This is the only game in town when it comes to pizza. The pizza was fine, reminiscent of the pizza in your modal public school cafeteria (but prettier), which brought back pleasant memories. The mozzarella sticks, in contrast, were exceptional - excellent crisp on the crust and easily broken in half (thus preempting double-dipping in marinara. came here for our first night on vacation at SML, and it served its purpose. The salads were nothing to write home about but they got the job done. served with dressing in packets, i did feel like i could've easily made a better salad at home. the pizza looked great but tasted pretty average. very generous with the vegetables which i appreciated and the prices weren't outrageous. the service was lovely, truly no complaints there. if you sit outside, you get a rocking view of the lake and tons of outside happenings. read more

We originally said we were going to sit outside, not that it should even matter, but when we decided to sit inside instead, the employees stared us down the entire time like it was some huge inconvenience. We couldn't even enjoy our meal because one of the workers literally got on the phone complaining that our two kids were "in the building." And that we decided to sit inside. Since when is a pizza place not kid friendly? We MISTAKENLY tipped on a takeout order just to then get chased down for $1 over grabbing a plastic cup to use for my daughters water, then watched like criminals to make sure we didn't fill it with a drink! This is just a nice little old school Pizza spot along the water. They have some nice outdoor seating if it's not too hot. If your eager to beat the heat the air is cold and they also have beer! I've eaten here before and from what I remember the food was good, however when I visited last weekend my group of four were seated and we waited for about 20 minutes without being served. Servers walked past us numerous times without a word. I get that they were busy but at least say something."I'm sorry for the wait, we'll be with you as soon as we can" or something to that effect would've been nice. We got up and left and went to Moosies where we were greeted and seated and served immediately. I have to say the food was very good, the hubby & I love cauliflower crust & order it every where we go that has it........ it showed on the menu that were $14 each....... Be aware...... they charged us almost $70 for two personal sized cauliflower crust supreme pizzas. We have never paid so much for 2 personal sized pizzas. I felt sure they had made a mistake.. when questioned they said the crust is $14..... they added all that extra money for additional toppings. Thought we had found a new place but .. NO! Surprised I have never reviewed this place. It's our favorite pizza place to go at the lake. Great locAtion with water view deck in summer. It gets real crowded in the summer so expect a wait. They are open year round though and have a variety of lunch specials. read more

What we hoped was going to a yummy experience ended up being once of the rudest outings I've ever experienced. We sat at our table for 23 minutes before asking for something to drink only to be denied because the bar tender only delt with the bar. Mind you, he was standing there watching the tv. We are regulars and really enjoy the pizza. Yum!! Sometimes there is a wait on the weekends, but it's worth it. The view is lovely! We normally get a cheese pizza and a pepperoni and mushroom and a pitcher of water. We also love driving the boat to go and get dinner. The area also has shops and ice cream and a marina. We sat outside and a server said if we wanted to order anything to scan the code and she will then bring it and walked away. Ok, frustrating because I didn't have cell service for this and personally prefer to have a drink, who knows maybe an app, and then decide on what to eat. If you want that option you have to make multiple transactions. That's a lot of work and annoying. Also, after ordering I tipped 25% because I appreciate servers and all they do but after I ordered someone else brought my food and I never saw the server again. I had to go in to get my hot sauce then back in for a to-go box. What did I tip for exactly? It's located on a sweet spot on Smith Mountain Lake, however, the spot is totally tainted by the fact that folks are allowed to smoke outside where children are eating. Totally de-evolved to poison non-smoking families with cancer causing smoke. The pizza was ok and the service was good. The amount of styrofoam waste being generated by this restaurant is appalling. Styrofoam cups and plates for every customer. This couple with the waste being created by the individual plastic salad dressing containers and the non-recyclable disposable silverware is Sooooo gross. If you are on the lake and need to stop in somewhere, go to Vinny's. It is literally right across the bridge and ten times better. Tuscan Tavern is better as well but a little more pricey (more of a sit down dinner place). I have had not so great experiences at Tuscan Tavern as far as service go, but their food would lead me to choose it over this one. The only reason I think this place sticks around is because people want a quick bite while they are on the lake or after being on the lake all day. Spare yourselves. Packing a lunch is even better than this. I could make better pizza in a heartbeat. So as far as the food goes, I had a personal pizza and a sub and so did my husband. The sauce is probably generic and from a can, and the dough is VERY doughy. Just not for me. Nothing about the pizza was that good, I was underwhelmed and very hungry so that is why I ate it. I am pretty sure everything on that pizza was generic, the price wasn't worth it either. Service was not hard as we were the only ones in there. So I cannot speak much to service and if it is good or bad. I will tell you, if my parents or family were on the lake with us and we wanted to grab a bite for lunch....we would either pack or go over to Vinny's. Then if we wanted dinner, we would probably clean up first and then go to Vinny's, Tuscan Tavern, or Smokehouse Restaurant. None of the places at Bridgewater have impressed me (except I have not been to Chopsticks so I can't speak to that one). read more

