Where do I start with this amazing place. The staff was very professional, kind, and efficient. I truly appreciate being seen with such short notice. Dr. Do was just as fabulous as his staff. He explained my issue very well and made me feel comfortable which is sometimes hard when going in for dental work. He is very ethical and helped me understand my issue with ease. 5 stars for sure! read more

I started to become very sensitive to anything cold on Thanksgiving day on one area of my teeth. I thought I could never enjoy a bowl of cereal or a cup of boba again. My dentist referred me to this location for treatment. I was able to schedule an appointment within a day. Everyone here is very friendly. I experienced a root canal in the past and it was very painful, but here it was fast and painless. Dr. Kim did an awesome job! Kudos! read more

Best root canal I ever had! I was able to be seen within a couple of days prior to leaving on a months long trip. I was made to feel comfortable and experienced very little discomfort. I have had two or three previous root canals and as expressed earlier, this was by far the least complicated. I do not hesitate to recommend Laguna Endodontics and their professional staff. Thank You. read more

I was referred by my regular dentist for a root canal & the whole process was smooth. Their office also will call you if they have any openings so that's always a plus if you can be seen even sooner. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I met a lot of different assistance on my 1 visit but everyone was very efficient and helpful. Dr Do was awesome, he took time before and after my exam and explained everything throughly. I really appreciated (but also felt bad) that he extended my session into his lunch hour so he could do two since I didn't want to have to go through the pain twice since we found out I needed two done. Thankfully, I felt not pain at all & almost fell asleep thats how relaxed I felt under his care, that's strange to say bc root canals can be painful. Again, I really appreciated the care I received & though it costed me an arm & a leg, I believe the overall experience was worth it! read more

Dr. Do did very good root canal work. There was very little pain during the procedure and none afterwards. The worst part was having to lie in a dental chair for 90 minutes with my mouth open. read more

I needed my root canal redone - Dr. Laura Kim and her assistants did a fantastic job! From the very beginning I felt myself in super-professional hands. Dr. Do and his entire team are AMAZING! This was my first root canal and it was such a pleasant experience. I'm very impressed with the root canal procedure I did here 15 mins ago. I didn't feel any pain and even the injections. I've had 3 root canal done to me before with 3 different dentist.. so far so good.. read more

My dentist told me I needed a root canal and so I was referred to here. I was extremely nervous about the procedure because of the painful stories I've been told. I had a consultation first. The assistant took x-rays of my teeth and Dr. Do examined it. He also did a cold test to see if the affected tooth would react, but it didn't. That's when Dr. Do concluded the nerve was dead and a root canal was necessary. The root canal was done immediately after the consultation. He injected local anesthesia in my gums and surrounding area. After 5-10 minutes he proceeded with the root canal procedure. The procedure was painless and took about 45 minutes - 1 hour to complete. Dr. Do and his assistant were both very professional and worked efficiently. After the procedure they took x-rays again to show and explain to me what he did. Dr. Do, his assistant, and staff were very kind, helpful, and informative. I highly recommend Laguna Endodontics for any endodontics needs. read more

I wish I can give zero star to this location. There is a lady who owns this facility and she is very rude to the patients who later complaints about their pain still going on after they got treatment in this location. My regular dentist referred me to this location for my special root canal surgery and they did treatment and told me that within 72 hours I will see some relief from pain. But I was in same pain for the next 3 weeks and then I called here and the lady owner replied me that it wll take a while to see pain to go away and then I asked why they told me 72 hours on that treatment day. She has only interest to get big amount of money from me and from my dental insurance to go in her bank account and don't care about patient's pain. Now my wife was referred to same location and the lady owner told my wife that I will not do your root canal or any other member of your family as your husband complaint on his pain on phone. So this way she treat her patients, but still you guys go over here but never call her back to inform her that your pain still hurting you, she don't want to here that from us, so decide before treatment. read more

My 6 year old was having tooth pain and had to have a root canal done on his permanent tooth. We were referred to Dr. Do from Kids Care Dental because he is a specialist. I was so nervous as I know how painful this could be to have done for anyone. Everyone here from front staff, back office staff to the doctor were so reassuring. They accommodated my son into their schedule for treatment. The procedure went smoother than any dentist visit my son has been to. My son was so relaxed with the numbing and fell asleep and snored through the root canal procedure. I was surprised as to how good my son handled this appointment. After this experience I can truly attest that Dr. Do is an expert and was so gentle with the procedure for my son. I will definitely go back to only him for a root canal if need be in the future. Thanks so much to everyone at the office. read more

