He made me feel so comfortable and made me feel like a true Princess that day. He knows his business and from Shots of getting my MakeUp & Hair done, dress/shoes & Accessories, Bridal Party, etc; he was timely, exact and made it all so much Fun, but with a note of Let's get this as close to perfect as Possible. I LOVED his STYLE! Mark, my Videographer was amazing as Well. He was so in sync w/my Photographer. He talked us through shots, had us do the most relaxed moments, cutest, elegant little Shots, etc. Made us feel so at ease & comfortable. Our DJ George Hoffman was a Major Hit. Last March my daughter got married at the Water's Edge reception in Long Island City and it cost us a fortune. A few months back, she got married and my son got engaged. With no money to have a wedding, they wanted to go to the justice of the peace;I was not happy. I researched many hours on the computer, trying to find a way to give them a wedding they could afford. I found Rita, the owner of Lamar Wedding Center in Montclair; What a blessing!!! She worked with us and kept the price down . The whole package(Flowers for Girls, table arrangements, DJ, photographer,officiant, guitar music for ceremony and spanish translator) was the same price as the DJ, at my daughter's wedding. We just received the pictures from the photographer. There was NOT one bad picture; The Photographer took over 900 photos! The flowers were fresh and lasted over two weeks, after the wedding. Rita was our officiant and she combined Spanish traditions with Jewish traditions. She explained to our guests the meanings and reasons behind the two traditions . I have planned many parties from bar/bat mitzvah to weddings and been to many weddings. This was the most elaborate wedding I have ever been to. I would like to share my experience with Lamar. My wife and I had our wedding last year and I think Lamar did an excellent job. It's a one stop shop and it saved us a lot of energy and $$$. We did a lot of research before contacting Lamar and price wise Lamar is very reasonable. From wedding officiant, flower arrangement, to wedding photography - one stop shop with a very reasonable price, and everything went well as planned. It did NOT cost us arms and legs...both me and my wife were very happy with Lamar's service and pricing. To be fair, the photographer was not one of those top of the lines, but it served the purpose well and the photos came out just fine.I will give the photographer 4 stars. Oh well you can go hire one of those "professionals", but they will cost you $4k, $5k...I even had one "studio" quoted me for $7k....my question is, for average Americans, IS THIS REALLY NECESSARY??? Do we really need to spend that much money to "remember" this moment??? Is $7000 wedding photo shoot will make a better marriage between 2 people??? Or the life after the wedding, the love between the couple is more important??? The answer is very obvious...For me I think it is plain stupid to spend 4k, 5k or even 7k on wedding photo shoot unless you are all millionaires. read more

I want to set the record straight about Lamar Wedding Center...and, its owner...right away: 1) I am a paying client of Lamar Wedding Center; who has received wonderful...PROFESSIONAL photography, and savvy planning consultations. 2) I have, and will continue to recommend this business to anyone I know who is planning to get married. The combination of full services, professional expertise and small-business 'caring' can't be matched. 3) The owner of the business has made it her business to make her clients feel like family...both straight and LGBT 4) Unlike the unctuous "C.M.C", who wrote a scathing indictment of Lamar Wedding Center, I have actually done business with this establishment. This self-styled 'photography expert' is from Massachusetts (http://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=Zbw5-lUr_nRxQzbFkN99vA), and does nothing in his Yelp profile but rip businesses apart...many of them in other states than his own. I recently got married and decided to use Lamar Wedding Center to take the pictures at my wedding. I chose them because they were reasonably priced and had a fair number of good reviews. If I could do it all over again I would choose a different company. That Rita woman is just a money hungry business owner who did no real help in the whole process. Each time I went to the location she was always asking if we wanted anything else at our wedding that they offered. Our photographer was very nice, although the pictures she took were a little lackluster. When it came time to picking pictures for the album the process took longer than expected. If anyone uses them in the future take note that any corrections you make to the album should be written as though talking to a 4 year old, and even then don't expect a 100% success. Sometimes when a person is all over you trying to spend more it works, but Rita really just got under the skin very early and annoyed us with the constant question to get more stuff done with her. read more

We actually found Lamar Wedding Center by chance and decided to walk in... when we did we sat down with Rita who helped us every step of the way... making us feel very comfortable with the decisions we made .... when our wedding was postponed due to Covid Rita was very understanding and worked with us without hesitation on our new plans and new wedding date . When the day finally came , September 18th 2021, Lamar wedding center superseded our exceptions! The professionalism was above and beyond and everyone that was involved that day really helped make our day very special and amazing ! We recently just got our pictures and we are blown away ! I recently had the pleasure of working with Rita and leaving all the planning regarding my wedding in her hands. The warmth and friendly team who works at Lamar Wedding Center knows what they are about and gave insightful suggestions when my wife and I was uncertain about somethings. Awesome Place! This team saved our day.. what started out as a disaster came together perfectly. We used our friends for many of our services and unfortunately found out about Lamar too late. We only used them for Photo, Video and the Minister. Well, our cars came late, so, the owner called her driver and in 30 min. we were picked up from our hotel.. The florist we used came as a recommendation from my maid of honor. That was a bust! They forgot my Godmothers and my Mother's corsages. We called the emergency number at Lamar Wedding Center and they were able to get them to my reception hall in time for the family photos. Lamar Wedding Center did our wedding on June 22nd and we will forever have the best memories. Not only was the staff really nice but they did great work too. My husband was hesitant cause they told us we weren't allowed to book on the first visit to the studio cause they only accept 6 weddings a day and we thought that was a lot and we wouldn't get personal attention. Boy were we wrong. I can understand now why they cap it to 6 weddings per day. We used the officiant (Rita) who was phenominal and funny, the photography, video and flowers. I used Lamar Wedding Center for my photographer and DJ/MC at first; however added Videography at the very last minute (3 1/2 hours before the wedding!!). When I reached out to Andrew to ask for video, his response was "see you at the church!". I am so grateful to him and Rita for being so accommodating and professional. Had my wedding in December- Amazing and beautiful. Truly magical. Rita was amazing as an officiant and she made everything so easy and organized. I found their price so reasonable as well.
