Very clean nice beach. Swimming area was a little small but that's about it. Had nice bathrooms and snack bar.

A good park along Lake Erie with a beach. It isn't the nicest park but it's still clean. Lakeview Park has some pretty nice views. Being right next to the lake it can get lots of people hanging out. There's plenty of space other than the beach including many picnic tables. Beach is the best part about it. It has some clean sand. This is an ugly brown color of course but it's not littered though. If you aren't here for the beach, there's other parts of the park that are good. There's a lot of grassy areas with hang out spots. Plenty of picnic tables for the family. This also is a nice place for pets. It has some okay bathrooms. Maybe they smell a bit. They keep them clean though.

I grew up near this beach and have been coming here as long as I remember. It's a perfect spot to watch the sunset. The rose gardens and fountain are also great. I haven't swam here since I was a wee one but I do see a lot of people in the water when I go. I love just bringing a towel and hanging out listening to the sounds of the lake.

    The colors are soo mesmerizing!

A park with a super amazing view of the lake that has a good sized beach you soo know I'm all about that and I totally found it here! Coming here I was like it's just another park on the lake but besides that I found one of the prettiest fountains I have seen in sooo long as it kept drawing me closer to it with it's majestic colors I became more all for it as I just started to love it more and more even with the wind slashing it's fountain water on me the colors of the fountain just kept becoming more and more mystifying the more I looked into it I became soo much in a trance with it that my friend had to drag me away from it's powers so that I could get back to reality just one more time! Yes needless to say it's all about the fountain so go visit if not for just the beach but the fountain too it's totally worth it! Overall super cool beach park with an amazing fountain what more could I ask for!

This is by far my favorite beach in Ohio. If you are looking for the perfect staycation beach getaway look no further...Lorain has what you are looking for. If you would have told me go to Lorain, I would have asked why, what for. We stumbled upon this beach last year and had NO idea it existed. We had a few days off this week and jumped at the chance to come here. They have concessions, clean restrooms, plenty of play areas for kids and a phenomenal rose garden, the beach is clean and meticulously maintained. We packed a picnic basket, threw in a few treats, sunscreen and blankets...now to even out my farmers tan!

Beautiful park in Lorain overlooking Lake Erie! Love watching sunsets here and the rose garden is gorgeous. When the roses are in bloom, it is a must see. Plenty of parking and the restrooms are decent.

My favorite beach ! Clean, great views, lots of room to distance yourself. There is a snack bar bathrooms and place to shower off. I also love to watch the Purple Martins who nest nearby and the beautiful, fragrant rose garden along with the fountain there . I travel an hour from home to get to this beach I make a day of it . Worth the drive

Lakeview Park is by far my favorite place to go in the city of Lorain. The Lorain County Metroparks has done an amazing job taking care of this beautiful place and should be commended for bringing a little piece of heaven back into an otherwise bleak city. If you are looking for a beautiful and safe place in the city then give this place a shot!!! Lakeview Beach is a great place to sunbathe and swim. It is also an awesome place to watch the sunset while taking a stroll on the immaculate sandy beach. Lakeview Park has a lot to offer. Here are some of the things that you can enjoy while hanging out at Lakeview. Swimming with lifeguards on duty Fishing Beach volleyball The historic rose garden Playground equipment on the beach Sunbathing Lots of Lake glass and lucky stones Lawn bowling Concessions Clean restrooms with individual showers Gazebos and picnic shelters (charcoal grills available) Awesome views of the sunset over the lake Summer concerts and activities Kayak launching Wedding and reception space available Plenty of space for the kids to run around Beautiful fountain with a light show (approximately Memorial Day until Labor Day)

This lake side park is fabulous since the Lorain County MetroParks has taken over. I take my mother there often to roam the massive rose garden, she enjoys reading the history behind it every time. It was a nice night to watch the sunset tonight, not too hot or cold. The lunch spot that serves is a nice addition, make sure to check for their hours, which vary. They have a huge, clean beach with life guards. The have have bocce ball courts which was adorable to watch the older gentlemen play on.

Great place for a breezy stroll. Plus a lot of Pokéstops. The landscaping adds a calming touch. Christmas always has a nice might show.

The water in Lake Erie isn't the cleanest, however, and it is not always safe to swim in.

It's Ohio and fall...the most beautiful time of year! I wanted to go for a walk outside to enjoy…read morethe sun that was trying to peak out after many days of rain. And I wanted to embrace the fall colors. But, I wanted a path that wouldn't be muddy. I made an impromptu decision to take my son and boyfriend to Miller Nature Preserve because I knew it would be dry inside the conservatory and from what I remembered, there were some paths along the building outside. We started inside, which is amazing on its own. We paid $2 per person to go inside and experience the warm humid climate and jungle like setting. Tropical plants are everywhere, along with some cactus and bonsai trees. It's a great place to go anytime of year, but I would imagine winter months would be very enjoyable here to warm up and see some greenery. Then we walked around outside in their garden areas, which is really pretty too. Not too much to look at this time of year as everything is transitioning to winter. We were surprised to find a gravel path that went into the woods outside of the parking lot. We didn't pay attention to the map posted at the beginning of the trail, as we assumed it would be a short path. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised and very wrong! We walked through the woods for about an hour. We didn't see anyone else on the path so it was quite magical. The trees were just starting to change and the sun would peak out from the clouds occasionally. At some point the path seemed to feel like we were on someone's private property, and we were very confused, but the garden area we came across was beautiful. All sorts of cool stones, a little pond, and millstones galore. Then we somehow ended up on the trail again, which ran next to a creek. There were benches scattered about the trail as well. I never knew these trails were back there! It was an enjoyable adventure and I hope to come back soon!

There were no updated reviews about the pricing but it definitely isn't $2 per person anymore. It's…read more$4 per person to see a very small space. It had less variety and square footage than the free city greenhouse, Rockefeller Gardens (stellar place!). My 8 yr old's admission was a joke because she declared it was very hot and stepped outside to the front desk and gift shop within a minute of stepping inside. Honestly, children under 10 should be free with the amount of interest holding them there. There was only 1 other separate room with some bonsais and a caged chameleon that was displayed in a way that was hard to see. In mid April, many flowers/fruits still weren't in bloom or already bloomed or I don't know. The conservatory itself only gets 3 stars in my opinion but the best part is actually the outer grounds and trails. The trails were great and we got to see all sorts of birds (blue jays, mallards, Canadian geese, woodpeckers, finches, etc.), squirrels, chipmunks, deer. The small garden area surrounding the butterfly cage was cute. We also saw the world's cutest dog there that I mistook for a rabbit--a baby French bulldog.