I received services here back in February for a root canal. And the experience was nothing but pleasant. The front desk receptionist were extremely friendly and welcoming. The dentist who performed the root canal was amazing as well. She did such a wonderful job, I felt no pain or discomfort. I didn't even need pain meds after the procedure. The billing manager is on top of everything. A couple months later, when I received my eob it showed I overpaid. I called the office and spoke to her and within a couple weeks I received my reimbursement in the mail. They made everything so simple, no complications. I felt so at ease with this office. I really wished they did other dental work but they don't because I would definitely come here for everything else. I highly recommend this place to anyone needing to get a root canal done. This is probably one of the best provider office I have ever dealt with. read more

I arrived at his office because my dentist referred me to him for a root canal. I had been in pain for three days with, what turned out to be, an infection in my jaw. I explained in detail my attempts to manage the pain with all the pain relief medicines I had on hand at home. I said that I had been using Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Orajel, and fininshed using some Vicodin tablets (that I had left over from a medical procedure I received earlier this year) and that I was still in pain. He presented as attentive, but lacked compassion. I received an examination and x-rays, he said that my "infection was so severe that" if he performed the root canal on the spot I would "end up in the emergency room." Dr. Do instructed me to take antibiotics for seven days, and after the infection was under control, he would do the root canal. I asked how soon I would feel relief from the pain. He said that it would be at least two days and that during that time it may become worse and that my face may swell even more than it had already. I asked again if there was anything I can do for the pain. He said the only thing I could do was take the antibiotics and after a couple of days they should begin to reduce the infection and swelling, and thus, the pain. I was concerned at this point by what he was saying because I had been in SO much pain and I needed something stronger than over the counter medicine in order to function on a daily basis and sleep at night. I asked again if there was anything I could do to address the pain and he said, "No." As the hours passed after my appointment with him and taking the antibiotics as prescribed, I entered a state of excruciating pain that I really cannot describe in words. The next day, when I called my general dentist the reaction to the fact that Hung K. Do, D.D.S. of Laguna Endodontics did not prescribe anything to manage my pain was "Mortified." My dentist was "mortified" that Dr. Do permitted me to leave his office without pain relief. That was very validating for me and is what prompted me to make the decision to write this review of Dr. Do. Thankfully, my dentist is able to accurately assess my condition and he gave me pain relief medicine. Dr. Hung K. Do was NOT able to accurately assess my needs and as a result I suffered needlessly. As I lay in bed in pain, I wondered why Dr. Do would not help me. If he thought that I was not in enough pain to warrant pain management medication, then he did not ask the right questions. If he is against prescribing pain medicine and prefers a more natural approach, then he should have disclosed this during our appointment. If he lacks empathy and the ability to gauge a patient's level of pain, then he needs to return to school and receive more training. In every scenario I thought of, I could not find a reasonable explanation as to why I should be in such terrible pain other than that Dr. Do is incompetent and, perhaps, even unethical. I ended up cancelling any further work with Dr. Do and obtaining a referral to another Endodontist for the root canal I needed. I would not recommend this practitioner and I hope that this review is a wake up call for whatever is lacking in his assessment of patients' needs. I will be making reports against Dr. Do to the American Dental Association and The American Association of Endodontists for his inability to accurately assess my condition and respond appropriately. read more

When I came to Dr. Do I had been in a pain for a long time and was growing leery of advice regarding my tooth pain. I had a ton of questions and was very anxious and hesitant to do the root canal. Dr. Do was exceedingly patient, listening to all of my concerns and answered every question thoroughly. I felt absolutely no pressure to have the root canal done, but after talking to him decided it was my best shot to get rid of the pain. I was eager to get the root canal done ASAP because the pain was unbearable, and the receptionist was nice about letting me in a little early so I could wait inside until Dr. Do arrived. I had no pain during the procedure, and actually felt a huge relief from the local anesthetic. It's a long procedure, but he worked efficiently and methodically. I also liked that he showed me the X-rays so I could actually see and understand what he did during the procedure. Maybe I'm a bit biased because this root canal ended months of terrible pain for me, but I really can't think of a single complaint I could make about Dr. Do or his office. read more

If I could rate them a zero I would have . My dentist referred me to this office for a root canal. While I was filling out my paperwork a employee came in from outside smoking. She went right to her desk in front of the window where I was standing. I gasp for fresh air she looked at me and said what I looked right at her and said " you stink of cigarette smoke!" She asked if I wanted a mask I replied to her with no I would like you to wash your hands. She than applied sanitizer to her hands. I told her if she didn't wash first with soap the sanitizer is inadequate and this is a medical office and she should be aware of the hand washing process. The other friendly office staff put me in a room away from the smell. Before the procedure started I was told if at any time you feel pain raise your left hand and we can stop and give you more pain medicine. Needless to say my left arm was up so many times like a flag pole . At one point I let's out a scream the Doctors exact words to me was your nerve is really swollen you will have to try to be more tolerant that he is almost where he needs to be inside the tooth. I felt a push and pressure and a pop and I screamed out again. He said ok we're in I can address the pain. The procedure was finally finished I was instructed not to chew on that side for the rest of the day. I said with the horrible amount of pain that I have been in the last week and from the procedure is there something he can prescribe. He exact words just take Tylenol. Well now I know why they ask for the co payment in full before the procedure. I went home and called my Dentist immediately and informed them of the horrific way I was treated and that I will be contacting the Board of Health to submit a complaint for employees not washing hands. My dentist was kind enough to offer a prescription to relieve the pain if needed. Do not go to this place unless you enjoy pain. read more

