We stopped here on a whim after getting some work done in a coffee shop nearby. We were SO impressed. Cute and classic interior with good music. Our server, Taylor, was so fun and energetic. She was helpful and quick with service. She seemed like the only hostess/waitress/bartender/manager on that day, and despite running around to take care of everyone, she maintained a great attitude and seemed to really care about every customer in the building. The drinks here are made with LOVE (Thanks again Taylor ). The food was fast and delicious. I recommend the fried pickles and the calzone! read more

Growing up in the Midwest, not too far from Chicago, I was excited to see Chicago style pizza on a menu. Well.....the Chicago style pizza "concept" they delivered, but not even close to the real thing. Their pizzas are 2 regular pizza crusts stuffed with toppings and cheese and pizza sauce on the top crust. It wasn't bad, just not the deep dish stuffed Chicago style pizza I am used to. Way to expensive for what you get. read more

Ordered on line for pickup 45 mins after order. Got there and they were busy. The front cashier lady was rude and said it was not ready and that we had to wait. I asked if they knew how long and she laughed and said they got busy just wait. Pizza sauce was being mixed on the floor of shop in a metal container that was then lifted onto the prep area. Lots of people working but no one knew what was going on. Waiting 10 mins and asked another younger guy who responded loudly - "just give me a minute man" then ran off. Waited a few more mins and another older lady came to the front. Asked her and she was kind and said she would ask. She asked the pizza making team and they told her it was in the case waiting for me. They found one pizza but could not find another. Waited more time and they decided to give me cheese pizza that was for someone else. Got home and the pizza with toppings had the wrong to ping on it. Got someone else's pizza. It was burned on the bottom and overcooked. The place had lots of staff but they were not working together and they were mostly rude to several customers including us. Need better customer service skills but did not seem to care. Pizza is average at best and due to the lack of customer service we won't be back. read more

We decided to grab a pizza from Lago the last time we were in town after trying subs the time before that. We got a chicken and veggie New York style pizza with breadsticks and salads and had about the same experience as with the subs. It wasn't bad, but it didn't knock our socks off either. My wife and I ordered our from Lago pizza. We had the wings and a margarita pizza. We arrived and went in to pick up the pizza. The dining area is really small but there are a few seats. There is a large number of staff expediting, preparing and cooking which was really nice to see. We got our pizza and headed out. When we opened the box it looked like a cheese pizza. Now my wife and I have traveled all over the US and had many margarita pizzas and this did not in any way resemble a margarita pizza. I was in Chicago no more than three months before this visit and had a margarita pizza there and it didn't resemble even that pizza. It was a basic cheese pizza with freeze dried herbs. My opinion of margarita style pizza begins with the dough and the dough was borderline ok. The sauce really was nothing special at all. There was no fresh herbs or pulled mozzarella at all. This was a basic cheese pizza sprinkled with dried oregano. Truly disappointed in the quality and ingredients. The staff was upbeat and friendly though. read more

It was ok. The staff was nice and really efficient in getting our pizzas (we ordered 6 at once) out in a timely manner. I got the Hawaiian pizza and added bacon. I think they got the order wrong tho, because I didn't see any bacon. It's a really thin crust pizza. If you need a quick pizza , it's a safe bet, i did like that the pizzas were really reasonable too. A large was around $18 I think . read more

I absolutely love their pizzas. The chicago is actually a welcomed change up, I always get mine with just hamburger meat and it is wonderful. The NY style pizzas are great as well. However, these aren't what I would typically label as Chicago or NY style (if you have had TRUE NY and Chicago pizzas). I do think they are amazing though. I feel like even though the "styles" aren't spot on to originals, that is okay because they are their own unique style in a way. The sauce is sweet and very appealing, even to those who don't like sweet sauces. It is just sweet enough without being too sweet. I highly recommend, seeing as it is a local establishment. Also, note there are coupon stamps on the insides of the pizza box lids. So you cut those out and once you have 10 you get a free pizza. I have always picked my pizza up, so I cannot rate based off of the in-restaurant experience. I love the lady at the front (owner - forget her name), she is always so nice and I appreciate how hard her and her husband (who I don't see as much anymore) work. read more

Delivery took a long time. We ordered spaghetti with meatballs but got spaghetti with Italian sausage and it had cumin seasoning which is not what you would expect in spaghetti with meatballs. The pizza was below average. It was very sweet and did not have much seasoning or flavor. The mild fried chicken wings were decent but the ranch dressing was not. read more

Not sure how they are doing there food now. I have not been there in a few yrs. When I took my family here for steaks the owner was made cuz I returned the 3 steaks . Mind you we all know what meat and cheese should taste like. The woman owner did not charge me but was upset . Well I worked in a few places that sold food. Loud obnoxious drunks cursing at the bar. One drunk that could barely walk finally left. Everyone told him to be careful, but no one seemed to be concerned about how drunk he was getting behind the wheel. The bartenders just kept serving alcohol to these very inebriated men. Our waitress went out to a vehicle with a man from the bar after several men at the bar were joking with the waitress getting sex for a tip. I had previously asked to have my beverage refilled and when she came back in she asked again if I needed anything and I said just the refill I had asked for before you went outside. The wait for our food was almost 45 minutes and the only other patrons in the restaurant were the men at the bar. Two people working behind the bar. Service was terrible and the food was cold. This place use to be amazing but unfortunately it has went down hill and I will not be back. read more

We had breakfast here today for the first time. It was great! Soooo very happy to have a good breakfast place close to us on the North side of the lake. It is in the same shopping center as the food lion. Amy was our waitress and she was super friendly and responsive. We had the SML breakfast (pancakes were awesome) and the bacon and cheese omelet, with spinach added in. Then I heard the table next to me order blueberry pancakes. Dang it! Now we will have to come back. Portions were generous, too. Highly recommend!!! read more

Small but cozy dinning room. They seem to be understaffed like everywhere else. Ordered fried mushrooms and the cheesesteak sammy. Mushrooms showed up and for $5.99, you get a whopping 6 mushrooms. Most places I have been to in the world give you a basket of shrooms. Long story short, don't order the fried mushrooms. Cheesesteak sandwich was good and the bread it was on is probably one of the better ones I have eaten. It comes with chips which are some stale tasting generic brand I have never heard of. Cheesesteak gets 4.5 stars, mushrooms get a zero. read more
