Lot to say here, Oct 6 2024 A huge turnover in his staff, almost weekly. Now just him and one assistant. Last time I emailed the office, "She does not work here any longer. Impossible to contact the office, have to leave a message. A root canal just last week, few days later not healing as it should. Below is an email I sent the Dr. yesterday. I'm in a lot of pain. Dr R said "Rx called in." I took public transportation to Yokes in the rain, Pharmacist said I do not have an Rx for you! I have a dentist's appointment on Monday at 8. My new dentist found an infection and Rx Sent. The pharmacist was shocked I was sent home after my Root canal with no Rx! read more

I have been going to Lakeside dental for about 2 years. During that time I found them to be professional and did their jobs thoroughly. However, on my last visit I was shocked to realize they had only one hygienist on staff. There was no one at the reception desk. Their one dentist was out sick. I was in for a cleaning that normally takes at least an hour. I was in and out in 30 minutes. It looks like their business is falling apart. So I am moving to a new dentist. read more

my first visit was fine, but after that it all went down hill from there.... I have never been treated less at any dental office and probably one of my worst experiences. I was constantly given false information or lied to I had to re-schedule my cleaning twice due to my hygienist calling out but no one gave me a phone call about it being canceled. When I spoke with the receptionist ( who was very rude) when i arrived for my 8am! appointment she said that she called me and left a voicemail and email mind you my voicemail doesn't work and i did not receive an email, I a had asked how she left a voicemail if my voicemail doesn't work and she got up set and just said well wait here we can see if we can get you in (again rude un-caring voice) an hour passed for her to tell me she couldn't get me in Finally when I got in for my cleaning my teeth were not cleaned well and while i was getting my teeth cleaned they had me sign a paper saying to get my teeth cleaned again in 6 months when i asked what it was about the hygienist just stated "o its just somethin stating that you understand that you have to pay out of pocket with your next visit in 6 months" so I signed it I was fine with that but would be having my baby right at the time they wanted me to come in and they said its fine come in when your ready Fast-forward to my trying to schedule a cleaning they are now telling me that that paper i signed said I had to have my teeth clean in exactly 6 months or I can n longer get cleanings through them i explained to them that I had many complications after having my baby and could not come in the last thing i was thinking of was a teeth cleaning 4 months past due just got done with maternity leave was feeling better i wanted to get seen and now i cant even though i was paying out of pocket! oooooo not to mention they informed me that they gave me this paper I signed ........ they did not and had spoke to someone previously explaining why i cant come in and they said everything was fine but was not when i actually tried to make the appointment the receptionist just basically said that my complications were not a reason not to come like she knew what i went threw and was there I have never given a bad review for a dental place but this one deserves one if anyone would like to see a good dentist who will take you even if your past due on a cleaning doesn't just want to run up your insurance and treat you like trash because you are on state go to optima dental you will no be disappointed I've gone to them for years but had to get state due to losing my insurance because of working less due to nursing school read more

first time at this dentist. I was needing my teeth cleaned and examined. after my 1st visit. The dentist suggested that I have my wisdom tooth removed. So, trusting that this was the most important thing that needed to be done , I agreed. my next appointment they scheduled for my tooth to be removed. the dental assistant was great. Not sure who numbed my gums, but I'm pretty sure they poked me full of holes. after about 10-15 min the dentist came in to start. He started cutting through my tooth i just about hit the ceiling it hurt so bad!!! never have I had a extraction that hurt so bad. the dentist stopped, and the dental assistant had to numb my gums more. I was in pain.... after the extraction my jaw mouth hurt for about 3 weeks. again I've had extractions before, but none that hurt so bad. I would not refer this dentist to anyone. read more

Had my first visit, this office had been highly recommended and now I see why. Everyone wonderful, kind and genital. Angie was terrific, showed me the office, sat with my and explained the puppy program. Hygienist great also, very kind. Diana at font desk went up and beyond to work with my on appointments and insurance. I explained to Angie and Dr Rob my anxiousness and that I didn't care how many shots just don't want to feel anything. Looking forward to a long relationship. read more

I would not recommend Lakeside Dental. Their staff is nice but they say one thing and do another. False information given multiple times. Called as a new patient to get in for a cleaning, they told me I could schedule a cleaning after I went in for X-rays and exam which is totally normal. The actual dentist told me in person during my appointment to go up on my way out schedule a cleaning so I went up to do so after my appointment and they aren't accepting any cleaning appointments. Due to Covid restrictions I'd been unable to get to a dentist in two years, needless to say I was anxious about my long overdue cleaning and exam appointment. Thanks to the staff at Lakeside Dental, my anxiety was immediately laid to rest and my experience there far exceeded my expectations. The dental hygienist was very thorough, gentle, and professional. Dr. Rob was extremely personable and easy to talk to. I am very very happy with my experience there and would not hesitate to recommend their services. read more

