I first learned about Dr. Rodriguez in an online support group for parents of children with…read moreclubfoot. I was looking for a doctor trained in the Ponseti method of clubfoot treatment to work with my year-and-a-half-old son with neglected clubfoot who we were in the process of adopting. When Dr. Morcuende, the world's foremost expert on clubfoot, gave Dr. Rodriguez his recommendation, I decided to contact her about working with my son. Within an hour of sending her an email inquiry, she called me on the phone. During that initial conversation, she spent nearly an hour on the phone with me and gave me her personal cell phone number to call with any questions. (I assure you there are not many doctors who will do that!) Although I also consulted with a very respected doctor who was closer to our home, I never regretted the decision to take my son to Dr. Rodriguez due to her passion for clubfoot, extensive knowledge of and adherence to the Ponseti protocol, and her wonderful and open personality. I learned so much about the proper treatment of clubfoot through her patient guidance. Dr. Rodriguez's passion for working with clubfoot kids was so obvious in all of her interactions with me and my son. She is friendly, open, and caring. She always took her time with us, and we never felt rushed during any of our casting or follow up appointments. When I have had questions or concerns during the process, I have simply emailed or called her and I always receive a quick response. She has even been willing to talk to me on the phone in the evenings and weekends. Having now known Dr. Rodriguez for several years, I know that she is extremely committed to her patients and to the care of children with clubfoot. She is kind. She is ethical. She is humble. And she puts the needs of her patients first. I am so thankful we chose Dr. Rodriguez to treat our son's clubfoot.

The other places had the usual issues of not enough staff, not enough personal attention and way too much money for what my mother was getting....I cannot say enough about the caring and competent attention my mom got here...the change from big corporations running assisted living to the personal touch was huge. The caregivers are wonderful and right there to provide individual attention...the owners go out of their way to resolve and respond to any needs and anything needed to make life better for the clients....I cannot say enough about this home and would gladly recommend it.

I came in with a very complex shoulder injury that several other doctors were unable to diagnose or improve. Jessica is outstanding! First, Jessica is a licensed and…read morecertified phlebotomist. This was of utmost importance to me. She came to my home for a blood draw and made the entire experience smooth, quick, and stress-free. She was right on time, extremely professional, and incredibly gentle--found the vein on the first try and I barely felt a thing. Jessica has a warm, calming presence and explained everything clearly. I really appreciated how efficient and kind she was throughout the process. No more struggling to get a timely appointment at Quest or LabCorp and sitting in their waiting rooms. I will be using Jessica for all future blood draws!

Would give ZERO stars if Yelp allowed it…read more Booked a mobile blood draw in advance. She confirmed TWO HOURS before the appointment (photo attached), I replied that we were all set--and then she pulled a Houdini. Except Houdini usually showed up before he disappeared. No show. Two unanswered texts. Three unanswered calls. And still--not a text, call, apology, smoke signal... nothing. Apparently I unknowingly booked the premium disappearing-act package. I took time off work and had a 3 PM deadline to overnight the bloodwork, so her vanishing act left me scrambling and completely screwed up my afternoon. I understand emergencies happen. Although apparently "I need to get my nails done today" qualifies as an emergency serious enough to ghost a client. And obviously sending a 10-second cancellation text would've been reckless--can't risk smudging the polish. Priorities. Thankfully, I found another mobile phlebotomist who accomplished what apparently requires supernatural abilities: she answered her phone AND showed up--with less than 30 minutes' notice. Apparently reliability isn't a superpower after all--it just requires basic professionalism. And Houdini? Still missing. No apology, no explanation, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Luckily, that's one disappearing act I'm perfectly happy never seeing the encore to. Apparently the "mobile" part of mobile phlebotomy means you'll be the one running all over town trying to find someone who actually shows up. If you're looking for reliability, communication, or basic common courtesy, I'd suggest making all three disappear from your expectations before booking with OC Coastal Mobile Phlebotomy. I ended up using Single Poke, and the difference was almost comical. They answered, communicated, and actually showed up--with less than 30 minutes' notice. There's probably a reason they have 35 five-star reviews. Turns out the real magic trick isn't disappearing--it's actually showing up for the appointment you confirmed.

No one called me to inform me of my X-ray results. I spent almost an entire week going without knowing that my finger was actually broken badly. Severe pain made me follow up with the X ray office and I found out they informed dr Henry days ago but he didn't even bother to read the report and call me. During that week, I called the office multiple times trying to get an answer. I was repeatedly put on hold for over 20 min, told the staff was on a lunch or break, or told someone would get back to me--but I did not receive the follow-up I was waiting for. Eventually, I had to drive all the way from Newport Beach to Laguna Hills today and physically return to the office just to get an answer about my X-ray. Even after arriving, I had to wait another 20 min again before finally speaking with the doctor. when an X-ray shows a fracture, I believe notifying the patient promptly should be a priority. Finding out almost a week later that I had been walking around and using my hand with a broken finger was extremely upsetting. Based on my personal experience, this did not feel like "urgent care." The lack of communication and follow-up was unacceptable to me, and I would not return or recommend this office to others who need timely urgent medical care.
