I chose to proceed with local anesthesia and opted out of the Exparel injection at the end of the surgery. I scheduled my surgery for two weeks later and received thorough instructions beforehand. On the day of the procedure, it lasted about 30 minutes; one wisdom tooth was more complex and took a bit longer. The recovery was smooth, with no significant pain or swelling, thanks to careful adherence to the medication schedule. Five days post-surgery, I noticed only a small hematoma in a facial area. I am very grateful to Dr. Mahmood, the assistants, and the entire staff for their excellent care and support throughout this process.

The office is very COVID safe: not allowing guests in waiting rooms, monitoring temperatures, staff wearing face shields. For the procedure, I chose to go under and it was a very quick procedure (less than an hour). I only had to clamp down on the gauze for 1 hour afterwards and the bleeding disappeared. I didn't have any pain afterwards and didnt need any pain medication! I was back to eating solid food within 5 days. The office provides you with a specific syringe that you can spray into the holes left behind by the teeth to clean out any food debris stuck in the holes which was very helpful! The staff also call on you to check up and are very responsive to any questions. Dr. Mahmood is also very personable. Honestly, the most seamless experience ever, I couldn't rate any higher.

The tooth set at an awkward angle but I was so happy to get it restored I was charge $125.00 and was told it could last forever. It failed that night and the screw broke again. I returned a week later to a new technician. She seemed very niveous and she tried to restore it. Same problem with the angle. After about an hour this Dr. Vera stepped and told me if I really wanted to fix it there would be a cost of $3000.00. They presented me with a bill and I left explaining I would have to think about that. No warranty cause they said at that time Dr. Hanna had retired and Dr. V they call him now owned the practice. I have been fighting to get my medical records released to me and given to my new dentist but many emails and phone calls and no records. I will have to go the State Board way and have a missing tooth for a long time. The new dentist needs the size of the precise screw dimensions to replace the tooth.

However, after meeting Dr. Lopez and talking to him he put all my concerns to rest. His bedside manners are second to none. After my consolidation, the ladies in the office called before my surgery to check in with me, to review my procedure again and make sure I didn't have any additional questions. The day of the surgery Dr. Lopez did everything he could to make sure I was comfortable. He came out behind the receptionist desk when I was in the waiting room and asked if I was ready and starting making jokes. He knew that I was terrified of needles like a little kid so he made me completely forget about the needle. I mentioned that laying back helps me when it comes to needles, so before he started the IV he reclined my seat all the way back in a full relax mood, he had one of his assistants hold my hand. (Don't laugh - I have a sever issue with needles) After the surgery no pain, no extra bleeding. I seriously was up Friday like nothing had happen - other then a small amount of swelling. My only suggestion is never ask someone who had their wisdom teeth pulled 30 years ago about the process, they will all give you horror stories.

Just, "sign her in and pay." No care, no compassion -- just cash. My mother has two abscessed teeth that desperately need to be removed. Her dentist even said she should never have been sent home from the ER. But apparently, Dr. Dieter J. Moya and Dr. Blake D. Maida have a "standard policy" that even emergency, life-threatening situations must be paid in full before the patient is even allowed through the door. I asked multiple times if she could at least go to the back while I handled the payment -- they refused, every single time. They didn't offer to explain how long the procedure would take, where I should wait, or what to expect for recovery. I had to ask for every single detail. Then they told me I wasn't even allowed to leave the building! This staff and this office are cold, unprofessional, and completely heartless. The only thing they care about is money -- not patients, not compassion, not human decency. I wouldn't recommend these dental surgeons or this office to anyone -- not a person, not a pet, not even an insect. I genuinely hope they one day experience what it feels like to be in pain, scared, and treated like nothing more than a dollar sign. If you love your parents, children, friends, or anyone you care about -- do not bring them here. You'll regret it!!
