I found Harris on google when I was looking for a marriage officiant in New York City. I contacted him via email and he answered within a few hours. We booked him the following day for a virtual wedding ceremony to complete our marriage certificate application. Harris was very professional and prompt in responding to your emails. He was also able to accommodate our scheduled even though we gave him less than 24 hour notice. He was enthusiastic and clear. He made the whole process simple. We were able to do the virtual wedding ceremony though zoom within half an hour. I was able to submit the application back to the city clerk within the same day. read more

Harris Bloom made our NYC wedding even more special than we could have imagined. We live in Dallas and decided to elope to NYC. Found Harris on Yelp and after I saw his youtube videos (standup and interviews) and found out he is active in animal rescue (New Yorker of the Week!), I was determined to have him for an officiant. At first my (then) fiance was reluctant to have a comedian officiate (fearing it would be too goofy), but his fears were completely unfounded...he ending up loving the ceremony & now brags that we were married by a comedian who appeared on an episode of Orange is the New Black! #BrushWithGreatness Harris sent us a questionaire in advance to get info about us as a couple, he artfully incorporated little personal nuggets about us into the ceremony, making it very personal. The ceremony was deeply moving with just the right amount of laughter. He even threw down some valuable marriage guidance and wisdom. My only regret is that we did not video the ceremony, it was so lovely! Logistically, Harris promptly responded to all emails, answered all questions and was right on time for the ceremony in Central Park. He submitted the license immediately after and we got our certificate in the mail very quickly. Thank you Harris! read more

Harris was the officiant at our wedding this past weekend and we couldn't have been more pleased. Despite living 3,000 miles away from him, he was so easy to get in touch with and talk to so the process of him getting to know us was super easy. We were even happier on the day of. He totally nailed the ceremony - it was heartfelt, humourous and most importantly personal. I would definitely recommend Harris to anyone! read more

We booked Harris 1 year ago. During this time, whenever I emailed him he responded with humor within (just about) 60 seconds. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 virus, we had to postpone the wedding to a date when Harris was unavailable. With his positive attitude, responsiveness, and wit, I know for a fact that he would make our ceremony unique and special. Don't hesitate. BOOK! NOW! You won't find anyone better. I've been on the phone with officiants all day. Trust me! I called them all. read more

Harris was an absolutely incredible officiant for our wedding on 3/23/18. Honestly, the actual ceremony was originally a second thought when I first started planning, but after meeting Harris, I knew the ceremony was going to be one of the highlights of the night! His story of how he came to be an officiant, as well as his other personal endeavors such as being a comedian and running an animal rescue group, resonated with us a couple. He sent a thoughtful questionnaire that would help him create the ceremony and met with us closer to our date to not only go over our responses, but also review the logistics of the wedding (processional, etc.), which was extremely helpful. Our wedding ceremony ended up being personal, funny, thoughtful, and timed perfectly. He has a wonderful way of writing that made it seem like my husband and I have know him for years, despite only meeting him once! All throughout the reception our guests raved how it was the best ceremony they've ever attended. Thank you, Harris, for making our ceremony so special! read more

We chose Harris as our officiant because we liked the idea of having a balance of humor and sincerity during our ceremony. Harris is a comedian as well as an officiant, so we knew he would keep the ceremony light. He also asked us many questions in order to write a speech that spoke to who we are. The advice he offered was meaningful and relatable. People said how touched they were by his words. read more

Harris is very patient and always respond email/ messages really fast. He always arrives early. We were fortunate to have Harris officiate at our wedding in November. He met with us ahead of time, and we were able to really know each other before the event. Harris communicated with us several times prior to the date, and customized the wedding, and it was literally perfect. For both of us, it was a second time around wedding, and we felt that his words were unique for our particular situations. We can not speak higher of this very professional, and spiritual man. (He does ask just how much religion a couple wants in the ceremony.) His humor is just perfect to make all that attend smile. We are very fortunate to have our lives together started off by this wonderful man. Thank you again, Harris. Jo Ann and John read more

We were able to find vendors relatively quickly but we took awhile to find an officiant because we knew we wanted someone special. We knew from the past weddings we've been to that we needed sound to work well so all could hear, that we wanted humor in it since that's a big part of our relationship, and we wanted it to be about us as a couple (rather than very religious). Harris delivered on all of these points. We kept joking we got a "Jewish comedian" to marry us leading up to the wedding, but the biggest joke of all was on us because we completely underestimated just how perfect the ceremony would be by doing so. Although we only had met him once on skype, he was still able to give us the run-down of what to do during the ceremony like 20 minutes before it began. During it, he was able to turn any normally-awkward situation into a laugh (i.e. Water spilled from the top of our tent onto some of our guests- "that's good luck!")- so he's clearly funny on the spot too. He also is a fantastic writer and spoke as if he's known Us for awhile (thanks to the questionnaire we filled out but also because of his willingness to incorporate that into his writing). All our guests keep saying how great our ceremony was too. Overall, best decision regarding vendors by a long shot. Thank you so much Harris! read more