Thank you Dr. Do for calming and relieving my fears about getting a root canal re-done. I was deathly afraid coming in to the office because I had a really bad experience twice. He took the time before the procedure to answer all of my questions and talk about what he would be performing which was not a root canal but a re-do of what had already been done. He found that the previous dentist (who was not an Endodontist by practice) left a piece of plastic in my tooth that was causing me years of pain. He removed it and automatically it felt better. My tooth has not felt this good in years, thank you so much Dr. Do. read more

So let's be real, no one wants to get a root canal; but, if your unlucky enough to need one, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Do & Laguna Endodontics. I went a few years ago, and needed to go again today for a different tooth. Both times I was greeted by friendly, professional, calming staff and dentist. Dr. Do explained everything before, during and after the procedure. He ensured that I understood what was happening with the nerve and the options I had. He gave me choices and answered alllllll my questions; never once rushing me. While waiting to get numb I overheard him telling another patient they didn't need a root canal and offered alternatives to resolve whatever issue they were having. I am impressed by his commitment, ethics and honesty. I hope to never another root canal, but if I do, I will rerun to Laguna Endodontics without reservation. read more

Dr. Do is one of the best dentists I've ever been to. Too bad he is not a general dentist, I would love to see him regularly. He is a great endodontist. He specialized in root canals and is very gentle with his hands. I couldn't even feel the injection and fell alseep during the 1.5 hour procedure! I hear horror stories about root canals all the time but Dr. Do totally changed my views about root canals by 360 degrees. I recommend all my friends and family to Dr. Do if they need root canals. No one has given me any negative feedback about him so far, which is good! read more

So, I came in today for my consult with Dr.Do and its was so fast! Came in about 1:45pm and filled out paperwork and was OUT by 2:10pm! I had a consultation done due to my upper molar hurting pretty bad. My primary dentist was unable to figure out if i needed a root canal (bit tricky) so I was referred here :) He figured it out right away which was a relief knowing something is wrong lol so then he showed me on the xrays, spoke about what we would do, and the verdict is Root canal in a month.... I only gave 4 stars because I haven't had the full experience (procedure) once I do I will review again, but so far, so good!! Great doctor... It was the sodium hypochlorite irrigation that was the worse part and no suction to prevent spillage. My throat burned for three hours afterward. Two days later I still can't chew solid food. Before getting a root canal I'd advise a second opinion and I'd avoid this place in any case as I was told that the treatment might not be successful. If they weren't entirely sure of its effectiveness that should have been said before the procedure not after. Not to mention the 12+ X-rays for just ONE tooth. Update day three apparently I should have started the antibiotic, amoxicillin, BEFORE having the procedure not after. I now have a large abscess compromising two other teeth. In the meantime, I found that some endodontist do "ultrasonic" root canals which apparently has better results. Be advised. I had to go to the ER this morning for advice and stronger pain medication since the pain woke me one at one AM. I will call the referring dentist in the morning about this. read more

I recently moved to this area. The Staff was very accommodating, and was able to get me an appointment within three days when another patient canceled. I saw Dr. Do shortly after Christmas 2014. I wholehearted agree with Andrew T. with his assessment of the patience of Dr. Do. Dr. Do has a very calming demeanor, is very patient, and gave me all the time I needed to bring him up to speed with my dental problems, that lead me to his office. Last year I saw a dentist to have a wisdom tooth pulled and he purposefully pull a molar that already had a root canal done and was healthy. He had hoped that I would return to have the wisdom tooth extracted. Instead I had a rendezvous in court with him (of course). I can tell you that there was absolutely no pressure From Dr. Do or his staff, to get a root canal treatment. In fact he discouraged that as long as I have no physical discomfort. I had researched other endodontists, and if a patient, hinted that the dental office is more interested in generating cash flow, I am very much turned of already. I wished, that I had seen Dr. Do two years ago. The valuable professional opinion he provided would have ensured, a more sound treatment plan and I would have certainly been left with more of my own teeth. If I need further treatment by a specialist, Dr. Do, is the one I would be willing to travel to, even if I relocate again. read more
