I decided i was tired of driving and decided to spend the night here. While scrolling through Yelp, i came across Grenada lake so I drove through Grenada Lakes early this morning. There are numerous day use turn ins where you can grill and picnic. Almost all have a view of the lake. A couple of them also have playgrounds for the kids. There's a relatively large playground structure near the visitors center. The lake was high so the beach are was closed but it looks like a nice area to swim. I saw deer at many of my stops and heard an abundance of birds chirping. I will be back when I have more time to spend here.

We'd have nice visits and meals cooked on the grill. I'd have never known about this place, otherwise. A former colleague of mine would also regularly have family reunions here. I would hesitate to camp here due to the preponderance of fire ant hills located all over the campground. Hopefully, that's improved, but sleeping on the ground is something that I'm too old for anymore.

Even though pretty much every house around the lake owns their own boat, the lake is never crowded except for the 4th of July. They have a wonderful fireworks display on the 4th of July. They also have floating music parties with live musicians and DJ's. It is also great for fishing. If you know someone that lives in this area, you should definitely check this lake out.

People are complaining about the long drive thru or not seeing animals? Well it's not a zoo. It's more of a natural habitat for them. And it was awesome. It's worth doing at least once. We will definitely go back. The zebras and giraffes were my favorite. You can also drive thru as many times as you want so keep that in mind when considering the price. And it's not busy or packed at all. You can take your time.

It should be a $20 or $30 per carload! People would be more likely to visit and visit regularly if it were per car. I went with 4 of my friends and we all purchased tickets and food for the animals and it was over $100! I would love for my son and daughter and grandson to visit but there is no way I can afford to pay $100 for something like this, especially on a regular basis. Does anyone else agree with me? Even at Shelby Farms, when they have drive through events, they only charge $20 per car to drive through. Your business is hurting itself and the people that should be able to visit but can't.

Olive Branch Park is a wonderful place, and we are lucky it to have in our fair little town…read more I have spent a ton of time here over the past twenty years. From park slides and swing days with the kids when they were little, to adventures in the wooded trail in the hidden areas, softball games, Pokemon Go days, to parades, 4th of July celebrations, the list goes on and on. I've probably walked 500 miles or more on these trails. The trails around the park are fantastic. You meet so many great people on any trek around the park. They keep the ponds stocked well with fish and there is a dock that takes you out to the middle of the largest pond. Please pay attention to the catch limits though. There is a dog park, many covered pavilions, grills to use for cooking, a very cool, all inclusive playground for the kids, and tons of baseball fields. They do Christmas lights around the Holidays that are pretty. The police presence is always pretty high. There is usually a cop in the park at all times and they do not play if you step out of line here. I dig that. We are very lucky to have this safe space for all families to visit and have fun.