Harris made our day and ceremony absolutely perfect!! He was so easy to meet with in planning our interfaith ceremony and helped us to decide on the various traditions we wanted to incorporate. He made us feel comfortable and we knew he was the right choice early on. The day of the wedding he was there early and helped to coordinate a very large wedding party. The ceremony was the BEST! Everyone is still talking about it - the perfect combination of humor and class, it was not boring, too long, or too short, just perfect. We cannot thank you enough Harris! Highly recommend you don't look any further when searching for the perfect officiant! read more

Harris Bloom was INCREDIBLE! I wish we could rate him even higher. He was the first and easiest choice we made when planning our wedding. As soon as we saw that he has a background in comedy, AND is an avid animal rescuer, we knew his personality would fit well with ours to create the perfect ceremony. He is extremely responsive and very quick to offer advice and help when needed, and he is very accommodating with scheduling phone calls and appointments. All of our exchanges were pleasant, and when my now-husband and I made a critical error (our fault) Harris was very considerate in helping us fix it. He was amazing. As for the ceremony itself, it was everything we hoped it would be. Harris had given us a questionnaire to fill out months earlier (very simple, nothing tedious) about how we met, why we love each other, our hobbies together, etc. He then read through our answers and discussed them with us when we met in person, where we elaborated and he took notes. This process led to the ceremony of our dreams. It was SO personal, as though he's known us for years, and it had just the right balance of humor and sentiment that we hoped for. Our guests raved that it was the best ceremony they've ever been to and that this was the first time they "ever witnessed two true soul mates getting married." That is largely in part to Harris, his excellent manner of speaking and writing, his friendly demeanor, and his true care for his clients. We very highly recommend him, you will not be disappointed. read more

Due to unfortunate circumstances, we were left without our officiant 2 weeks before our wedding. We did some research online and Harris was the one that caught our eye. His reviews were impressive and having hired him, we can attest to every single review! Super responsive, whether it be text, email, phone or Facetime. We really liked the fact he took time to get to know us via a questionnaire so he could customize a ceremony specifically for us. His humor was perfect, adding just the right amount into the ceremony. Our guests continue, even 2 weeks later, to talk about how awesome he was. We are very happy to have worked with Harris and HIGHLY recommend him!! Thank you, Harris!! read more

As a second marriage for both of us, we wanted different and Harris was different. We booked Harris six month previously to our wedding and the time in between went by to get to know us. He sent us a long questioner to fill out and we met him about a month before the wedding. He gave suggestions and prepared us for our big day. He came on time, he was funny, yet professional and he even tried to speak Hungarian to my mother. Everyone was telling us how much they liked his light and funny style. We made the right decision to choose Harris Bloom for our 05-27-2017 wedding ceremony and we would highly recommend him. Book your next event/wedding with Harris, you will not regret it! Harris did a wonderful job officiating our wedding ceremony on July 11th, 2016. Our wedding was unique in that it was a Russian-Indian fusion wedding which incorporated both a formal Hindu and Russian (Christian) ceremony. We wanted the day to portray the joining of two different religions and cultures. Harris was very open to all of our ideas in making this vision a reality: he successfully incorporated a russian pre-wedding tradition called "Buyout (Vikoop)", 2 religious Hindu/Christian readings, and our love story into our ceremony while still keeping it short and sweet. Harris was also our most responsive and organized vendor from the initial contact to the wedding day. On the day of, he arrived to our venue an hour early and played a big role in coordinating our wedding party in a very hectic environment. During the ceremony, Harris was articulate, eloquent, warm, and funny/serious at all the right times. He has a wonderful stage presence and exudes confidence and calm. One thing we both definitely did not want was a boring, expressionless officiant that drones on and on. Harris definitely anything but! Our ceremony was personal, romantic, funny, and perfect for us! read more

My wedding ceremony was the happiest moment of my life. My guests keep saying it was the best ceremony they have ever seen! Something truly magical happened in that room that night. Harris clearly wanted me to be happy. He performed a ceremony full of love and humor. He added the jewish elements that we requested and accomplished the complicated feet of making me feel the pagan elements I wanted without relatives noticing. My wedding was powerful! My guests laughed, cried, and cheered. But I only know this from the video as during he created such magic as all I did was feel pure pure joy. read more

