Regarding the paperwork, we had a few anxious moments when we couldn't get some questions answered, but everything was under control and in the end, so smooth getting on the water. I would highly recommend Bud Boat over the larger boat yards who were a little uppity when dealing with our questions.

Boat was brought in to Ossipee Lake Marina for a summer tuneup before the start of the season. I…read morecalled to make sure it was ready to be picked up. I was told it was all set. When I arrived, everyone seemed to be on their lunch break and annoyed by the "interruption" of my visit. They quickly had me sign the receipt and sent me on my way with my boat. They failed to mention that they did not put the BATTERY back in the boat. (Not sure how they tested it after the tuneup if they never put the battery back in the boat). Anyway, it was not until the boat was off of the trailer, and sitting at the boat launch dock trying to turn the thing on (on a lake that was 30 minutes away from the Marina) that I noticed they failed to put the battery back in the boat. When a call was placed to ask that they rectify the situation, I was told that no one was available to bring the battery to us, and that we would have to come down and pick it up. The owner would not speak to me because he was too busy "showing a boat". Seeing that it was 4th of July weekend and one hour had already been wasted waiting for calls back from the marina, we pushed the battery-less boat back onto the trailer... a very aggravating inconvenience.... and headed down to the marina. The owner then called us back as we were en route and instead of starting off with an apology, he said that he wasn't going to listen to me yell at him. Not the best way to handle an aggravated customer before even giving them the chance to speak. He also told me that the paper work I signed said that the battery was still charging and I should have checked it before I drove off with the boat. SERIOUSLY??? I'm sorry, but please forgive me for assuming that when someone tells me the boat is "ready", it means that the battery is back in place and connected. He also was stupid enough to tell me that the battery in the boat was old and it was on its last leg. I told him that we had another problem, because I purchased the battery FROM HIM last year. When we arrived, the owner (who was visibly annoyed) walked us right over to our charging battery and pointed at it, saying nothing. I looked at him and said... "Yes?" He said "We don't sell this battery so you didn't purchase it here." This was VERY interesting to find out, seeing that I said "hello" to the gentleman (Tim) who had installed it for me last year at that marina. When I asked to see a copy of that receipt, (because there were clearly even more issues with his operation than I previously thought) he quickly said that all of last year's receipts were at home. So I'm still left here wondering whose "old battery" he sold to me last year, if they do not carry or sell the type that he put in my boat.

No moose were spotted at all even after a desperate mosquito infested walk through the woods (yes, we had bug spray but it didn't make a difference). We were told "plan B" was to drive up and down the same highway at midnight to see if the moose were out. This was a surprise for my husbands birthday, It was a surprise for both of us! This was a complete waste of time and money.

When we reached Lake Ossipee the wind was very strong which made the lake very choppy and her lead was so assuring in the challenge that lay ahead of us - she was awesome and we made it to the other side of the lake without any issues whatsoever. Do not use this company. This company will not let you cancel or move your reservation if the…read morereservation is within 14 days. Weather reports are only 10 days out, so you get totally screwed if it rains. Even if there's lightning, this company will not let you move your reservation. I could understand if you canceled or moved and they were left with an unreserved boat that could have been reserved by someone else, but boats will not rent in the rain, so they are just using the weather as a means to screw you and profit in the mean time. Use Winnie Marine instead. They cost a bit more, but they'll let you cancel your reservation on the day of if it's raining. No contest in terms of service.

Three Medium coffees, 3 muffins & a NY post only cost about 9.00 all together the paper being the most $2.00 I couldn't believe the more then reasonable prices! Loved having small talk with the locals in the back while preparing my coffee. I went back a 3rd time that day to get more supplies. They pretty much carry anything you need. Fresh food to order, help yourself for purchase pastries and muffins. Also Groceries, and whatever else you may need. My elderly parents also called when they got home to say they stopped their on their way home and the more then helpful clerk helped my dad bring out his coffee to the truck along with his change.
