When my husband called the insurance company, the woman he spoke to said the office had not called or put in for a pre-authorization. According to the insurance company, the surgery should be almost completely covered. It seems to me that their business strategy is to wait until a few days before this major surgery to call the patient to discuss financing options. They leave the patient to assume the office is working in the patient's best interest and have contacted the insurance company for authorization. If you plan to use this office, contact your insurance company first.

That would amount to 230 one-hundred-dollar bills, which raises an obvious question as to why cash is preferred.

Doc does great work - fillings, fixing cracked teeth, crowns - you name it. Located in a small, clean office in Orland Park they have a super nice staff. His wife, Joanne, is the office manager & handles all the paperwork/biling, etc. I love this place. He's gentle & considerate when doing work. They always have been able to get myself or wife in if there's a dental emergency as well. You always hear about the horror stories of dentists charging for work not performed or doing work (cavities, crowns, root canals) that aren't needed.
