He's a really personable guy. Super nice. He took copies of our documents and said he'd get to work on our returns. I got a call Wednesday morning that our taxes were done. That was quick! An appointment was made to pick them up the following Monday. Again, a warm welcome from Sam...and he had good news! We'll be getting both a Federal and a State refund. Happy dance! We provided our banking information and our returns were filed electronically. Sam provided paper copies for us, we paid a very reasonable fee for his services and we were done. I wish we'd known about Tax Guys years ago. Easy Peasy and no hubby stressing out at his computer doing our taxes himself. Highly recommend! They do both personal and business returns, too. I have done business with Bayne Bookkeeping since 2010. They did a great job. In 2014 I received a…read moredemand for payment from California tax board for 2011. It was only $175. Each quarter I received a statement with additional fees and penalties. Dick Bayne would always tell me not to pay. He would say I didn't owe it. In 2018 the state attached my bank account and took my balance, plus the bank charged me $100 for their inconvenience! Bayne said he would handle it. Two months later the state attached another bank account. After fees and penalties I lost $900. Bayne has refused to back his work or provide an explanation. He won't even answer, or return my calls. Certified tax accountants back their work. I should have only lost the owed tax of $175. Be careful. I trusted them. Now I worry if there will be audits in the future and I will be on my own.
