Had my hair cut at the Lad Barber Shop twice in the last couple of years while visiting Rockwall. Both times I went in the morning without an appointment and the next barber up gave me a great haircut! I let my hair get long and thick before I get motivated for a cut so my hair is not easy to cut. In fact my hair is so thick that I create new hair styles when I sleep at night and fashion photographers should be ready every morning in my bedroom to capture the new look when I wake up! Easy to find location off of I-30, free parking and $17 for a men's cut. Five Stars! read more

Awesome tacos great service flavorful jugos. We're from south Texas and know tacos. Trust us

Came in for my son's first haircut. There is no check in, so just sit on the long bench and keep track of where in line you are. All barbers do all cuts and just take whoever is next. The gentleman who cut my son's hair asked if I wanted to sit in the chair and hold him to keep him calm and happy which I thought was awesome. He put the capes on both of us and talked to my son in a kind manner. A 1 year old sat still and had fun getting his hair cut. Miracle. Thank you for being professional and kind in a situation that could've been frustrating for both you and us. And the haircut looks great! read more

This place is top-notch! I have had my hair cut by many people here and every time it is done perfect. The ladies that work here are very sweet and personable. This is an actual barber shop where they use a razor to clean you up. On top of all of this their haircuts are at a great price. I highly recommend this location! I went to Lad's Barber Shop in the summer of 2015. It was blazing hot outside and I decided to cut all my hair off into a flat top. I went into Lad's and OkHui was my barber. I told her I wanted to try a flat top even though my hair was pretty long and the last time I'd had a haircut was 3 months ago and it wasn't a flat top. She was very kind and understanding even asking me if I was sure I wanted to do this. 20 minutes or so later, I had a Bum Phillips style flat top. I had been nervous as hell and second guessing myself during the entire haircut. When she finished, she picked up the mirror to see myself with my new "look". I immediately calmed down. I looked great. I told her that she had done a great job and I liked the haircut. She commented that she liked the new look also because it looked good on me and was "very clean". When I left the shop, there was a breeze outside and I noticed that I didn't have enough hair to be blowing in the wind. My head felt 10 pounds lighter. I went back to her several times after that for "maintenance" haircuts every couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I had to move to Houston for a new job and couldn't keep going back to that shop. Anytime that I'm back in the Dallas area, I intend to visit Lad's Barber Shop. It's a great shop. read more

I just moved here so I needed to find a barbershop....well, found it! Got an excellent cut in a cool family style atmosphere for a reasonable price. Don't forget to tip your barber read more

Always friendly and great cuts. Price is cheaper than anywhere else. Only thing that I wish would be improved is a better system on who is next in line. Overall always a good experience. read more

DO NOT GO HERE this place gives the worst haircuts and every one is so rude they charged me 75 dollars for a trim. do not recommend

All I want is a good old-fashioned haircut, and this is IT! See Fran. Military flavor to environmental and Fox on TV.

My 5 yo LOVES this place! Priscilla is so great with him. We have had several of the salon artists cut his hair, but I love her cuts the most. She takes her time and is very precise with her trims. I can only imagine how hard it could be to cut my little wiggle worms' hair, but she does it effortlessly and it turns out great each time! We will be back again and again! read more

Conservative, old-school, cash/check-only barbershop. They cut hair well and for a decent price. We just moved to town and were looking for a place to go regularly for haircuts, and we found one! read more

If you like barbers that still put a razor to your neck at the end with a little hot shaving cream- then run, not walk, run here. Everything about this place made me think of the barbers I have had as a kid or in the military. They do a fantastic job of cutting hair too. Figure a ten to thirty minute wait most of the time, but so worth it. Oh, and they have a guy that does shoe shines. Seriously. read more

I stopped in here as a walk-in after getting a pedicure at Nail Luxe down the street, and took the first barber who was available, which was OkHui. She did a great job on my hair, trimmed my beard and eyebrows. Really a better job than I've gotten in hair salons closer to home. I'll be a regular here! read more

Excellent service and cuts! Worth the wait! Everyone is friendly. They really listen to what kind of cut you want and can deliver!

