Being a first time parent and transitioning your child from being with you 24/7 to daycare is tough, for child and parent alike. What I found incredibly helpful was the time Ms. Penny took to answer all of our questions and make us feel confident in our decision. The transition was very smooth, our little one runs to the door every time we say it's time for school. He often just runs straight into the classroom, already busy playing, a true reflection of his teachers' supportive and caring nature. He is confident and at ease, and what's been most surprising is how much his knowledge and learning continue to expand. From watching him dance with his classmates to fun tunes, to seeing him replicate that at home, or hearing him point to our eyes and ears and say the words, every day feels like he develops a new skill. His vocabulary and social skills are both continuously growing. Although leaving your child to go to work never gets easier, I have full peace of mind knowing he is in the right hands. We are constantly updated with pictures and videos from his day, along with fun events, dress-up days, learning milestones, and classroom activities. They also have an amazing backyard with real grass for the kids to run around in, and even a splash area during the summer. All in all, I couldn't recommend Goddard on East Germann enough and am endlessly grateful to Ms. Penny, his teacher Ms. Sydni and the amazing teachers who care for our son.

I was terrified to put my daughter In school as a first time mom. I actually couldn't handle the anxiety so I pulled her out after I was sobbing all day the first day she was gone. Well, penny and the staff were not only empathetic but made me feel comfortable doing things on my own time table. So when I decided to try again a week later I was welcomed with open arms. The quality of the teachers here feels more like a family. Everyone in the school helps each other. Miss Jazzy, Miss Caitlin, really every single teacher I have ever met has made me feel like home. They all know your child and love your child. Miss Wulan and Miss Ann Marie were her home room teachers and wow. These woman.. they don't make them like this anymore! Positive, loving, personal, engaged are only a few ways to describe them. They have been absolutely instrumental to Logan's growth and experience. She has thrived and become a social butterfly. These teachers never look tired and are always up beat. Ms Chrystal at the front desk always welcomes you with warmth and familiarity and never judged how many incident reports my daughter had. I was always met with comfort and understanding whenever I was worried about something my Daughter had done! And the school is owned and managed by Penny who is a GEM of a human being. These women are loving, smart, and are valued so much. They deserve the world and I'm so grateful to have found them. I'm forever in debt to this school and all it has done for myself and my daughter. Also, they know how much I love them and never once asked for a review. Very rarely any issues, all the children seem to get along with one another and the environment is very welcoming and accommodating. Student:Teacher ratio is decent but manageable. Met a lot of new families, many of whom we're still in contact with. The only reason we're no longer at the school is because we moved to a new place pretty far but would still go to Spondeo! Ms. Kim and Ms. Nicolette are both incredible. My little one absolutely loved being in class with them and would always look forward to school every day. Ms. Kim takes a lot of time to make sure each child is learning and cares for them immensely. Humble brag but my child is ahead of her peers at her new school and her teacher has mentioned how impressed she is seeing everything learned from Ms. Kim. My kid was reading at age 3, counting to 100 and simple addition by age 4. After two years of study my child is in the upper range for Kinder & 1st grade reading and math thanks to being in Ms. Kim's class. She is gifted academically, but she also has needs that simply do not fit neatly into a traditional classroom model. Before coming to Spondeo, we were at a gifted school in the Chandler district and were repeatedly told that what she needed most was a gifted environment so she wouldn't be bored. On paper, that made sense. In reality, it was an awful fit for her. What we have learned is that being gifted was never the whole picture. Yes, she needs to be challenged academically, and she absolutely thrives when given the opportunity to move at her own pace. But she also needs an environment that understands her nervous system, gives her room to regulate, and does not demand conformity simply for the sake of making a child fit into a traditional mold. That is where Spondeo has been such a blessing. They see the whole child. They recognize that a student can be incredibly advanced academically while still needing patience, flexibility, movement, choice, sensory support, and a different approach when something feels overwhelming. Instead of treating those needs like obstacles, Spondeo works with them. They meet her where she is and still continue to help her grow. Academically, she is able to flourish. She can work at the level she is capable of without being artificially held back by age or grade expectations. But what means even more to us is that Spondeo understands that education is not just about how quickly a child can read, write, or do math. A child has to feel safe enough to learn. They have to trust the adults around them. They have to be given space to become independent without constantly being forced into compliance. We have seen such a difference in our daughter since coming here. She walks into school independently. She is participating, completing work, building relationships, and finding success again. For some families, those things may sound ordinary. For us, after the school experiences we came from, they are enormous. The communication from her teachers has also been thoughtful, honest, and compassionate. When something is difficult, the conversation is not simply about what she did wrong. They look at what happened, what she needed in that moment, what strategies might help, and how everyone can support her moving forward. That approach has brought our family a level of peace that we did not have before. For a long time, we thought the answer was simply finding a better gifted school. It turns out what our daughter really needed was Montessori. She needed an environment like Spondeo, where her giftedness could be nurtured without sacrificing her emotional well-being, where her differences were understood instead of punished, and where she could be challenged without being forced to conform. After spending the day with him, he definitely needs more one on one attention with a teacher assistant to officially potty train him, remind him to have gentle hands around his fellow students, assist him in keeping his shoes on both inside and outside the classroom for his safety, and to make certain he doesn't rip up books and other classroom belongings. I think you are definitely on the right track with getting him tested for speech and seeing what other ways the school district can assist you in your academic journey. After four months, he is much better at writing his name and cutting with scissors as well. Mrs. Beth and Mrs. Jessica are so patient, organized, funny and creative. I know that our kiddo is in good hands and appreciate the small class size for extra attention. They are good at communicating any concerns and send out a newsletter with upcoming curriculum, social events(holiday concert, fall festival), requests, etc. If we are still in Arizona next year, we will definitely put our son in the Pre-K class, which meets 3 days per week.
