It's been a while since I updated my review for Divine Dental Solutions, but I can definitely say, my review has not changed. Dr. Ly and his staff are inviting, warm, transparent, and truly treats his patients with the utmost care. I recently got an apicoectomy done and he was willing to stay late to accommodate my work schedule, put on music for me so I would feel more comfortable, continuously reapply Vaseline for my dried lips, and even gave me an unplanned and unscheduled cleaning post surgery. Not only can you tell that Divine Dental Solutions cares about their patients, but you can definitely tell that Dr. Ly is well versed in all that he does. He goes over the procedure with his patients, finances, and truly takes his time to do a good job. I've also taken my toddler here since she got her very first tooth and Leah does a great job calming her down, giving her prizes from their treasure box so she will be excited to return, and they even have a little inviting kiddy area with fun books. I came in for a dental cleaning and it was done by the hygienist. The experience of the cleaning was one of the worst. Water consistently dripped down my mouth and neck. She was a rough and didn't provide me any glasses to prevent sprays. She discussed my "plan" but I never saw the dentist. Typically you would discuss this with the dentist about your diagnosis, not the Hygienist. I will not be going back. read more

I've had bad experiences at plenty of different offices but this office is AMAZING! Very clean office, ALL staff including the Dentist, Hygienist, Assistants & Front Desk staff are very nice and professional! I liked the office so much after my first appointment i brought my 2 year old and 3 year old here they did GREAT with them. First, I want to start with the fact that I avoided going to the dentist for the longest time because of fear and dental trauma as a child. Due to an infected tooth, I couldn't avoid the dentist anymore and was able to get a same day appointment with divine dental solutions. After X-rays, it was determined that extraction was the best option along with extracting my wisdom tooth that was next to it. Dr. Ly extracted both teeth the same day. I was really nervous, but the extraction went way better than I expected. I didn't feel any pain while Dr. Ly extracted the teeth. By the time I know it, he was done. The recovery went really well. I did not experience any pain at all. I also came in for another appointment to do a complete deep cleaning of all my teeth. Leah, the DH, took her time and throughly cleaned all of my teeth. She also showed me the correct way to brush and floss. She was very kind, understanding, and personable. I didn't felt judged for why I didn't visit the dental office as much as I should. My only wish is that they accepted my dental insurance because there are still a lot of work that needs to be done on my teeth, but because my insurance is not accepted there, I'll have to go to a dental place that accepts my insurance or continue to pay out of pocket for all the work that needs to be done read more

I stumbled across Divine Solution Dentist, and after skimming through the reviews, which seemed relatively positive and idyllic, I was convinced to try the clinic. I am a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due, and admittedly, Dr. Ly is an outstanding dentist who is profoundly skilled at his craft and possesses a keen intelligence within this field. The staff and ambiance of the clinic were professional, amiable, and compassionate. Like any dental clinic, on the first visit, you get diagnosed and presented with a treatment plan that caters to your concern(s) and any additional concern(s) the dentist deems appropriate to address while outlining the clinic's fee(s), the dental insurance estimated coverages and the expected co-payment the patient will solely be responsible for prior to their treatment process with the dentist, which was the process I went through. On the day of my treatment and before getting my treatment, the treatment plan was reviewed once more with a mutual understanding from both sides of the co-payment I was responsible for. The payment was successfully fulfilled, and the front receptionist made no further comments/concerns. I received my fillings, a core buildup, and a delivery of a new crown, all on the same day that I made my co-payment. A few months later, the clinic contacted me only to inform me that my dental insurance coverage was significantly lower than anticipated, unlike any of their other patients' plans. This resulted in my "additional" responsibility for the remaining differences for the fillings not covered entirely by my insurance. Furthermore, reiterating the words uttered by the mouth of the staff, the clinic will "appeal again" with the insurance for the crown that the insurance denied already, and if unsuccessful, I will be responsible for the outstanding balance. These "additional payments and extra information" failed to be verbally disclosed to me and differed from the initial treatment plan discussed with me, on top of the co-payment I made. Let