So to many of you that don't know, I have always really loved fitness and working out . So much that over the years I have tried various classes in yoga, boxing, and weight training etc. So I saw an ad for a "Fitness Study" in Seaford! For four weeks you can take as many classes as you want and they give you a list of foods to eat that are healthy. The purpose of this study is to show how much of a difference it is when you have fitness in your life. They take your weight and measurements and at the end of four weeks you see your results. This is my second week doing it, and every time I make it a point to go to different classes to learn more about fitness and do different workouts. So far I have taken six different classes .
So I took this one called today, on the schedule it was called "HIIT" . I went on their website to see what this class is about and saw they didn't provide it on their website no big deal I'll try it ! As I said this is my second week of my fitness study so I'm still pretty new to this, I took three different classes last week and took three different ones this week. (I took my inhaler before hand ) I'm doing great in the class but towards the end (the last twenty minutes of the class) I had an asthma attack . A very bad one. So I decided to push through it and continue my workout ,I slowed down the pace of the class for myself& took mini breaks when I needed but didn't give up . So now the owner of the place and instructor goes "come on keep up keep up" no big deal that is what instructors do to keep you going and than after that she goes "come on big foot let's go let's go" I turn around and I didn't think anything of it now she goes Big foot keep up the pace and said ok you have the biggest feet in this class keep up you can't slow down. A women even turned to me and said "Usually I am the one being picked on in class" Now I made it a point to take out my inhaler and use it twice because I was that out of breathe. While everyone is given the instructions to the next workout she offered an alternative for people that could not keep up but made it a point to single me out and say but not me I have to go full force. She then comes up to me and said "this is meant to raise your heart rate and drop. It is very advanced and not meant for beginners like you . She goes I want you to now go at your own pace and do it on your own, that way you come back tomorrow and that don't quit on me . And then when the class was over I asked what it stood for because I didn't know any better. Yes I fully understand the intensity of this now that I know it stands for High intensity interval training however I can not believe that a trainer would try to embarrass me by calling me names during her class and point me out . I just can not believe how an owner and instructor of her own place would be that unprofessional in that sense . read more
