About half the roof, along with 7 skylights were damaged. The insurance adjuster just wanted to replace the damage sections but David argued that these tiles were no longer manufactured and any other tile would not match the dimensions or the color. Hence, all of the roof needed replacement. It was a 2100 sf house plus 600 sf garage that required 30 squares of concrete-based hail resistant tiles. They could not do the repair for about 4 months, so a crew was sent to tarp the roof. 4 months later they started, took about a week with an 8 man crew. Result was absolute perfection. Super teamwork and craftsmanship.

I will say that it's a bit intimidating because there are big rigs flying in and out with tons of scrap metal! It was quite an experience that I will not soon forget. The attendant was very helpful. They have large scales to weigh the copper, and hand you a receipt showing the total weight and what they pay per pound, $3.70. They do require you show a valid driver's license, and they take your photo. I declined because I thought it was optional, but they said it's for security because apparently copper is stolen often. I laughed and obliged. It is not a business that I will need to return to any time soon, but I most definitely will recommend them to anyone looking to sell their copper or scrap metal.