alone on the day of my treatment, as a patient, since none of the staff brought anything to my attention, I was under the impression that my case was smooth sailing. I understand how imperative it is for the clinic's business/insurance verifying department to operate. They advocate for the patient, contacting the insurance representative to determine, if not all, some accurate estimated coverages the insurance is willing to fulfill. Meanwhile, the clinic provides all necessary X-ray documentation(s) to support the patient's case and ensures that the insurance approves the case first before the patient is scheduled with the dentist. As a patient, I had entrusted the clinic with every process, including insurance, believing it was within their expertise. However, the clinic's management of my case has left me feeling distraught, bewildered, and abandoned. I cannot comprehend the clinic's approach to my case thus far and why I was even scheduled to proceed with my treatments if there was never approval by my insurance, especially with the new crown. I echoed the words of one of the staff and the office manager, who had the audacity to request my understanding of the situation, saying, "We understand, and we are sorry... If we had known at that time... We are trying our best to make this work for you." If anything, I want to emphasize that your clinic didn't aid the situation. The clinic's lack of understanding, ineffective communication, and mishandling, has now put me, the patient, in a predicament that is financial hardship as well as questioning the trust I had placed in your clinic. Dr.Ly and his office are the best! I've looked all around the Sacramento area from Lincoln to Elk Grove, and he was the only dentist that would work on my kids without putting them out. Every Dentist in the Sacramento region is pushing for General Anesthesia to work on Pediatric Patients! I believe this is unhealthy for children. It is a huge amount of stress on their brains and I believe will cause problems down the line. Most of the pediatric dentist are pushing for this treatment plan because it is fast and brings more profit having to outsource hiring professionals to put kids out for dental work. Dr. Ly and his team were incredible! I am a person who is afraid of dental and stressed about hurting. I remember I got four wisdom teeth, which had been damaged for a long time, and my face was swallowed then. I have researched so many places of good dental, but no one has all five and then I saw Divine Dental Solutions completely best matches me. I saw all the reviews and read carefully through each comment. The next day, because my teeth hurt, I came in right away when they opened. When I come, I will make an appointment asap because I'm hurt. But when the nurse X-rayed my teeth, she said Dr. Ly was not as busy in the morning so that he could give me wisdom surgery. I was so happy because I would get rid of these teeth, but I will so scare at that moment. After checking and having everything thing prepared, I got into the surgery. I was so open to my mind when I saw doctor Ly. He was like my dad because I was just 18 years old. He was gentle and friendly. He explained everything he would do with a photo of my four wisdom teeth. The only thing I was surprised because he explained to me he was numbing my teeth, but I was not hurt during the surgery, and he did not ever let me sleep because my case was hard, so when I feel pressure, or I need a little break, I need to raise my hand so he can know it right away. But if I got to sleep, when I hurt, he would not know to stop. Overall, the surgery was successful, and I'd been emotional because the nursing girl and doctor Ly treated me well. I went by myself, and few were so lonely, but the team made me feel I was a part of their family. Doctor Ly always told me to do something to protect my cut, told me all the after-care, and gave me a personal phone number so I could call and text him anytime about my worries. So I recommend you guys come here and check it out. The office was clean. The team was professional, and the machines were new and modern. It was so priced, but it was completed, so worth my money. I came to Dr. Ly and Leah, for a last opinion, after many previous dental suggestions that either I get braces or avisalign done before getting veneers. I have been wanting veneers done and fixing my smile but did not want to go through all the hassle of getting braces and then having to take it off later when ready. I wanted something quick that can be done in a day or 2 and at the same time with nice and good quality. I'm glad that I reached out to Dr. Ly  and Leah. They were able to set me up with an in office consultation. Dr. Ly has this computer designer system that was able to take xrays of my teeth and replicate the veneers close to the design model of my teeth.  