Less than twenty minutes later he called to inform us of the work required and that they would provide an estimate. He never mentioned that they charge a minimum 1.5 hr rate for providing an estimate. Their quote was called in at three times the amount from another plumber. Clearly, we went with the other plumber as Archie Horn & Son are price gaugers. Their invoice also included a $20 fuel surcharge which is exorbitant and no longer valid since fuel costs decreased significantly. Like most plumbers, what Archie Horn and Son charge for estimating (the cost of doing business) is criminal. They were referred to us by another Hamilton plumber Wentworth Plumbing, who are part of the same price gauging mafia. There are no honest plumbers in Hamilton anymore. Homeowners Beware!
