The first game was "survey says" which is similar to family feud, in the next game we spun a wheel to solve a puzzle which is similar to wheel of fortune, next was "guess the price and the drop" which is similar to the price is right. You're allowed to BYOB and bring snacks for your event The simplified explanation is you pick the vessel you want, which range in prices, then you pick your scents (there's a ton to choose from and you can smell them to get a feel for which you prefer), then you have a seat and the chandler pours hot wax for you, you add your scents and then you can add some final accoutrements like gems, glitter or dried flowers, and voilà! The whole process lasts 60-90 minutes. The candles take a day to set so you leave your custom creation there and pick it up the next day or thereafter! It was an absolute blast and I can't wait to come back again with my girl friends sometime! The value is well worth it for an evening of fun and craftiness and a custom item you get to enjoy! I also asked a few friends to join the Kintsugi workshop on self-discovery with me. Heading up the steps of Mala Market, the space already had people anticipating the start of the session by the time we got there. Pro tip: Give yourself time to park. We were greeted and instructed to grab a bowl before sitting at communal tables. The cost of the workshop covers the session and materials we used as well. Going into the workshop, Mai centered us with some breathing and meditation. It was time I had not given to myself in a long while, and I happily settled into the moment. I don't want to give details of the session away, but I will say that Mai created a space of calm, self-reflection, and creativity, ensuring it was a safe space to share without judgment. Ultimately, we all walked out into the shop feeling joyful and refreshed. It's just what I needed heading into the week. We all agreed that we would attend another session in the future!
