One of the ladies is completely rude and very condescending every time I've gone there. She even laughed at me one time and made fun of me in front of the other customers because I said I couldn't believe my 7 year old child's teeth that they removed had the entire root attached. She said it's always like that. I said well I have 5 children and I've never seen a whole giant root when any of them have lost a tooth. When I was there last week she kept calling me honey and talking down to me. I said, "I don't understand why you are talking to me with this tone." She claimed that my 6 year old daughter had a cavity that I never got taken care of. I'm like what do you mean, I was here for our last appointment and I was told she needed two teeth fixed so here we are. She said last year you were here and she wouldn't open her mouth to get her cavity fixed. I said no, she wouldn't cooperate that day for a cleaning. She said well she needs 3 teeth fixed, and honey we can't do all that today. I said okay, well I wasn't told that, I thought she was getting the two teeth fixed today that I was told about. She said my daughter needs two root canals with silver caps, and one tooth capped in the front. My daughter doesn't even have any teeth pain, but she needs root canals?! Sounds strange. The lady said to me, "If you come with your daughter and she doesn't open her mouth and do what we say then we can't fix her teeth next time. I said well do 6 year olds usually listen and cooperate for you? She said I don't know. She said that my daughter would be getting numbed with a needle in her gums, and I doubt that could happen without her completely freaking out. Same with my 8 year old son. They scheduled him for surgery at the Dyer hospital for next week; they said he needs 4 root canals done with silver caps and multiple fillings, but she can't tell me how many. My son doesn't even have any tooth pain. They have already put multiple silver caps on his teeth at a prior hospital visit 4 years ago. I decided to cancel their appointments and get a second opinion and never return. I've always not liked going there because of the terribly rude staff, but Dr. Tyree has done such good work on my son's front teeth that were capped and that's why I continued to come. Dr. Tyree did a beautiful job on my son's front teeth with white caps when no other dentist was willing to do it because they said he didn't have enough of the teeth left to work with. A few days ago he did an excellent job on my daughter's front tooth with a white cap; her tooth had been chipped so he made it whole again. I asked if my children could get white caps on the back teeth instead of silver and she said no because they would have to be specially made and would cost $1500 per tooth. I feel like maybe they do excessive procedures that aren't necessary, and make separate appointments to get more money from the insurance. I drive an hour to get there so that isn't convenient for me, especially since the tooth that they fixed on my daughter only took 5 minutes, so why couldn't they just fix the other two at the same time. I know they had the time because they had a cancellation. Also they will not let the parent go back with the child ever. I've seen at least four parents get into arguments with them about that and storm out very mad without their child being seen. Any other dentist I've gone to with my five children have always let me go back with them. I'm just done with them.

He denies the procedure had anything to do with what had happened. The following week one of his freshly placed fillings fell out, my child had to go back and have that replaced. 6 months later my child is still dealing with the aftermath of his shotty work. We're having his work corrected by another dentist. Would never recommend this Dr. Tyree to anyone. My child should have never had to have additional traumatizing work to correct his mistakes.

I went in to fix a small chipped filling and had no pain or sensitivity at that time. After the filling was replaced, I started having pain when chewing. I returned for bite adjustments, but the pain continued. I was then advised to get an onlay. Looking back, I wish I had gotten a second opinion at that point, but I trusted the recommendation and proceeded. After the onlay, my symptoms became significantly worse, including cold sensitivity, severe pain when chewing, and jaw pain that lasted for over a month. I ultimately sought a second opinion and was told I now need a root canal, and that the work was very close to the nerve and became inflamed. When I contacted the clinic to discuss my experience, I was told the issue may be related to pulp stones. This was frustrating to hear only after going through multiple treatments on the same tooth within a few months. This possibility was not raised earlier, despite several visits and X-rays, and the tooth had no prior nerve issues. I was also very disappointed with the billing. I was initially quoted around $475 after insurance for the onlay, but my total out-of-pocket ended up being $1,050. I was told this was due to insurance paying less than expected, even though the clinic is in-network with my insurance. A difference of this size is not what I would expect from an in-network estimate. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I do not recommend coming here for dental care and would not trust their estimates.

I have received no communication back about scheduling appointments. They keep saying they'll call me back once they talk to the doctor, yet never do. When I call to check in, it always seems like a bother and the reason I wait on a call back is because they say I "missed an appointment" in the past (don't recall), but I believe it's personal. A family friend we referred to got a lawyer involved for an abuse case against them. I took 5 of my children here and they are not understanding of life! To not give any warning of being dropped at the time of us going there, then threatened to be dropped when I simply call to schedule, is very confusing. I wanted to stay with this office purely to keep my children with the same dentist since they were toddlers but there have been quite a few red flags here. My son overheard the ladies in the back call a little girl a "B****"!! I was shocked and apologized to my son for having to hear that. Mind you, adults are not allowed to go back with their children.. My youngest son was terrified of going back to the dentist.. He came out with red marks and bruises all over his hands and arms. When his father called to question it, they said they strapped him down with velcro (without our consent). Our son was terrified from their aggressive actions and though I regret it.. We still continued with their office and made excuses for them assuming it was our sons adhd. We assumed it was unintentional and asked next time if our child is scared, to go get one of us so we can calm their nerves instead of forcefully strapping them down. Next, a family friend took their child, paid thousands of dollars out of pocket, just for the same thing to happen to her child. Only worse! The pictures of abuse are so frightening. He had burns on his mouth and hands!! It was before his 5th birthday so now all his pictures from his party showcase this horrific memory. We had endless questions from our family. I will not bother calling back, but now I've decided to share our unfortunate truth. I was going to keep it to myself since we've had such a long relationship, but it seems like the right thing to do is to inform on what really goes on behind the scenes. I believe not every child is treated the same, there's favoritism. We will find a safe dentist who truly cares about the wellbeing of their patients.

I communicates that she has issues with strangers and cries easily with them when making the appearance. I was trying to talk to her and calm her and she spoke loudly and sternly, saying, "Come on, get in the chair!" My daughter began crying even more and held on to me tighter. I picked her up and set her in the chair. While I continued to speak calmly to my daughter she became impatient and said, "are we done here?" Oh, I forgot the first part. When she walked in the room her first thing she said was that my daughter has eight cavities and that they need to be taken care of so that the school doesn't call child services on me. Now I have take my daughter to the dentist at least twice a year since she was two. They never told me she had a cavity until a couple is weeks ago and I made an appointment at this office because they specialize in pediatric dentistry and they are close to our home. It was a shock she would say something like that. I told her that her last dentist let her sit on my lap in the chair while they looked at her teeth. I thought that might help her crying again. She responded with she is too old for that now. That is when she grabbed her arm and tried to pull her and put her into the chair. I asked her not to do that as my daughter is scared and it is not helping the situation. My daughter just cried louder and held me tighter when she did that. I was just incredibly shocked by the impatient, uncaring, and abrasive manner of a dentist who has worked with children for years.

I had to take her to an urgent dental place that was not in network with her insurance. they once again did X-rays and informed me that she had a huge abscess!!!! and she had to have 2 of her teeth removed. the dentist at this new facility told me that they don't understand how it could of gotten missed on an X-ray. I paid $400 for this treatment!!! I called and spoke with the office manager who one did not even apologize for their mistake and two said that they took only X-rays of the LOWER TEETH. But the doctor looked completely in her mouth at her teeth and didn't see the hole in the tooth. unbelievable!! I will never ever go back.
