Not nearly as good as it used to be. But it's okay as far as the food goes. It's sort of expensive for what you get though

Great food. Great selection and fair prices. Get the waffle fries, chicken fried steak, or a burger.

We have stopped in twice on our way through town…read more From the outside it doesn't look like much but the inside is very nice. Several seating options from sitting at the large bar, high tops, low tops and a community high top bar. They have a game area with a pool table and a pull tab machine. As far as the food, we ordered the fried pickle spears which are crispy and tasty. The chicken wrap is delicious with some chipotle mayo. My husband said it is one of the best wraps he has eaten. The Rueben was also delicious. The flavor was right on. The burger is a 1/3 pound burger so it is thin like a thawed out frozen patty and not very juicy. It wasn't bad, just not what I would expect from a place like this. I wouldn't order this again. Fries and tots were hot, crispy and flavorful. Now, the staff has been very friendly both times we stopped in. My two cents, two people behind the bar plus the cook is not enough. We noticed they were running around getting orders mixed up, total confusion, people waiting in their checks for a while. They need more staff to help with a busy bar. We liked 7 Brothers and will stop in again.

Now it is a bar; but there is plenty of seating away from the bar. And plenty of room to accommodate families of any size. Great place to meet up for apps or a meal and hang out. The food is great. Always fresh, hot and great tasting. The Friday Fish Fry is the best in area (in my opinion!). Threw different order size options. And it comes with soup and salad bar. Not a big salad bar, but it's fresh and quality ingredients. Soups have always been good too. You really should check this place out!!!! On a Friday if you can!

A unique experience located in an intimate space. Amery Ale Works is not your typical brewery. It's…read morethe groundskeeping that makes this place shine. In the summer months, make sure you check out the exterior patio space which includes luscious green grass, yard games, a gazebo, fire pit, large benches, adirondack chairs and more. Offering wood fire pizzas, varying specials such as soups and sandwiches, along with kombucha on tap and other drinks, makes this a must stop. The cherry on top? Dogs are encouraged! We were fortunate enough to spend my grandpa's 103rd birthday here and enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly patrons and staff members. I'd like to thank the staff for allowing us to place our own tablecloth down and be so open to us serving cake to those near us. What a lovely evening we had! Note: check out the website for specialty classes such as yoga, art, and music. Some are located in the upstairs loft area while others, such as music, are outdoors. You could also use this as a small wedding venue!

Stop #54 on our Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour…read more I'm getting some side-eye from the hubs on giving Amery 3 stars &, believe me, i wish i could justify a higher rating. The signage is great & the property is fantastic. Staff are welcoming, energetic and plentiful. There are a variety of products available for purchase, such as soap made from the beer... pretty cool. Add in the very reasonable pricing. We had 2 pints and pretzel bites for $10 after our discount. So, the 3 stars come down to a brewery is only as good as its beer. While they do have some decent guest taps, the in-house brews are lacking. Finish on the summer wheat was like alka seltzer, and the porter was only a touch better. Worth a visit? Absolutely! Though I'd likely choose a guest tap offering instead

A friend recommended Escape on 2nd Ave while we were staying nearby on vacation…read more It is a tiny pub but plenty of seating at the bar, small tables and two larger tables for groups. First thing I noticed was several old fashioned games and puzzles on the tables and shelves available to patrons. There is also a pool table. Definitely a locals spot. We elected to sit at the bar which was made up of old crates. Very clever. Our bartender was excellent and super friendly. I forgot to write down his name but he spent a good amount of time reviewing the drink and food menu with us. We were never left waiting. We started with Bloody Mary's as they had several on the menu so definitely a specialty. They were delicious. The wine choices are minimal but they have a variety of wine available from a nearby winery called Dragonfly. I think that it is great they support a local winery by serving their wine. They do not have beer on draft, only bottles. We were craving burgers and they had several interesting burgers to choose from. I chose the Escape burger with bacon, smoked Gouda, sautéed onions and hibachi sauce. Absolutely delicious and cooked to order. My husband ordered the Shanghai Nights burger with Korean sauce, Asian Slaw and hibachi sauce. He enjoyed his burger as well. Escape is proud they do not use a fryer in the restaurant so they serve the burgers with chips and a pickle spear. The menu is small but super eclectic! So interesting! They have items you definitely don't see on pub menus such as BibimBop, Coconut chicken curry, Bain Mi, Lamb or beef gyros, Shrimp Scampi, Ribeye steak and more. I can't wait to come back and try some of these menu items. If you are traveling near Reeve, WI. Stop in to Escape on 2nd Ave and support this pub!

We came to Escape on 2nd while at a friend's cabin, and it's a great little spot!…read more Looking like a small cabin on the side of the road, this joint definitely has a lot of character. On the inside are tons of random signs - from alcohol references to just the most random sayings you can find. We also loved the stocked and decorated bar to add to the ambiance. The bartender was friendly and helpful, and the food was quick! It was easy to order at the bar even though we were sitting at a table. One thing to note is Escape doesn't have a deep fryer! So no fries or cheese curds on this bar menu. It definitely sets this place apart from others in the area. We started with a round of their Bloody Marys - which is Escape's specialty! I loved that there were so many to choose from with different flavors and levels of heat. The bartender also let us sample them before ordering, which was really helpful. My table was pretty split ordering a few of the "kickle", a few of the "hot lips" and a "red neck juice" - unfortunately none of our group ordered the "escape bloody", but hopefully we will be back to try it! I had the "reck neck juice" and it was a delicious classic bloody with a little bit of a kick and a thick & chunky consistency. I loved it! Especially the Gouda and salami on top. For appetizers we ordered the Bavarian Pretzels & Parmesan Crusted Cauliflower. The pretzels were nothing out of the ordinary, but the beer cheese with them was delicious! I also really enjoyed the cheesey cauliflower, soft naan and garlic butter - a more unique offering at a bar like this. For food I just had a cheeseburger with grilled onions. It came with a side of chips, but I didn't eat many as they just came out of a bag and weren't homemade. The cheeseburger was delicious and fresh! Nothing crazy, but just a really good burger. Sets itself apart since it didn't have the deep-fried, greasy feeling. Overall, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again to try more bloodies and more from the menu!
