I told him I never want him to retire because no one will ever come close to his skill level. On top of that, his nurses are some of the most wonderful, understanding sweethearts you could ever hope to have. They are so so so thorough and caring that they made me feel so comfortable and no question I had was too silly. They answered everything I asked them. I even moved away from Michigan and flew back to have Dr. Hammond work on me and where I live is surrounded by plastic surgeons but he is so top notch there is no way I could trust anyone else. would give him and his staff 1,000 stars if I could!

I am out of state and passing a dozen other surgeons on may way to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for Pete's sake! Well, my well planned virtual visit, easily scheduled in person meeting for sizing, and my pre-op appointment for marking were professional, thorough, and left me feeling like I was in the most capable hands. Anna, his medical assistant, is so kind and reassuring. She does an amazing job of making sure all is running smoothly for each appointment and answered any questions that I had. The front desk staff are kind, helpful, and make the most of your time. The rooms are private, clean and comfortable. I met a medical student at my initial appointment, as well as two others during my marking appointment. Dr. Hammond made made so many notes on exactly how he was going to perform my surgery, that even I was impressed by his level of detail and felt very important. He is professional, thorough, and very sure he can deliver on his promises. Surgery day arrived and I was treated like the only patient on the planet. Dr. Hammond came in to check on me and go over the plan. The surgery team (Karen was awesome) was concerned and answered all my questions after going over my plan, the surgery center is state of the art and private, and my husband was kept up to date on each stage of my procedure. And yet another plastic surgeon was in my surgery, learning from the master! I found out afterward that Dr. Hammond had taken extra time to ensure my results were what he had promised. I got to see video from my procedure directly post-op, and he spoke with my husband and I about the entire decision process. I admit that I was a little doubtful that his SAFE augmentation protocol could really leave me almost painless, able to return to normal activity the next day. I expected to be unable to raise my arms, hug my family, or even pull up my hair on my own. I am happy to admit, I was wrong! My family kept having to remind me that I had just had surgery! I went back to work five days later and had no issues taking only Tylenol for a few days. I'm over the moon with my choice in surgeon and staff. My results are more than I could have asked for, and I will continue to recommend Partners In Plastic Surgery to those who won't settle for anything but perfection.

After my first visit with him, he recommended MRI scans as well as a back brace. Only to wait a month for them to get the authorization in for my insurance. And what is worse is that I reached out to them multiple times asking for updates and it always goes to voicemail. It is as if they are ignoring my calls. Ive also left multiple voicemails to call back and Ive only gotten one call back. Also after getting in touch with my insurance they informed me that there has been no request for authorization from them about the back brace. So not only did they lie saying they submitted it but also lied saying that we were waiting for insurance authorization. In all honestly after waiting so long I have decided I will not be returning due to the inconvenience. I would also not recommend this place to anyone. Dr. Vasiu does not take time to listen to his clients. He constantly talks and does not give you time to respond or express your own concerns. I would not recommend this place and insist on looking elsewhere.

He suggested a minimally invasive surgery instead, which I decided to go with. I had a full ACL replacement but was back on the court in just 4 months. I was able to play the entire season this year with virtually no pain or issues. I worked hard during recovery, but his expertise made all the difference. Highly recommend him for anyone facing surgery especially ACL related.

Hands down, the best physical therapy I've been to - and I've been to quite a few - from sports med…read moreat Rush in Chicago to Mary Free Bed. They simply don't make therapists like Scott anymore. He uses his hands to work out the kinks and knows that this muscle leads to that bone or that fascia. He listens to you and then shows you why and how something is affecting you on the skeleton. Lower back pain? Well that is really in your calves... and sure enough, it is. He also provides you with instruction on how to work on it when you're at home. Beware, when he works on you it can be painful! But that's because the kneading needs to happen. Scott has been my go-to person ever since my leg went numb after a walk and no doctors could figure it out. He found it in my hip. Then I continued to see him after a cycling crash that broke and dislocated my elbow and broke my jaw in two spots. He was able to get my arm nearly straight... so much so my elbow surgeon at Rush had to run out and get his camera to take pictures. Then he was also able to work on my TMJ. Then after all that, I ended up with a brain infection - but Scott was helping me get through that when so much of it seemed physical (started in neck, then right side lost coordination). He's a true healer and I now go to him maybe every 6 months for a "tune up." I'm a runner so I inherently ended up with some pain or lack of motion because I'm not stretching my calves or strengthening my hips and he'll get me back in the right direction. As a runner and cyclist, I've probably been to a dozen therapy places over the years - I feel like they're all the same. They see what the diagnosis is... then they print some exercises from a book and have you squeeze a towel while they walk away to look at someone walking on a treadmill or use an ultrasound to make a few extra dollars in the bill. I wish I wasn't an old dog, because of his work, I'd be interested in doing the same work. It works.
