We were greeted by a bloke who seemed to not want to be there when we started asking questions. The bikes all have prices but are not actually the price for the spec... They all have 'from' prices which isn't really helpful. For me I would like to know how much something is without having to keep asking. Shame really as the online service is so good.

They said the bikes would be ready the day after and they`d phone - they didn`t, we chased and they were eventually ready about 4 working days later. we picked the bikes up and the front brakes on my bike were tightened too tight and were "grabbing" on the wheel and there is also a ticking sound which wasn`t there before. The gears on my wife's bike were tight to engage and a couple wouldn`t engage at all. In all, they were in better condition when they went in than when they came out! To be honest, we didn`t take them back as we weren`t confident that they would have fixed them.

A wide range of new bikes for all the family, and bike repairs too, plus all the peripherals you might want for your bike, such as lights, bells, bags. Bikes can be put away for christmas, and they are extremely good value. The only drawback is that because they are often so busy walk in repairs arent always possible, and appointments have to be made.

It is located at the back of Brimlow's Garage in Poulton. Really worth seeking out and paying a visit. We wanted to rent two bicycles to ride to Kendal, and since we were staying in Bolton-le-Sands we…read morepicked this shop. We arrived at ten and both the owner and his wife were nothing but lovely. They got us kitted out with two sturdy bikes, two helmets, and two locks for only twenty pounds total. Considering that the amusement arcade in Morecambe charges twenty pounds per bike this was an amazing deal. We had a very long trip and had to walk several hills, but at the top of each we were surrounded by the breathtaking scenary of the near-south-lakes. We arrived in Kendal after three hours, enjoyed a nice lunch at Farrer's, and had a long trip back via national route six. I called because it looked like we wouldn't make it back in time and the owner let us bring the bikes back in the morning. I will definitely hire bikes from here in the future, and I will always remember this trip.

Its much the same as any other Millets now in that its gone too commercial by trying to please…read moreeveryone. The equipment they now keep is too mainstream and more suited to festivals than mountain climbers or hill walkers. They don't keep rope anymore and instead tried to sell me a hill walking stick with a spike on the end. Sorry but I wanted rope. Thenstaff are pretty useless and couldn't answer even the most basic of question. They didn't even know exactly what they had in stock. Much better going to the Outdoor store a few streets back in Blackpool, they know their stuff and are more specialised.
