Here comes another bad review. Kanga roofing installed a metal roof on my house approximately 10 years ago. Shortly after the roof was installed , during a rain storm the back section of the roof began to leak. I called them and the came back. They indicated the skylight (which they installed) was installed improperly. They made the repair(in the dark) but that section of roof continued to leak. I called them back two more times but the leaking continued periodically. Each time damaging the interior window frame, wood ceiling and wall. Kanga Roofing's solution was to remove the skylight. Finally, frustrated by the progressively increasing leaking I hired another highly qualified roofing contractor. In the process of making their repairs they discovered improper flashing, rotted decking and small holes in the flashing. Exterior repairs alone came to almost Seven Thousand dollars. When I contacted Kanga Roofing they said I violated their warranty by not contacting them for the repairs. I contacted them 3 times and they did not fix the problem. Their employee's do not possess the skills to install any roof that requires technical competence. Like some of the reviewers, I'll probably see them in small claims court. read more

Beware of this company. We ended up paying $556.00 for a 20 minute roof repair (mind you it was a low, flat roof and not a dangerous situatioin) It was not a huge leak either. They slapped something on and just one month later when it rained again it was once again leaking. We knew it would be a short time involved in the repair, also gave us no guarantee it would work. We were at their mercy paying this amount as no one else would come and even look at the roof. We emailed them and they said for us to buy some of the same stuff they used and re=do it ourself. We are 70 and we are not roof repair savvy. Anyway we hope they are happy they used the last of our emergency funds for the year. Also it must also be nice to make $1,668.00 an hour ripping off people. Hope they have a nicer Christmas with our money. Beware of this company. read more

We had a roof leak which we didn't know about until all this rain. Eugene came out immediately and fixed the problem along with helping repair some other minor gutter issues. We have nothing but positive things to say and so grateful for the promptness and courtesy we received on such a miserable, cold rainy day. The cost was VERY fair. So many thanks and we will definitely use Kanga in the future and recommend them fully. read more

If I could rate them a 0 I would. Poor communication and overpriced. Accused insurance company not responding in timely manner as well. I spoke with owner for deposit back and she said extra commutation and emails are not free with estimates. Hung up on me and I wI'll be seeking a lawyer. read more

Worst job ever by a roofing contractor. The classic "bait and switch"....I was promised the best materials, the best highly trained professionals, the best warranty possible, the fancy "new roof-no mess" buggy, and all work to be completed as stated on the Service Agreement. I received none of it. What I got was 5 workers that didn't speak English and did more damage than repair to my house. The company actually had to bring in another crew to fix the damage that I couldn't reach with my ladder. I took this company to Small Claims Court and won judgement. We hired this company to do some repairs on the roof of our new home. The team doing the repairs onsite disagreed with the salesman's recommendations of what should be done, saying that the salesman recommended the wrong repairs. This should have been our first indication that something wasn't quite right. Part of the work included gutter installation, which they outsource to another company. They forgot to put the covers on and had to return in the middle of winter to install them. The covers don't work well and we have been trying to ask the company to replace them, but the company has completely ignored our voicemails and emails. Run, don't walk, from this company. They don't know what they're talking about and their customer service is non-existent. read more

Buyer beware! We called these people to get a quote on a metal roof. At first the guy seemed nice, genuine. Presented himself and his team as family oriented, professional people. Once he priced out our quote, he started getting pushy. I mean Really pushy to close the sale right then and there. Using phrases like "you dont want drug addicts and people from the county jail up on your roof, do you?". It was very awkward, as I told him my husband and I would like to talk and get back to him since he was our first quote. He didn't get the message, suggesting we go talk in the kitchen while he was there. He even tried pulling a stunt to work with our insurance company to get minor damage on our old roof covered to save us money. If you know anything about insurance, you know your payments go up when you start claiming minor things. & what he said was the damage amount, was astronomically high for the square footage. My guess is it was a gimmick to get us to sign a contract. At the end of the day, we got 2 other quotes from reputable companies and both were 40% less than this guy. No exaggeration. We now know why he pushed so hard for a first visit signing. Also beware google and Facebook reviews can be deleted by the owners, so take them with a grain of salt. read more

Please PLEASE do not use Kanga Roofing (Lakeside Roofing)! SO many things went wrong! The first one was the salesman bringing his young son to our house for a quote. Kid walked in with dirty feet, banged his toy car on our table. Leave your kid home. Second was when it was dumpster removal time - apparently they came to our house twice but there was a car in the driveway so they couldn't get to it. Got a threatening phone call from them that they were going to start charging us $100/day - our reply was "how about a phone call first, people?!?" But the biggest problem was the final inspection. Apparently, Kanga was supposed to arrange a town inspection of the fire/ice shield after it was applied but failed to do so. So when WE called for our final, we were told we couldn't get it for this reason. Called Kanga, they never sent anyone from management when the inspector came out. (My husband took 3 hours off of work for this). We only got our approval because I, the homeowner, had happened to take a picture of the work when it was being installed. SO unprofessional!!! read more
