Perhaps my previous review was too harsh. They were a very good person to talk to and I felt they handled my situation with empathy and understanding. It was clear that they were compassionate and skilled in unpacking complex situations with people. I have gone to 2 reiki sessions with Kali and I left both of them feeling more confident and aware. I went into this experience very open minded but slightly skeptical, as I'm not the most spiritual person in the world, and she has made me aware of imbalances in my energy levels. Whether it's realizing i'm spending a lot of time focusing on the future with my relationship and friendships and less about the present, or whether I have a lot to confront with regard to my ancestory and culture, she's pulling out things that are buried deep, but that are easy to acknowledge and talk through with her. I don't interpret her skills as one where she is supposed to 'predict' big moments in ones lives (she's not a fortune teller) but rather she is expected to sense shifts in your energy, and go from there. She regularly states that reiki alone is not an end all be all, and suggests meditation and therapy as ways to really improve ones mindfulness and senses. Let me just preface with the fact that Kali is extremely gifted in every sense of the word. I don't follow healers blindly. She has given me information that other, much older guru types have given me as well, but packaged much differently. I've gone to see her several times for Reiki and she is great at cleansing and moving the energy along. But beyond that, she has a raw gift. She picks up on so much during our sessions. She's predicted things that I couldn't even guess for myself and for a friend of mine (without the tarot). I think she's given me the most information without the tarot reading- just from picking things up. (ie, she said I'd be working with international clients - I'm a real estate broker - and 3 days later, I get a message on Linkedin from someone who wanted to refer clients to me. The contract was signed 6 weeks later and we are closing in a month. They were all Canadian. I couldn't make this up. She also said I'd be going on a trip somewhere nature-filled. I had 2 trips planned for Miami and Bahamas. She said that wasn't it. I ended up cancelling them, but my friend invited me to Martha's Vineyard out of nowhere - where we were hiking and all that nature-y goodness for a week.) I go to Lalit for readings and education. They are very professional and yet relaxed, I could tell that lalit was taking me seriously and taking what they do seriously and this made me comfortable there. Lalit also provides a service for those who wish to learn more about tarot itself. With Lalit I learn about the cards, some history and mechanisms for reading, and seeing. Because of the nature of their readings I've been learning also about alchemy. I learn pretty quickly and have my own intuitive understanding for things, and i find that lalit adapts to me; the pace is very natural. I feel Lalit genuinely cares about the spreading of information, and knows how necessary it is and how powerful it can be and I believe that is a pretty big driving force behind their work moreso than money or ego or anything like that. I try not to write bad reviews but I think I will share my experience with Kali ma because in retrospect, it was pretty funny. So, I believe I went to see her in November of 2015. Had pretty specific questions regarding my job, career and of course love life. It felt really good talking with her at that time, but she was not able to "predict" any of the big changes that unfolded in my life next few months. Example: I got pregnant in December , got fired from job in January, got married in February, moved to another city and had a child. All very big - life changing events. For a person who has the ability to even sense what's gonna/might happen to another person, I would expect her at least to be able to sense/predict these big life events, that too in the next few months. I am not asking you to predict what's gonna happen after ten years. To be honest, I learnt my lesson to never ever go to any tarot card reader or astrologer because no one can ever predict what's going to happen in the future. It's nice to experience smell of incense and a black cat giving out some mysterious vibes , but I would advice you to keep your $$ and spend it on a pair of shoes if you are feeling low.
