During the entire time, not once was I asked to come in for a personal meeting as my condition worsened. I am a Design Engineer and design automotive components on a computer program. I was making 6 figures. $$. I I developed an intestinal condition. That blood markers said was an intestinal tumor, even though subsequent test could not locate a tumor. However, it wasn't the stomach that prevented me from working. It was the side affects from the condition. Which was extreme cramping. I couldn't even squeeze my computer Designing mouse without my hand cramping. I Can Not do my job without that ability. I can't use a keyboard for designing. After well over a year I was denied disability. But the explanation made no mention of the cramping issue. When I mentioned that to my lawyer, he requested a re-consideration. (No ability to say why). Months later, that was denied. The final stage (court hearing) came. & I was not coached at all as to the format, or what the judge was looking for. Also, no preliminary test on my ability to connect to the online hearing like I've had with other online appointments I've had. As a result, the Judge could not see me, only hear me. Even though I mentioned the cramping, I believe it was never presented by the lawyer. (Which was switched from my original Lawyer). & The new lawyer requested an additional 3 weeks from making a decision to allow for medical reports from recent Drs appointments,even though I've already submitted an inch thick medical report. I believe all that contributed to the final decision by the Judge denying my claim. My health has declined considerably since filing. I've lost about 35 lbs, since I'm not processing the vitamins & minerals I eat, the cramping issues have worsened. Had I been seen on occasion by your firm, you may have witnessed my decline.. As it is. Your firm declined any attempts to appeal that decision. As a final note. I would not have given over $100,000 for a quarter of that if I was able to continue. Nicole Laruwe was contacted by me during the final year, on 5/25/23, 1/25/23, and 2/7/23, asking for simple updates. Each time, she'd responded via email saying she would get back to me. Never did. Then she quit a few weeks later, and billed the PR tens of thousands of dollars. When I asked for a copy of total bill on 6/15/24, she refused and stated she already gave it to another sibling. I then wrote to Julie Paquette, who also refused and suggested I contact another lawyer to obtain the details of their undisclosed bill. Never met these humans in person, but clearly a law firm whose professionalism and kindness needs some work. Hopefull they can grow to realize that deceased famiiy estates are very sensitive issues, and empathy and mutual respect from day 1 is important, which was never noted by the majority of our family.

However the court clerk I was told by Lisa Stern of this firm that called her the date of the court date after it was held, that there was a court date...In which I received transcripts from where we of course were slaughtered by the other side. Because of this firms actions in which Lisa Stern told myself and other attorneys in Chicago we did not get a chance to respond in oral argument. At the time when I spoke with Kenneth Silver (potential misspelling) He claimed there was a divorce in our relationship and their firm was only doing a limited appearance. NOT true as the Chicago firm was well aware that Lisa Stern was advising us the entire process of a settlement and how to deal with the other side. Lisa Stern was also advising us that she was placing blame on the Chicago firm. Of course the firm had no problem billing us but when the stuff hit the wall and she advised us there was no court date (yet there was) they wanted out immediately and backtracked. This firm is going to protect themselves and NOT US or potentially the next client. This firm is unethical and I would not suggest hiring them. Deceptive practice at best is my opinion. THANKFULLY the Chicago firm was NOT incompetent and was ethical. Lisa Stern called me several months ago requesting that a local lawsuit attorney (Thomas Blaske) send her firm a letter stating they were going to sue her firm for missing the court date and telling the Chicago firm and myself that there was no court date. I have emails regarding this as well. She then called the Blaske firm on her behalf. She stated this would get her firm off our backs for the payment claimed owed along with the money that our family was rightfully owed ( shortened). This review is based on my opinions (families) and dealings with Kenneth Silver, Lisa Stern and the HertzSchram firm in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. Three weeks went by. I sent her 9 emails, left her 6 phone messages. Her assistant always claimed that Mary was "in a meeting" and would "call me back". She responded barely to my first email and never returned any of my calls. I had more information to give her and she was just not interested. At the three week mark I received a letter in the mail stating that they were too busy and had to "relinquish" me as a client. Do yourself a favor and avoid this firm at ALL COSTS!