Unfortunately, that this dentist started off great when we started three years ago, but because of artifice dynamics, losing dentists and all of the hygienists, they literally cannot get you in for appointments for almost a year. My husband and I were faithful customers and were scheduled for cleanings that were due in October and November 2023. I called in September to make appointments and were very abruptly told they are not scheduling and they won't be scheduling until after December. I called back at the end of November and they still wouldn't schedule us for cleanings. They lost all of their hygienist, but one and are going to be relying on the new grads that are graduating in, January 2024. While they are on one of the only dentist that takes Molina, they require you to spend $89 on a second cleaning in order to use your Molina benefits. Would not recommend this office after everything that has happened. . read more

Dr. Rob is the best dentist that I've ever been treated by! I had a bad baseball accident back in the day, so I've seen many dentists. It was completely different with Dr.Rob and his staff at Lakeside Dental who truly took great care of me, I will be going there for life. They even have two beautiful trained dogs, Max and Mandi, that are able to help keep patients calm, such as people like myself who get nervous about seeing a dentist. I would recommend Lakeside Dental to all my friends and family! I was also surprised by some of the yelp reviews, I noticed they had almost 500 reviews that are great over on Google. 5/5 all the way and I am a stickler about writing reviews, unless it's well deserved. read more

I've had extensive work done with my teeth and I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars on my teeth.. Years past I had awful appointments with other practices and have had to get my teeth fixed by another dentist. . I did end up leaving my last place only because the drive was to far. So that being said... I went in they gave me a tour it was my first appointment with them so we went through the whole first time patient process. It was so easy got a regular cleaning. Very nice staff and dentist, beautiful office, very painless. I loved it. But most of all they were not pushy at all! They didn't try to sell me extras which I truly appreciate. We were trying to find a clinic to treat an acute tooth pain. Called to Lakeside Dental among others. They refused to provide any estimate over phone, just dropped the line. We cannot lose time and a consultation appointment first just to finally hear that they price is probably inappropriate. All that with an acute tooth pain. Giving them one star for rudeness and cluelessness. Upd to the answer of the representative: please don't flatter yourself, that has nothing to do with moral or ethics. Actually quite the opposite. By hiding your prices upfront, you make it more difficult to compare the prices with your competitors and hope to talk over a patient to spend more as they have already invested in visiting you. Hope you still manage to attract any patients. read more

Shameful and deceptive policies and practices, which is a shame given the office staff and physicians are very friendly and professional. My insurance covers one annual dental cleaning, but Lakeside Dental recommends TWO. So because of this, they charge you out-of-pocket over $100 for their "hygiene program" which pays for the second, non-covered cleaning, which is required before you can even get the first cleaning your insurance even entitles you to. It's absolutely outrageous. I would have never agreed to set up my initial exam or cleaning with this establishment or wasted my time with them had I known. But, clearly this is how they paid for the marble countertop at the reception desk and multiple video game consoles for children in the reception area. Shameful. **UPDATE: Per their outrageous response below, they'd rather patients who can only get one cleaning per insurance, simply NOT get ANY cleanings at all- per their "research". Incredible. I've really enjoyed this dentist for the last couple of years we went to them. It was unfortunate when the original dentist, that treated my older son when he fell and hit his front teeth, left but Dr. Garrett is polite and professional. Dr. P. is kind but I felt a little attacked when I explained I had some tooth sensitivity. He blamed it on my lack of fluoride use but didn't even consider I just got done having a baby which can wreak havoc on your teeth anyway and none of us had cavities. It was a little off putting but I'm hoping we can continue an amicable environment at our future appointments. Candy, one of the hygienist, really stands out with her bubbly and fun personality. She also provided advice to maintain teeth health - instead or berating us - when we opted out of the fluoride option. The front girls are always helpful and kind too. The office is always clean as well which is a plus. They do have a hygiene program which almost locks you into having an appointment every 6 months regardless if your insurance covers it and paying upfront at time of scheduling which is new and kind of upsetting. I understand their reasonings. I'd love to be seen every six months but just like I'd love to go on vacation more than once a year, it really just comes down to my ability to pay. I'm hoping it'll continue to work out for me and my family though. read more

I scheduled an emergency appointment for an extraction a week prior to the visit. I was there for over an hour when the dentist finally came in to tell me there wasn't enough time to do the treatment. They didn't offer anything for temporary pain relief and they next appointment they had available for the extraction was two weeks out! I don't recommend this office to anyone. read more
