Needless to say I was not going to be having my treatment with them. During my initial consult with Dr. Meehan, I had the same request and shared the same desire and he totally understood and so here I am 14 months into treatment. I absolutely adore everyone at the practice. They are professional but very friendly :) and I truly look forward to coming to my appointments . It was very painful and traumatic and I never forgot that experience. I have been going to Dr. Tentler at Southwest Dental and cannot say enough good things about him. He is gentle, kind and above everything else he listens to his patients. I have met and been treated by Dr Ryan Bales at Southwest Dental as well. From the minute you are greeted at the front desk upon arrival, you are treated with dignity, respect and kindness. The doctor had said he hadn't filled front teeth since dental school and was trying to push it off like he didn't know how to do it, so he made me feel forced to crown the front teeth. I also clarified that Medicaid DOES cover white resin filling, since I called insurance to confirm. He said "yes" and my son came back to me filled with silver teeth. There are so many different people working there that no one has the right answers and giving false information. They also had given my son an appointment for months away to go under anesthesia and when I called to say he was having pain the appointment coordinator NEVER called back to try to schedule something sooner. I had to call the office at a different location to get any answers. My son's smile now looks terrible and my concerns were taken lightly and disregarded during clarification. When walking into the office it's instantly clear that it's just a factory line. Children sprawled out all over the floor after oral medication and employees flooding over to throw you in and out. The quality of care for children is terrible. No consistency with doctors or staff and that's why my sons needed anesthesia, it made him a nervous reck to be pack in a small space with tons of other children and staff members everywhere with no consistency on who was caring for him. If you want low quality care, this is the place for you.

The dental assistants have changed and not for the better. 1 wants to lecture me on my teeth, brushing habits and the other can't pronounce my name and blames it on her ethnicity, huh? The dentist comes in for a minute and doesn't seem friendly or concerned that I was even there. Those are valid reasons to move on then to continue to patronize this place. She is not a pediatric dentist, but she is great with children. My daughter loved her so much as we were leaving she said, "I can't wait to go back!" Literally. We were looking for a dentist for a second opinion since the pediatric dentist I had gone to previously said my four year old daughter had two cavities, and that to fill them I would not be able to go back in the room with her, and that they would need to strap her down (something I was not going to allow to happen to my child). We went to see Dr. Mary Beth yesterday, and she was wonderful. She talked to my daughter and made her feel completely comfortable, then she explained everything she was going to do in a very calm way. She said that she only had one small cavity, and was able to fill it without using Novocain (so no shot). I'm so glad we went there. I was practically having a panic attack when picturing a dentist strapping my daughter down and drilling in her mouth. Everything was pleasant and presented in a non-scary way with Dr. Mary Beth.

The confirmation system is the main issue: if you don't confirm within their text window (for context; I was already having phone issues and not receiving some texts a few weeks ago) then you get a follow-up message giving you only one hour before your appointment is canceled. That's unrealistic for people who work and can't always get to their phone right away. I called back during my lunch break three minutes after the cancellation text came in and was told my appointment had already been given away. In three minutes? That doesn't make sense. Then suddenly I was told I could have my appointment back after I complained. How can it be given away and then magically available again? Either I was misled, or the scheduling process is completely disorganized. On top of that, the communication was unprofessional. Being told "that was my bad" & with an attitude the whole time we spoke by someone in management is unacceptable in a medical office. It's disappointing because the dentist themselves is great, but the front office experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I strongly suggest better training in professional communication or hiring staff who understand how to speak to patients respectfully.

The front desk staff were very professional and helpful. I saw Dr. Desai and she was amazing. She took the time to explain everything that she was doing. I was able to schedule my cleaning with Laurie on the same day. She was great as well. I even received a tour of the office as a new patient. As someone who is anxious about going to the dentist, I would highly recommend North Creek Dental.
