Got page mandarins? Yes, they do. As well as Satsumas right now. Last summer, I had the pleasure of enjoying their grapes which were delicious. It's too bad that I didn't learn about them until it was about halfway into the season. They had a variety of small grapes (champagne grapes) that were delicious and so easy to eat. Glad that I had the opportunity to enjoy them for two or three weeks. Right now, they are offering the above mentioned Mandarins. The flavors are strong though a bit on the tart side, likely due to the shortage of rain so far this season. I bought a couple of pomelos and will try them shortly. This week's CUESA newsletter says they won't be at the market today, I'll find out soon enough. This is the beauty in living in California, having fresh seasonal produce year round. While I haven't been to their actual farm location, I am a faithful visitor to their stand at the SF Ferry Building Farmers Market (they are out front to the left of the tower if you are facing it) and a BIG fan of their products. My faves? The organic almond butter - both roasted and raw - are incredible, and their Bing Cherry jam is to die for. I can't get enough of it. Tip: their products are available at Rainbow Grocery and other select other markets too! read more

Very little do I know about this ranch except they have some lovely table grapes. You can find them at Ferry Building on Sat. Whole Foods sometimes carry their fresh produce as well. read more

They have THE most delicious crunchy almond butter around! Their orchard is over 40 years old and is all organic. This is a real treat as are the table grapes and fruit spreads they sell as well. You can really taste the ripe fruit flavor in the bing cherry spread. John and Casey are such great people too! I think there is a lot of love going into what they do. I buy from them at the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market on Saturdays--just keep in mind they are seasonal so they might not always be there. When they are, they are in the back behind the Sur La Table store. read more
