We wanted to rent two bicycles to ride to Kendal, and since we were staying in Bolton-le-Sands we picked this shop. We arrived at ten and both the owner and his wife were nothing but lovely. They got us kitted out with two sturdy bikes, two helmets, and two locks for only twenty pounds total. Considering that the amusement arcade in Morecambe charges twenty pounds per bike this was an amazing deal. We had a very long trip and had to walk several hills, but at the top of each we were surrounded by the breathtaking scenary of the near-south-lakes. We arrived in Kendal after three hours, enjoyed a nice lunch at Farrer's, and had a long trip back via national route six. I called because it looked like we wouldn't make it back in time and the owner let us bring the bikes back in the morning. I will definitely hire bikes from here in the future, and I will always remember this trip. read more