The machine was able to show the ways to cut and design the veneers to fit my teeth, and the best part about is that all that was done there at the clinic. Dr. Ly can explain much better than I can. I was able to get 8 veneers and 2 crowns down within 2 visits. I love my smile so much more now! This was hands down the nicest, cleanest, and most efficient dentist I have ever been to! The office is nice and clean. Dr. Ly and his staff went above and beyond to make sure that we felt comfortable. They treat us with great hospitality and even got us lunch for the two days that we were there. First of all, what I really love about this place is that these guys are great listeners and will do exactly what you need them to do. Definitely a dentist I can trust. My 7 year old has been traumatized since he was 3 years old due to an incident at Methodist hospital. Since then, he has been scared of entering into any medical or dental office. We called Dr. Ly because my son's tooth decay has led to a abscess on his gum. Dr. Ly and his team were able to get him in on the same day, get an x-ray, and extract the tooth that was giving him problems. That was surprising to me because no other dentist in the south Sacramento/Elk Grove area was able to convince my son to take an x-ray, let along sit through an extraction. I had an impacted wisdom tooth that was partially erupted and close to the nerves. None of the oral surgeons in Stockton, where I'm from were able to pull it out! That's when I decided to look for the best oral surgeon in Sacramento and found Dr. Ly and after reading all the good reviews here on Yelp I made an appointment for a consultation. He said he was able to do it but I'll be awake because he doesn't put people to sleep and said I might need to get a 3d xray. Removal day came, I was scared as hell. He made sure I was numb and often ask if I'm okay. Everything went smooth, got stitches and I didn't even need the 3d. Dr. Ly is an expert and professional at what he does and it showed! My primary dentist referred my 3 year old son to a downtown pediatric dentist who specializes in sedating children to get fillings work done. I did it with my daughter and although it went well, I regretted because of the risk and danger of sedating young children. I contacted Dr. Ly's office and to my surprise he returned my call the same day. We discussed the many options I have and what he specialized in. Dr. Ly made me feel very comfortable and safe. He thoroughly explained the work and the latest technology he uses. We went in for a consultation and he made my son very comfortable. Again, he took his time and thoroughly explained the procedure he would do. On the day of the procedure, my husband and I were both allowed to stay in the room and watched Dr. Ly work on my son's teeth. The pediatric dentist I took my daughter to did not allow me in the room which made me very uncomfortable. That was not the case at all with Dr. Ly. He welcomed us to sit in and watch. We were able to get all the filling work done on all of the teeth my son needed fillings in one visit. He was gentle, took his time, and did a clean job. My son did NOT get strapped down or tied down. He was comfortable with Dr. Ly that he followed all the directions Dr. Ly gave him. The best dentist in Sacramento! Late post: About a year ago I was getting major pain from my wisdom teeth growing in. My family and I have been with Dr. Ly for about 10years. Before going to far away for college, Dr. Ly recommended that he pull out my wisdom teeth before so that I wouldn't suffer the consequences of my wisdom teeth growing in later on. At the time I did not think it was a huge deal, and did not get them pulled out. A few years later, my wisdom teeth were growing in and were causing MAJOR pain in my mouth. I was in one of the most critically important weeks of my life at my job/college, and yet I couldn't concentrate, work, or eat because of the pain. I needed immediate help because I had work/school deadlines/tests approaching and oral numbing gels/pain medications were not helping. My boss sent me home so I could call dentists near my college, but I failed to get an appt or ran into insurance issues. Then I decided to called Dr. Ly's office, even though I would've needed to travel to get there, and explained my dire need of getting my teeth pulled out. They were so kind and so understanding. They were booked, but they were able to fit me into their tight schedule for the next day. I was so grateful and booked a ticket to come back to Sacramento. Dr. Ly and his wife stayed late after work so they could finish my operation and get me back to my regular self so I could continue working and meet my deadlines. The operation went great!. I did not go under, as I opted to only get local anesthesia (numbing while awake) and the operation went smooth. They prescribed me medication which I was able to get through my primary care doctor/pharmacy. My gums healed up within a few weeks and they called me to checkup. Let me begin by saying that Divine Dental was my 3rd consultation on having my 3 wisdom teeth extracted. The first wanted to do the extraction under general anesthesia, which I did not want and when I requested that he do the extraction while I was awake, he said he would not extract my teeth. The second almost said the same thing, but offered a lighter sedation method. I