Before going to Lakewood's Chiropractic, I thought all chiropractors were the same, crack some bones and send a bill, with little care about what caused the problem or who I was, as long as the insurance checks kept rolling in. Since going for my first appointment at Lakewood's Chiropractic (4 years ago) I have found that the doctors and staff at Lakewood's Chiropractic truly care about me (and their other patients) as a person, not just a check coming in from an insurance company. I have never seen a doctor or their staff care so much for the overall well being of their patients. Dr. Gerard has spent a lot of his personal time doing research and educating his patients on how they can live a healthy life. He tries to give you the tools you need to live a longer and healthier life. He also shows you how to use those tools by setting great examples for you to follow. My wife and I have been going to Lakewood's Chiropractic for the last 4 years, and in that time, I have to say the changes that they have made for me have been great. I no longer have back and knee pain and I am rarely sick. When my wife and I were blessed with our son three years ago, Dr. Gerard came to the hospital the day after to give our son his first adjustment, now he is a regular. I always thought that chiropractic care was for post injury. So unfortunately it took an incident at the gym to make my initial consultation. They were able to fit me in right away and as expected, my alarming consultation led them to do X-Rays. Those discovered my issues. All of my inflamed areas of my spine all coordinated with the issues I had been experiencing since my weight loss. I would suffer from headaches almost daily, my fingertips and toes would go numb, I would get dizzy and lose balance, lower back pain, and I am sure the list could go on and on. What I never really noticed was how bad I actually slept before seeing Dr. Gerard (even-though my Fitbit told me how bad on a daily basis). I was in the worst pain of my life when I walked into that office and oddly enough after my very first adjustment I had the greatest night's sleep. After my second adjustment it got even better. I instantly started having more energy, feeling better, no longer hitting snooze 3-4 times before actually getting out of bed. I actually have the motivation to go for walks again and I didn't realize that my spine health could have been the root of my issues. Originally came to lakewoods to get relief from back pain and migraines. Lakewoods did so much for me. They keep both myself and my 2 very active boys on the go. Since starting care at lakewoods my headaches and back pain are so minimal, I hardly ever get sick, my allergies are almost nonexistent. My kids are hardly ever sick and if they are they bounce back so fast. My oldest son age 9 has suffered from Constipation since he was a baby and since he started care he hasn't had one day of Constipation! He is free to be active with his friends instead of in pain and in the restroom for hours at a time. I am writing this review to tell about my story after going to Lakewoods Chiropractic I was in a car accident about a year and a half ago and had been suffered from migraine headaches, acid reflex, terrible back pain, and other small problems. Dr Gerard has done wonders for my health recovery. The staff and doctors at Lakewood Chiropractic are dedicated to helping people with so many health issues. Dr. Gerard and his staff provide a high level of care to their patients. Appointments are quick and concise to get you moving on with your day. You really get the most value here compared to those other chiropractors that don't actually spend the time to analyze what's actually going on with your body.
