Meet the Business Owner: Larissa T.
Hello, my name is Larissa Tobar I’m from Colombia. My husband Julio and I met in Bogota, Colombia, at Dental school. We worked as dentists in Pereira, Colombia, for 6 years. Then, we decided to move to California in 1998, looking for a better future for our kids. We have 3 boys (now adults with their own families).
At first, we started working as dental assistants and tried to obtain our Dentist licenses for California. After passing the first board test, we realized it was expensive and would take a few years. The boys were already starting middle and high school.
I decided to go back to school, I knew I loved working with kids and providing a service for families. I also wanted to be close to my kids and working from home so I decided to start my own Family Child Care. We opened our Family Child Care in Mission Viejo on June 1, 2000, and moved to Ladera Ranch on December 5, 2005.
We love our job!