wanted to be completely conscious during the procedure and that is when I stumbled upon Divine Dental Solutions. Mind you I am from Stockton, but drove all the way to Sacramento to consult with Dr. Ly. I made my appointment for my consultation and they informed me if I wanted, I would have my extractions the same day. After seeing their great Yelp reviews, I agreed. The moment I arrived at the office I knew I had made the right decision. Dr. Ly removed all 3 wisdom teeth, two of which were severely impacted, and I felt little to no pain during the entire procedure. He took his time and walked me through what was going on during the entire process. He even called me himself later in the evening to see how I was feeling, and it happened to be a 3 day weekend (memorial day) and he let me know I could call or text him any time if I had any questions or concerns. A week went by and each day my pain was better and better. I went back a week later to have my stitches removed, and since I was their first appointment of the day they even bought me coffee, so when I arrived, they had coffee waiting for me and they were ready to bring me right in for my stitch removal. The removal was painless and I am right back to normal. I am thankful and grateful that this has been such a positive experience, and would recommend Dr. Ly to anyone looking for a general dentist or need something special done to their teeth (extraction, implant, etc). Dr. Ly was amazing. I came in for a wisdom tooth extraction and he explained the procedure to me very thoroughly. I was really nervous at first and I hate going to the dentist as I hated getting the novocaine shots. Dr. Ly made me feel very comfortable and I did not feel the shot at all. While removing my two bottom wisdom teeth, I was able to watch a movie and he talked me through the whole thing, which was really comforting. I was awake during the whole procedure but I couldn't feel a thing. Post surgery: I was really afraid of the recovery process because my boyfriend was telling me that I was going to be in a lot of pain. I only felt really bad pain a couple hours after the surgery and there was barely any swelling. I was able to sleep through the night just fine and the next day, there was little to no pain at all!! Only a little bit of soreness. I really believe that it was because Dr. Ly did such a great job extracting my wisdom teeth and that is why my recovery was not bad at all. Dr. Ly and his team are the best; kind, patient and sincere. They really care about you and take the time to answer any questions you have about your care. I'm currently on a brace journey with them right now so I will continue to update as I go. I got 4 wisdom teeth removed and I was shocked when they explained I wouldn't need anesthesia. They numbed my entire mouth and completed the procedure. I was awake the whole time and it was an interesting but cool experience. I was able to drive home, complete errands and work my regular job (work from home). The thing that stood out to me during the procedure was that since I was awake Dr. Ly was able to work with me as a team to make sure no nerve was hit so I could avoid nerve damage. He also made sure I had his personal number in case of any emergencies. I went in to get my cavities filled so it would look aesthetically pleasing when I finally got my braces. He took the time to explain the procedure and after care. He had an assistant who helped him. Throughout the procedure. I noticed he was also teaching and guiding his assistant so she could be more educated about dental health and do the procedure with him correctly. I really appreciate teaching moments like that since I'm an educator myself. I also need to go back to fix some of my teeth because of my poor teeth care when I was younger but he explained it wasn't needed at the moment and I could wait until next year when my insurance could cover it. His team worked with me and didn't push me to complete my brace journey quickly so they could earn money. They actually worked with my budget and insurance to make sure I didn't have to pay out of pocket if not necessary. Dr. Ly explained the different types of braces I could get and which one he recommended. He didn't force me to chose one but rather explained each one and the one that would be most beneficial to me. Side Note: The only thing was when I went back to get my stitches taken out for my wisdom teeth they forgot a stitch but they apologized and fixed it right away. I still would recommend Dr. Ly to anyone even if you want to go in just for a consult. read more

After many trials with other dental places and dentists, I am happy to have found Divine Dental with Dr. Ly. I came into the office for a failed root canal done by another dentist. Dr. Ly was really upfront with me about the success rate of the tooth and assured me that he will try his best when my other dentist didn't want to deal with it. My experince at Divine Dental Solutions was amazing. They really do care for their patients. They are very transparent. I recently got my wisdom teeth pulled out with just numbing, no Anesthesia.
