This is not an adult daycare this is a community of functioning adults that get the opportunity to make decisions to better their own lives. The structure of the entire organization is based with WE and US. This mentality of leadership and education allows for these students to learn real world, real life, tangible decision making qualities that are missed very often for others in their situations. I cannot express enough how enthralled I was to watch the interactions with the staff and the students. The care provided here is easily the best in the state and I highly recommend that anyone looking for educational services for any person with special needs, to stop by and talk to these incredible people!

The school strongly emphasizes academics and kids are given letter/percentage grades like high schools do. Yes there's pressure but nothing we can't handle so far. My complaints: 1. De-prioritization of physical activity. You have to put your child in an after school club (more money) for dance, bowling, and other movement-based activities. I had the opportunity to volunteer to help with hot lunch once. I learned a lot. Like just how short lunch is; it explained why my daughter was hungry but had uneaten food in her lunch last semester. Volunteering has opened my eyes and I started packing her lunches a little differently 2. It's a charter school so they have to raise money. However, the fundraiser updates in the app are ridiculous. Class vs class, grade vs grade. Everyone hurry and donate before the deadline...use the AZ tax credit...oh the deadline has been extended so you can donate more (no surprise) None of the issues I mentioned are major to me. Why? Because my kindergartener is reading, can read digital and analog clocks, she can add double-digit numbers, etc but her friends who are in 1st and 2nd grade in TUSD schools aren't there yet. The academic advantage Basis provides is unparalleled without attending an expensive private school But there are pros and cons to each school and I've included a couple for potential parents considering the school

I just had a concerning conversation with her regarding her science class today. There was a movie…read moreshowed and she expressed that she was very uncomfortable and the teacher quickly dismissed her and forced her to watch this video or go the principal's office. Now this sounds a lot like bullying to me from the teachers to student. If a student concerns, uncomfortable, and would like to leave the room they should, am I wrong? Now this has been going on all year and I've been quiet about it. I'm not pleased with the staff nor the faculty on how they pursue my daughter into wanting her to change instead of developing her strengths the way that needs to be done and I feel really awful and shameful for bringing her to the school. I will never recommend Basis. I hope you guys change the way that you view your students they are not robots. They are human beings and if they feel uneasy about a situation, they have the right to speak up.

I just feel that not all disability is a disability, and that it may just be the way the world looks at it. Chapel Haven West was not a bad place, it's the medical system that I don't like. I may have some disagreements or even feel that they don't understand. I realize that it takes a certain kind of awareness to understand. I still learned a lot about my self. I felt pretty different. I was older and there was a lot of immaturity. It was a fun adventure.

I am truly blown away by the progress my son has made. My son turned 2 in December, and just five…read moredays later he started at Childtime. From the very beginning, I was amazed at how comfortable he became in such a short amount of time. Within three weeks, he confidently walks to his seat and tells me a sweet "bye, mama!" every morning. What really stands out is the level of education and communication. We receive weekly lesson plans, and I love seeing how much he's learning--things like shadows and light, and even animals I didn't realize he knew. He's surprised me at least three times already by talking about new animals at home! The staff is incredibly kind and genuinely makes my little guy feel loved and supported. This experience has completely changed my day at work, knowing he is in a school environment, not just daycare. Throughout the day, I receive photos, meal updates, and diaper change notifications, which gives me such peace of mind. They post so many sweet moments that I honestly forget to check the cameras--yes, they even have those too! I want to personally thank Dee, Arlette, Mary, Evette, Mari, Michelle, and Mosesta, along with the entire crew at East River. Your care, patience, and dedication truly do not go unnoticed, and I am so grateful for everything you do each day. I am beyond happy with my choice and couldn't recommend Childtime more. 10/10 recommend. My boys are excited to leave for school everyday and have happy faces when we go to pick them up. Friendships, creativity and responsibilities are fostered at this center and my boys have already learned so much from the short 5 months they have been here. The director is one of the nicest people I have ever met and the teachers throughout the school are wonderful and kind. Weekly lesson plans are posted for parents to see and cultivate actual learning rather than simply babysitting. My eldest is going to Kinder in the Fall and I am saddened he will not return for the upcoming school year but my youngest will be back after the Summer and I cannot be happier. ***I am a teacher myself so I know good educators when I see them***

PCC have an on base center in Davis-Monthan AFB. Wrong, anyone who wants to take classes here can actually do, whether you're a base ID holder or just a common citizen. All you have to do is provide them your information or whichever it is they needed from you. You can do all this and get some information at the welcome center at craycroft gate. The classes they have here are mostly nights which works out perfectly with your schedule. They also offer accelerated classes (classroom and online) ranging from 8-16 weeks class period. The professors i had so far are very well informed, nice; and class to teacher ratio is superb, which is a plus for me. This facility can also assure you that by the end of the day the car you left on the parking lot with the widows down will still be there ^_^ *awesomeness*

He rarely was upset with drop offs but when he was the teachers did a great job redirecting him and providing him love. They had a lot of fun stuff to do there. The have fun extra things on some weekends. They also worked with the school district to get my child eval for an IEP. At the end of the day I went there after a week vacation and my child no longer had the same teacher again. So I didn't really know the new teacher at all. The guy working on the playground was also new and other new staff I just took that opportunity to just take my child out. I also wanted to mention I posted a review previously here when my daughter was still going here and just mentioning a "few small complaints but over all that I loved this place." And 3 stars. It was followed by the Risa in the front office calling me and screaming at me for about 20 minutes. Followed by nagging from other staff to take the review down. Also my complaint was about like basically all my child's teachers leaving. Obviously left a bad taste in my mouth. And the fact that my name isn't even on here and neither is my child's. Our interaction with Amy Dushinski, the nurse practitioner and their highest-level provider, was deeply unsettling. It appeared her eyes were dilated, and she seemed paranoid, agitated, and defensive--behavior that made us question whether she was in the right frame of mind to help others. Amy couldn't explain why I was being denied services. She denied that they offer LGBTQ care, even though it is explicitly stated in their brochure. I apologized to my partner for taking off work and wasting their time, because we have to take off a lot of days off for doctors appointments due to disability. Amy became hostile, inserting herself into our conversation. She even threatened to withhold my medication if I kept advocating for myself. When I asked Amy for her business card, she got really aggravated and upset. I wanted to file a complaint against her. When I called a week later to file a complaint, the receptionist shockingly redirected me to Amy, who immediately hung up on me. This clinic is neither LGBTQ-friendly nor professional. Their highest-level provider is a nurse practitioner (Amy), not a psychiatrist or psychologist. Doctors with advanced degrees have far more education, training, and expertise to address mental health needs. Avoid this clinic at all costs.
