My email you quoted was diplomatic and I was trying to be nice. I should have been blunt and given you the reasons why I bailed out which I have put in this review. You can spin it anyway you want to, but the bottom line was you weren't sure about whole booking from the start because you knew I was to savvy.(your words) Of course you don't get paid till the client goes on the trip and uses the vendors. I know that. I made sure Aroyo travel was aware of your behavior too! Having used several travel agents through the years I've never had this issue. I've never been on a "generic" trip. All my trips are custom for made for me with the research I've done into the area I'm traveling to. I…read morehave never used a travel agent before as I am pretty well versed in traveling and deal hunting; however, having never traveled to tropical islands (outside Hawai'i) and especially not to one has complicated as the Maldives. I actually initially thought I'd inquire just to see what advice he had and prices he could quote, fully expecting that I would be able to find a cheaper deal on my own. As it turns out, his prices were pretty much the same as what I could find, initially. I say initially because he came across a deal that was significantly cheaper than anything else I could find for a top notch resort (but still expensive, of course. It's the Maldives!). In all honesty, I was a bit skeptical at first (sorry Chris! I'm a believer now! lol) but I took some precautions and did some additional research and found that everything seemed legit and decided to book with Chris. Being lifelong military, I'm pretty OCD and have many questions about the smallest details. Chris was able to address all my issues and inquiries and if he didn't know, he was able to talk to his contacts on the resorts to get the details for me. Outstanding service! Anyway, always being a skeptic, the deal that Chris got me was still a little too good to be true kind of situation so as the date approached for our honeymoon trip to the Maldives, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But man, was I blown away. Hands down best trip/vacation I've ever taken in life and honestly probably impossible to top. Plus, Chris made it the easiest trip I've ever taken. The resort was every bit amazing as the reviews on trip advisor and everything Chris said it would be (and more). Everything was smooth and squared away with no room for error or confusion in travelling and checking in. I will definitely be pinging Chris for all my trips moving forward. The absolute best.