Pizza was horrible.. You can't call this place a pizza pub & sale overpriced FROZEN pizza. I've had much better at home. You should think about taking off the menu & changing the name. We also ordered a chef salad which didn't look like any chef salad that I've had. It was a head of iceberg lettuce with a few pieces of ham, a couple of pieces of cucumbers cut in half, two strings of onions and a dab of cheese. That is not a chef salad and we were disappointed to say for $8. Not to mention the $19 frozen pizza that tasted like cardboard. Little Caesars pizza taste better than this crap. Awesome pizza! Had one of THE BEST supreme pizzas I've had in a long time! Plenty of toppings, and all were very tasty, even the onions. Seriously, most of the time, onions are so strong and places put so many, it kills a pizza. I forgot to tell her light onions but was surprised to find them not only not loaded on there, but very tasty. Granted, the crust while good, had to have been frozen - all three of us agreed. That would have earned it a 10/10 in my book, instead of the 8-9 I'll give it. PS - The supreme does come with extra cheese though we said to just do regular, and we really liked it that way. One other thing, we noticed a cheese-only pizza next to us and all agreed that it looked unappealing, just flat and "blah," so toppings are definitely the way to go. Service was superb, and loved the outdoor seating deck seating overlooking the marina, way cool. And the inside had a very cool atmosphere as well, so would be glad to eat in there anytime as well. My family went here recently for dinner to celebrate a birthday since we were also visiting the arcade and heading over to play putt putt after our meal. They seemed to be very pleasant and helpful as far as accommodating our group of 6 kids and 7 adults. Our waitress was friendly and updated us regularly about how much longer it would be until our food arrived. Our experience was fine. My problem with this place was when 2 families arrived and were trying to be seated out on the deck. There was an empty table available, but the staff (not the waitress my group had) kept walking by the families and ignoring them every time one of the men tried to get their attention to ask if anyone could clean the table off so they could sit down and order their meal. Guess what? The families were Muslims, the women were wearing hijabs (look up the word if you need to). I finally excused myself from my family dinner, went and asked the men if they were having trouble getting seated. they said yes. I told them that I was going to go inside and see if I could get the situation resolved, they could join me if they wanted to. I go inside and ask the waitress I'd seen earlier working the section where the families were trying to be seated, she gave me a nasty look and in a pretty nasty tone told me "she was busy, she'd get to it eventually". I then asked for her manager, the manager gave me the same nasty, hateful response-they were busy, "those" people would just have to wait. I got the idea at this point-if they didn't clean the table off, they wouldn't have to serve a group of Muslims. I realize it's Franklin County and all, but come on! Two families with toddlers and babies in strollers wanted to have dinner at the lake. Wth kind of establishment are these people running? The two families left rather than get treated like that. We got into town yesterday afternoon and needed a place to eat. I wasn't sure what was in store when we came here. It's a hybrid bar/restaurant and our waitress wasn't very friendly. We ordered mozzarella sticks which weren't very good, but when our pizza came, I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was delicious and the dough was awesome. The dough had a pretzel taste. We arrived to the restaurant at 6:30, it was obvious there was a bit of a wait so we respected that, but I went into the actual building to ask about an estimated wait time. I stood at the counter waiting on someone to greet me or help me and I waited for about 15 minutes to even be noticed. Once I was greeted, I asked how long the wait would be and he said that they weren't giving wait times and it was a "first come, first serve" situation and to wait outside in the line and I would be helped as the line went through. So I returned to my post outside and waited for another 30 minutes, it being about 7:15 at this point. I noticed two families ahead of my group had been seated, so we would be next, and a family from inside had left. A man walked into the building, I had assumed inquire the same I did, but he had been in a while. I walked in as well, noticed the table the previous family had eaten at hadn't been cleaned yet, and I asked if we could seat ourselves since we were next in line. The man who walked in right before me told me he was holding the table and waiting, the waitress who was cleaning the table had known I was waiting this entire time yet didn't object to the man and allowed his family to sit, after having no wait, and I had been waiting for 45 minutes at that point. I returned outside to wait longer, and we didn't get seated until 7:45. Once seated and given a menu, the waitress barely checked on us, forgot we put in orders at all, and we didn't get our food until 8:30, all the while, customers who came in and were seated AFTER us, got their food BEFORE us. Once we finished, we asked for boxes to go and she never brought them, her manager had to finish waiting us out because she hadn't come back for the rest of the evening. We didn't get to pay and get out of the restaurant until 9:30. We had horrible services. Horrible wait times. And very rude staff. read more

The best part about this place is the dining room out on the deck which has a nice view of the lake. The worst part about this however is that it is always packed full of people during tourist season, which is the only time the outside area is open. You can eat inside all year long, but won't have as nice of a view, or a view at all depending on where you're seated. The service can be rather hit or miss. In the summer the waitresses are always swamped, and they have to carry your pizza across a walkway that is open to everyone, as it connects the decks together. It can be a bit crazy. The upside is you can take your kids there and no one is going to glare at you if they're being a bit loud outside. The pizza is good, nothing great, but certainly not bad either. They offer the normal variety of toppings and serve them on silver pedestal stands. If they're super busy expect a bit of a wait for your food though. read more

The waitress took our order the appitizers: Boardwalk Fries and Malt Vinegar (that never came) arrived about 20 minutes later. Our drinks were only refilled about 50 minutes after they arrived. The pizza's we were told about 45 minutes later were comming, but the kitchen was slow. Very bland pizza. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. They were the usual frozen in the bag sticks. The dip was just cold tomato paste. The sticks (6) were served in a basket with round basic tortilla chips. We were excited that the Italian sausage was crumbled and not sliced. However the sausage tasted like breakfast pork sausage. There were no Italian seasonings tasted. The entire pizza lacked taste. The crust looked like cardboard and also was bland. The scenery eating outside was beautiful.
