So glad they decided to change the month of the fair to May from when it used to be in September! Yesterday it was sunny, but not too hot, with an occasional lovely breeze. By the time we left it was starting to get more crowded. If you get a chance to visit the LA County fair before the end of May, be sure to check out the Millard Sheets art building, which has a cool exhibit, and also a hands-on cardboard crafting room for kids and families alike. You can build your own miniature cardboard vehicle to race down the cardboard runway they have just outside of the art room. In the exhibit hall with the artwork of school children, the theme is agriculture and they have several fun interactive exhibits: a giant bubble making station, and remote controlled robotic vehicle that you can "drive" around, and some punching robots that you can fight against one another (it was down when we visited). Check it out! Highly recommended!

We didn't stay here for long and just enjoyed eating the foods they offered. We purchased the $5 Passport of Savings book which is a green booklet that has a bunch of coupons. Additionally, the booklet has coupons for 7/11 which is set to expire 12/31/26 as well as a free Admission Ticket (only valid Thursday-Friday and Memorial day). We used a couple of coupons such as: - MACPHERESONS ICE CREAM: BOGO ice cream cone ($8.50), this place is always part of the booklet deals and so WORTH IT! - BACKYARD BBQ VILLAGE (used 2 coupons): Free fries with purchase of turkey leg ($21.89) and 1 corn in a cup (worth $9.65 but $2 off coupon) / overall subtotal was $29.54, tax (10.5%) was $3.10 and overall total turned out to be $32.64) NOT IN PASSPORT TO SAVINGS BOOKLET - FOOD: - My boyfriend also bought nachos for $10. It also comes with a small plastic LA County Fair container as a souvenir but ended up throwing it away. - He also bought me corn in a cob which was super buttery. He said it was around $9 (insane, I know) NOT IN PASSPORT TO SAVINGS BOOKLET - DRINKS: - 1 space dust = $15.50 - 1 paloma = $12.50 SUBTOTAL = $28 TAX = $2.94 OVERALL TOTAL = $30.94 Overall it was a pretty warm day so make sure to always bring sunscreen and a hat just in case.

There's something for everyone: a giant pumpkin patch, gorgeous sunflower fields, a fun petting farm, and tons of great food and activities. The sunflower fields were one of my favorite part -- absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos. The petting farm was such a cute touch too (the sheep definitely stole the show). You can tell the students really put their heart into making the whole event feel welcoming and organized. We also stopped by the Farm Store on our way out and stocked up on fresh produce, wine (they grow their own grapes!), and some amazing pumpkin bread.

Got there when the event first open, crowd was too massive and was able to take some really great pictures in the Pumpkin area. The petting zoo was really fun- Goats and herds of sheep were walking around the petting area awaiting to be fed (really liked the cleaning station near the exit for easy hand washing), animals were really mellow- which created a fun environment for kids. Agreed with some reviews; the entrance fee is a bit pricey, though I did enjoy this festival

For parking, it was an easy process going from the gate and getting funneled to available spots. They take American Express at the gate. Be prepared to remember where your car is parked because it could feel like a maze later. For food, there were a lot of options all around the venue. There were so many options but my girlfriend and I could only try a handful. There was a good variety of items and we specifically got to try the following: matcha latte, pork belly tacos, tiramisu parfait, pizza taiyaki, and ube banana pudding. We saw online that there was a program. But honestly this wasn't something we focused on. Most of our time was spent browsing the different halls that consisted of different vendors, food vendors, kpop, artwork, anime, etc. The only drawback was we were not able to get a full preview of what vendors were attending. However, we were able to get by with some of the ones highlighted on their instagram and discovered by walking around. We spent about 3.5 hours here. A lot of vendors accepted American Express. Looking forward to coming back here again!

My wife spun a wheel and won a free facial. Was it free? She loved it so much, we purchased two facials and other cosmetic specials. Several food trucks to feed the hungry. We got there at 10am so we weren't very hungry. It smelled tempting though. Half of the exhibition were filled with anime and card shows. A great place for those who are interested. Parking was good once you got in. They only took credit cards, so this took time to get in.

So glad we listened. We ordered a lobster grilled cheese sandwich and I can say that it is BY FAR the very best sandwich I've ever had and for sure the best food I've ever tasted at the fair. The crispy bread and the gooey cheese, lots of avocado and the lobster! Just heaven, pure pure heaven. Just talking about it makes my mouth drool. The spicy sauce and the cheese all complimented each other without covering up the sweet taste of the lobster. The sandwich was big enough and filling enough to share. They had so much delicious food options that I would def want to go back for. Such options like their filet mignon quesadilla, kobe sliders and the pork belly tacos (I believe). They had 3 different locations throughout the fair and I was very happy with product and most of all the service from these employees. Putting and dealing with customers all day long, they continued to provide the best service. letting you try the products and many juices. Oh I forgot too say its Mexican Food. I got to tell you something, As I was sitting there an employees brought over a Funnel cake and she saw I was looking at it, and within minutes she had offered me to taste it. How many times have you gone to eat out an employee has done that. Thank You Alma from Del Real Foods.
