Then to make matters worse, the dealership informed me the failure would NOT be covered under the extended warranty. All repairs would be my responsibility. After three phone calls and lots of tears I remember the advertising for Stark Mobile Detailing and immediately called. I can't say enough positives about my experience. Lee promptly returned my call and text message, he gave me great details on what I could realistically expect and he even squeezed me into his schedule. The only day available, Sunday June 17th. BE CAREFUL! They will quote you one price but when you go to…read morepick your vehicle up be prepared! They will charge you a lot more than they quote on their brochure and a lot more than they say when you go in for a quote! I was told they would do my whole exterior of my truck for $475 and that was what I expected when I went to pick it up; that was the verbal quote and also the price on their brochure. I was told at time of pickup, "it went better than expected so it's not going to be as much as expected, the total is only $600!!! Where did that come from? Don't you expect, when told that it went better than expected, that the total is actually going to be less? Certainly not more! The reason: "We had to buff it for only two hours instead of three hours so the cost is less than expected". Less? What? The expected price was expected to be as your brochure and your verbal quote of $475, and the anticipation of a lower cost is then blown out of the water when you say "it's only $600". Well guess what - they have you by the short hairs at that time...they have your keys with the behind that counter! Their reasoning? "We had two hours of buffing rather than the anticipated 3 hours, so that's why I said it would be a lower price than anticipated." Well, considering I went there to be a "buff and shine" which is part of the "preserve a shine package", you would clearly expect buffing to be part of the deal, wouldn't you? If there was less buffing than they anticipated, you would think it would cost less, not more, if there was to be any price variation. You can read their brochure and price list for yourself - there is no mention of a per hour buffing fee in addition to the listed services and attendant prices! I highly recommend you go anywhere, anywhere at all, rather than experience what I've experiences with this place. If you do choose to use their services get a written and very detailed quote up front and hold them to it. Caveat Emptor "Let the Buyer Beware" certainly applies to Tidy Car in Benton Harbor!
