The staff provided educational videos about the procedure and conducted an exam to plan the best approach. Dr. Mahmood kindly explained each step of the process to ensure I understood everything. I chose to proceed with local anesthesia and opted out of the Exparel injection at the end of the surgery. I scheduled my surgery for two weeks later and received thorough instructions beforehand. On the day of the procedure, it lasted about 30 minutes; one wisdom tooth was more complex and took a bit longer. The recovery was smooth, with no significant pain or swelling, thanks to careful adherence to the medication schedule. Five days post-surgery, I noticed only a small hematoma in a facial area. I am very grateful to Dr. Mahmood, the assistants, and the entire staff for their excellent care and support throughout this process.

The office is very COVID safe: not allowing guests in waiting rooms, monitoring temperatures, staff wearing face shields. For the procedure, I chose to go under and it was a very quick procedure (less than an hour). I only had to clamp down on the gauze for 1 hour afterwards and the bleeding disappeared. I didn't have any pain afterwards and didnt need any pain medication! I was back to eating solid food within 5 days. The office provides you with a specific syringe that you can spray into the holes left behind by the teeth to clean out any food debris stuck in the holes which was very helpful! The staff also call on you to check up and are very responsive to any questions. Dr. Mahmood is also very personable. Honestly, the most seamless experience ever, I couldn't rate any higher.

After I recently complained of pain and after x-rays, my dentist referred me to Dr. Orfanos. The appointment was easy to make. I saw the doctor without any wait time. He recommended an extraction and then gave me time to ask as many questions as I needed. I left the office feeling like I was in good hands. He shares the office with two other professionals. The office is very professional and designed to move things along smoothly without frustration. There was always someone to answer the phone and provide information. The charges were broken down and provided in writing before the procedure. The day of the procedure, I arrived early but had to wait longer than what I had been told (not that much longer) because of an emergency. Even that was explained to me. The assistant who took me to the surgical room, was very personable, reassuring, and warm which is always important when having an invasive procedure. The tech who took the scan before the procedure and the anesthesiologist were more on task and seemed to know their craft which was reassuring in its own way. Overall, it seems that the office spends time and money on training their staff. Interestingly, the competence on the front end gave me confidence on the back end (the actual procedure). The pre and post op were explained in detail many times and I was also given written instructions. They require a support person to drive you there and back home and they were also given instructions. It makes sense to be repetitive to make sure the information is communicated especially when there is some stress involved in dealing with medical procedures. Overall, the experience involved less stress and pain than I thought, and I would highly recommend this doctor and practice.

I made an appointment to have it looked at and repaired and I was told when I arrived that a Dr. Vera would be my dentist. I was taken to a chair where the person who started with me was a technician named Miguel. He said that I he would do the repair and it was no problem. The tooth set at an awkward angle but I was so happy to get it restored I was charge $125.00 and was told it could last forever. It failed that night and the screw broke again. I returned a week later to a new technician. She seemed very niveous and she tried to restore it. Same problem with the angle. After about an hour this Dr. Vera stepped and told me if I really wanted to fix it there would be a cost of $3000.00. They presented me with a bill and I left explaining I would have to think about that. No warranty cause they said at that time Dr. Hanna had retired and Dr. V they call him now owned the practice. I have been fighting to get my medical records released to me and given to my new dentist but many emails and phone calls and no records. I will have to go the State Board way and have a missing tooth for a long time. The new dentist needs the size of the precise screw dimensions to replace the tooth.

Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. After my extractions, I spent well over a year attempting to obtain VA authorization for the next phase of treatment, including implants. During that time, there was little to no progress, and I repeatedly communicated with both the VA and the dental office trying to move the process forward. When the VA later requested billing records and began asking questions about charges and treatment details, I found myself caught in the middle between the VA and the dental office. I simply relayed questions and requests from the VA in an effort to get my treatment approved and completed. Instead of helping resolve the situation, communication from the office became increasingly difficult. I was ultimately told that the office could no longer discuss the matter with me because they believed I was accusing them of fraud, which was never my intention. My only goal was to obtain clarification requested by the VA so my treatment could continue. To make matters worse, when the VA attempted to move forward with authorization, I was reportedly characterized as a non-compliant patient who was refusing treatment protocols. This was shocking given the amount of time and effort I had spent trying to get the treatment completed. At no point was my goal to avoid treatment--I was actively trying to receive it. Nearly two years later, I am still dealing with the consequences of this situation and remain without the dental work that was supposed to be completed. I cannot recommend this office based on my experience. I believe patients deserve clear communication, transparency, and a genuine effort to resolve issues when they arise. For anyone who may have questions about this review, I want to be clear that every statement I made is based on documented communications and records. I have retained the email correspondence between myself, the VA, and the dental office, including communications regarding treatment authorization, billing questions, and the reasons given for discontinuing my care. This review is not based on assumptions, speculation, or hearsay. It reflects my personal experience and is supported by written documentation. I understand that others may have had different experiences, but everything I have shared here is factual and can be substantiated by the records in my possession. My goal is simply to share my experience so that others can make informed decisions.

But after meeting with Dr. Lopez, my deepest intuition told me he was the only one I would trust to help me out of my predicament. Due to my situation, there were many days of after-care which took place in the office. However, after meeting Dr. Lopez and talking to him he put all my concerns to rest. His bedside manners are second to none. After my consolidation, the ladies in the office called before my surgery to check in with me, to review my procedure again and make sure I didn't have any additional questions. The day of the surgery Dr. Lopez did everything he could to make sure I was comfortable. He came out behind the receptionist desk when I was in the waiting room and asked if I was ready and starting making jokes. He knew that I was terrified of needles like a little kid so he made me completely forget about the needle. I mentioned that laying back helps me when it comes to needles, so before he started the IV he reclined my seat all the way back in a full relax mood, he had one of his assistants hold my hand. (Don't laugh - I have a sever issue with needles) After the surgery no pain, no extra bleeding. I seriously was up Friday like nothing had happen - other then a small amount of swelling. My only suggestion is never ask someone who had their wisdom teeth pulled 30 years ago about the process, they will all give you horror stories.

They refused to even schedule her surgery after being referred here by her dentist until she paid $250 upfront. Then, when we got here, they wouldn't even take her to the back until the remaining $1,500 was paid -- not a single word of kindness, not even a simple "hello" or "good morning." Just, "sign her in and pay." No care, no compassion -- just cash. My mother has two abscessed teeth that desperately need to be removed. Her dentist even said she should never have been sent home from the ER. But apparently, Dr. Dieter J. Moya and Dr. Blake D. Maida have a "standard policy" that even emergency, life-threatening situations must be paid in full before the patient is even allowed through the door. I asked multiple times if she could at least go to the back while I handled the payment -- they refused, every single time. They didn't offer to explain how long the procedure would take, where I should wait, or what to expect for recovery. I had to ask for every single detail. Then they told me I wasn't even allowed to leave the building! This staff and this office are cold, unprofessional, and completely heartless. The only thing they care about is money -- not patients, not compassion, not human decency. I wouldn't recommend these dental surgeons or this office to anyone -- not a person, not a pet, not even an insect.
