I looked for testimonials about this supposed "psychic" before shelling out the $350 she charged to see me. WIsh someone had yelped about her prior to me going. but, my friend had gone to her a few years back, and said she was actually legit. i had been to one other psychic previously, trying to get more information about my brother and his death. the first psychic i went to was a complete sham, so i was hoping Kim would be for real. well, she wasnt.
i had signed up on her waiting list two years prior to the random call i got from someone that i assume to be her husband/business manager, saying that they had an opening. i had almost forgotten that i had even put myself on the list, and thought that maybe it was a sign or something, so i bit the bullet and made the appointment.
im given the address and told to follow the directions posted on the front door. i pulled up to a modest house in a modest neighborhood with a lexus in the driveway. i get there 10 minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment time. the sign on the front door says, "please wait outside until you are called in. please do not knock" i can hear people inside talking. a woman and a man. im thinking thats kim doing her session, right there in her living room. so im waiting and waiting. at one point i contemplate knocking just bc im pregnant and have to pee and it had been 25 mins already and i thought maybe she had forgotten she had another appointment. but i dont dare knock. after 45 f-ing minutes, someone FINALLY comes out. the previous appointment left, and this overly made up woman with high hair, fake nails, and way too much make-up introduced herself as kim. no apology for the wait.
im escorted into her dining room, which sits at the front of the house, off to the right of the front door. thats where she was sitting with the man she saw before me, and thats who i could hear talking when i was outside. there's money on the table, hundreds and fifties, all over the place. the house is kind of messy and just, disorganized. she seems unengaged, and is counting her money in front of me. the phone rings, then her blackberry rings. then some yappy dog starts barking off and on. this pretty much set the tone for the entire "reading".
i dont like to give out too much information to psychics bc i feel that if theyre legitimate they wont need so much information. typically they will GIVE you information that you can either confirm or deny, thus helping them work through the information they are receiving from spirits or whatnot. anyway, her questions were very vague, just like the last psychic i saw. she was able to tell me that i was having a girl, but in all honestly she had a 50% chance of getting that one right. anyway, i dont have the time to get into the specifics, but i was able to tape record the session which helped a lot.
the entire reading didnt offer me much of anything. after i divulged my family situation to her, and the fact that i am estranged from them, she told me that my mother was crazy. ummm ok......? i just felt like all the information she told me was waaaaayyy to vague. and there was one piece of information she told me that my brother "from the other side" had supposedly kept showing her, a photo of the two of us on the beach with sunglasses on. first of all, no such photo exists. secondly, that there scene she described is bound to be one of the most common photos that family members have with one another, so again, she just kept pulling out very vague statements that were WRONG. she also made some comment about me having some aunt or something who had died and whose name began with a "MA". again, a very common start of a name spelling: maria, mary, etc. everyone has SOMEONE in their family named mary or maria. except for me, of course.
anyway, i left feeling completely defeated. at one point i just wanted to run out the door with my $350, bc i knew she was fake and ripping people off. its just not right.
afterwards, i had my friend who had seen as well at another point in time listen to the audio tape. originally my friend had encouraged me to see this woman. but, now after listening to the audio, she found it really strange that this supposed psychic had given both of us some of the same lines. like, the thing about an aunt with the name spelled with "m". and there were several other things that she had told me in my reading, that she had told my girlfriend in her reading.
listen, i want to, i need to believe that when someone dies they arent gone forever. i do truly believe that some people are psychic, and some people can connect with loved ones who have died. but, this woman isnt a psychic. she's a business woman who takes money from people and feeds them lies. people like that are just scumbags. and so, im writing this review in the hopes that someone is, like me, who is considering going to this woman, will save their money read more
