Our captain was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the history and so much many more tidbits of info regarding Bantam Lake and the houses surrounding it. The captain had a last minute issue and called to let us know he will be a little bit late. For that reason the owner took money off the price of the tour. This was unexpected and extremely nice of this small business owner. I will be telling everyone about this tour and encouraging them to go. Too many tickets are sold leading to over crowding…read more Inexperienced and in attentive lift operators are one tragic accident away from someone being seriously injured or worse. I watched someone not make it off the lift on a weekend. The lift was moving way too fast for the number of people at the top of the mountain. The lift hit the person in the back and knocked them down. They were clearly hurt and had to be brought down by ski patrol. The lift operator never stopped it the lift. He didn't noticed it knocked a skier down. This is beyond negligent and dangerous. Stay away!

Horrible business with rude employees…read more - Initially I came by and they said I could start my reservation at 12:00PM. - I passed a 15 min course to learn that the boat is actually unavailable due to weather; - the guy at the cashier said -- "I'm uncomfortable putting you on a boat because there is an upcoming storm coming" - come back at 3pm. - I called them multiple times between 1:30-2:30 to find out if the weather is ok to rent a boat or not - nobody answered - at 345 a very angry man called me and demanded that I pay for the boat a full price. Very dishonest practice of doing business. Horrible cancelation policy and borderline fraudulent enterprise. I lost $300 despite being told by an employee that it's unsafe for me to take a boat tour: I'll be reporting them to multiple government agencies and will be seeking remedies. Very unfair and dishonest. Avoid at all cost.

My only real complaint is that, like almost all CT campgrounds, they don't allow dogs, so I can't enjoy camping in the park, but from a day use perspective this is a great park.

The showers are clean and the water is just right. Every day the camp site workers come by to keep everything nice and neat. Definitely a place to return to in the future, we paid $77 for 4 days, 6 people, 2 tents & 2 vehicles.... you can't beat that for a great outdoors experience with the family.