Harris performed our wedding ceremony on 1/12, and he was fantastic. Our family and friends all raved about the ceremony after, and he did a great job keeping it light but meaningful, and really connecting with our audience. He did a great job guiding us in putting our ceremony together, and helped coordinate a lot of the rehearsal beforehand. We've been to a lot of weddings where the officiant was dry or dull or barely seemed to know the couple, and but Harris was the complete opposite. Not planning to require his services again, but would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant. read more

Harris bloom exceeded all of our expectations officiating our June 2016 wedding. When my wife and I met him in person, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and expertise. He returned every email promptly, and had many helpful and creative suggestions for us as we worked together to craft our ceremony. Conducting the ceremony, Harris's words were beautiful, heartfelt, and funny! He achieved a wonderful balance of paying due reverence to the sacred union of marriage and injecting humor and lightness for a more personal touch. On the day of our wedding he had helpful instructions for our wedding party and day-of coordinator that ultimately helped things run more smoothly. We got married on February 25, and Harris was AMAZING. My absolute favorite part of our wedding was our ceremony -- his words were absolutely beautiful and perfect. My husband and I come from different religions and backgrounds so I was nervous about how it would go, but he really said it all so well and was able to really understand who we both are and bring it all together so perfectly - he had everyone laughing and crying at the right moments.. Everyone was talking about it afterwards and even my father thought he was great (and trust me, getting him to love it is not easy to do!!). He really is the best - highly, highly recommended! read more

Harris is by far the best officiant we could have ever asked for! He made our ceremony so special and was the perfect balance of romantic, comical, serious, and whimsical. We received so many compliments from our guests on how he performed the best ceremony anyone has ever seen. Harris was a most unexpected joy at our wedding. We had an amazing in person meeting with Harris wherein he asked us all sorts of questions about ourselves and our relationship. You'd think this would be awkward and difficult to do with a stranger, but he made us feel so comfortable and at ease that we were able to open up to him about our love for each other. He was the most responsive vendor we worked with, answering all of our questions promptly and efficiently. Incredibly, that one meeting turned into the most heartfelt, personal ceremony I've ever heard. He was sentimental, serious, personal, heartfelt sprinkled with humorous tidbits here and there to lighten the mood. Any of my nerves from walking down the aisle simply melted away once I was up there standing across from my husband, listening to a ceremony that felt so personal and real to us. After the ceremony, we heard so many rave reviews about the officiant. Our friends and family loved him! My mom said she was over the moon about it! I hadn't realized how important the ceremony could be and can tell you that this is the most memorable part of our wedding day. Can't say enough positive things about Harris. read more

Today is Tuesday, 2 days after my wedding, and all I keep hearing from friends, family, and coworkers is how wonderful the ceremony was. Harris is the world's best officiant. Our ceremony was personal, sentimental, and had brilliant touches of humor at all the right times. First Harris takes the time to know you and your partner either through in person meetings or Facetime calls. This allows him to tailor his ceremony with wonderful personal and sentimental touches, and his background in stand up comedy will infuse the perfect blend of funny moments. I sent Harris dozens of emails in the weeks/months leading up to the wedding, and each was met with a prompt response. And on the day of the wedding when we had no idea what we were doing, where to be, where to walk, the order of the wedding procession, etc...Harris took charge and organized and ran the show. My guests, new bride and I could not have been happier with how the wonderful the ceremony was. Thank you Harris! read more

All of our guests loved the ceremony and commented on what a great job Harris did. He was relaxed, spoke clearly, made our guests laugh and overall made everyone feel comfortable. Harris far exceeded our expectations! He was very easy to work with and very responsive to any questions. He's available anytime of the day (We're a bit concerned he doesn't sleep!). He has couples answer a series a questions about the relationship to help him customize his ceremonies. All the questions were very thoughtful and thorough. It forced myself and my fiancé to reflect on our relationship. Based on the questions asked on the questionnaire we had a feeling that the ceremony would be very customized and personal, sentimental and funny. He also met up with us in person a month prior to the wedding to get to know us a little bit better. He is very punctual and even arrived an hour early to our wedding to make sure he had time to familiarize himself with the venue, logistics and made sure he'd avoided any unforeseen transportation delays. There is something very calming about Harris that made us feel very comfortable around him. From beginning to end of the ceremony, every word and every phrase were all very well thought out. He made us and all our guest cry a river and laugh out loud so many times. Whenever my fiancé and I made a mistake (out of nervousness) he simply cracked a joke and in doing so made us and our guests laugh and feel comfortable. Most if not all our guest were all very impressed with Harris and his amazing ceremony. He's awesome. I would highly recommend him. I think most of our single friends have put him on the top of their officiant list when they get married! read more
