The academics are top-notch and the athletics and extra-curricular offerings are all that you would get from a larger school, but with more opportunity given the smaller size. My daughter has experienced similar bullying from white students as well. The root of the problem at Hopewell seems to be an entitlement issue, where some children are raised to believe they are above others. I have trained my daughter to stand her ground. She is instructed to meet public insults with an equal response and to defend herself physically to the highest degree if anyone touches her. Respect is earned, and we will no longer tolerate 'royal' treatment at her expense.