Lisa did a great job on my husband's hair. Excellent work, clean establishment, and boy does it have character! He has been here twice so far. This is the go-to! read more

Lad Barber Shop - Love the decor. Lisa rocks. - Barbers Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

Terrible experience! My son looks like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber, and I had the worst haircut of my life. I asked her not to cut too much off the top, and she chopped off almost an inch. Then she said, "I'm sure it'll grow back" I will never go back there again. read more

Ended up here due to issues at another barber shop, and very glad I did! Everyone was friendly and I even had a great conversation with another gentlemen there. Priscilla cut both my son and my hair and did a fantastic job! She has a great personality and managed to nail my sons notoriously difficult double cow-lick directly in the front center of his head. Best job anyone has ever done on his hair, and mine as well -- we'll be back! read more

The workers where sitting down couldn't even tell if they where workers or not, not very polite and and demanding didn't even ask how many inches i wanted off just started cutting, one side is uneven to the other awful service. read more

Very cool US, military, and first responder environment and really friendly people, barbers and customers alike. There may be a bit of a wait because this place is popular but the clients in when I was there were nice and talked with us. I was very satisfied with the service and the price is great. I got a cut exactly as I described, beard trim that looked amazing and the hot cream neck shave that is nearly obsolete nowadays. Highly recommend this place. read more

Laura offered to cut my sons hair, and rather than sharing she had 2 families and 5 cuts before us, we patiently waited. It was incredibly rude to not share that we could have taken the next stylist. After saying something... I endured Spanish conversation with the other patrons. Si hablo no hablo... picked the next available stylist... by the time we were done, Laura was still cutting her party. We no talk about Laura. read more

The fact that they show so much respect for our military gets this shop 20 stars. I love this place

After 10 years I am done. Today was the final time: today I made sure all the people that were there when I came in were serviced before I went. Then Fran says she isn't good at the military cut I wanted so back to the bench to wait. Then the next hairdresser whom walked in after me and styled 2 customers whom were there before me, told me I was not next that the gentlemen that came in about 5 minutes after me was next, now all the other ladies said they didn't know whom was next before that. And of course since he was a car salesman he didn't correct her I can only assume since he presented himself as the sales manager at Plano Kia he must have thought it was his right. So I will have to find another barbershop that will treat people fairly by their own rules. If it ain't first come, first served, then don't post it in your shop. read more

Rustic barbershop with several station and a laid back staff ready to lower your ears! We live in Plano and we're in the neighborhood when my son was overdue for a haircut, so here we are and they did a great job, may make the trip back to see Fran! Bonus watch some Fox news while you wait and get your American military pride on! read more

I have been going here for 15 years. Last month they raised their prices by 25 %, 12 to 15 during a downturn. NO MORE, USE YELOWJACKET.

Ohki is my favorite barber ever! I would drive into the city for Floyd's 99 until I came across Lad barbershop. Ohki was so friendly and does magic with my hair. She's a master with thinning my hair. I've got cowlicks if not handled properly make my hair stick up rather than lay flat. Great place but be sure to have cash. They don't accept cards. read more

Not very customer oriented. Maybe focus on quality customer service. When people spend their money they prefer to be treated well.

My first time here and I wad impressed. I went on a Friday around lunch time and there was no wait. Great fade and warm neck shave. Jojo was the barber who cut my hair. She didn't have much to say but knows how to cut hair. Cost was $12 which is awesome. I'll be going back read more

Lads is your typical old fashion barber shop. The barbers are friendly and have their own clients but walk ins are always welcome. Fran probably has the most regulars. read more

Most of the ladies give a decent haircut. The wait times however are way too long- nearly an hour. The place is rarely fully staffed except on Saturday. Have had to walk out 3x because only 3 or 4 barbers were on duty ad i simply could wait an hour. Place could use a good cleaning too. read more

Fran is awesome! I have paid as much as 40 dollars for a haircut at OTHER places and Fran cuts it for $9 is is the best time over time.
