What a blessing in disguise. She spent plenty of time listening and evaluating as she began treatment. All I can say is "Wow!" It almost felt like a miracle for I've never had an adjustment plus and in a couple of hours say I feel 100%. But that is exactly what happened. I couldn't sleep before because of the discomfort, but in that one session I had no discomfort anymore. I would definitely recommend Dr. Byrne's office and Dr. Laura Grimm. I live in Florida most of the time, but when I'm in Michigan I will make this an annual trek to get my body tuned back into shape. I'm amazed.

Doctor after doctor, test after test could find no reason for the intense pain. I was at the point of begging doctors to just amputate my lower leg to stop the agony I was in. My spouse is a physician & knew of Dr. Lowery. I was nervous having never been to a Chiropractor. Dr. Lowery took the time to review my reports and his gentle & caring confidence calmed my nerves. They gave me a full spine x-ray and he knew immediately what was wrong. He carefully explained, showing us on the x-ray and my spouse finally saw what every other physician was missing. He gently explained what he was going to do to adjust my lower spine. At this point I could barely walk even with a cane and pain medication. Dr. Lowery manipulated by spine and with a quick snap the intense nerve pain was gone. It was like he had flipped an electrical switch. My foot numbness started to subside almost immediately. I was able to walk out of Lowery Chiropractic without a cane and without pain. Now it is 4 months since I began seeing him and I have my life back. I am still healing with my nerve having been under assault for so long but with each day and each treatment I get stronger. I will be forever grateful to Dr Lowery and his kind staff.

I was very sick: heart and digestive problems. Dr. John tested me with state-of-the-art equipment that properly determined that my problem (panic attacks, anxiety, etc.) was caused by a slow parasympathetic system. My thyroid was the 'gist of my problems. It was causing the digestive and heart problems... and the panic/anxiety. Dr. John put me on a 12-visit nutritional program where he monitors what I eat, muscle tests me for what my body needs, and prescribes a catered nutritional supplementary whole-food program based on what he found. I have been visiting Dr. John for about 6 months. The result? My panic attacks and anxiety are gone. My heart problems are no more... I am able to work out again. My digestive problems are gone too. I will be a customer for life!!! My wife saw the changes in me. She is now going as well - for other reasons. It was determined that she is allergic/sensitive to gluten, as many people are. We have transitioned to gluten-free foods. Health is Wealth. Dr. John is not expensive, not when compared to the alternatives: emergency rooms, medical expenses, etc. I've been down that road... one trip to the emergency room set me back $5,000!!! Dr Gostine has been wonderful to work with, he truly makes me feel as if we are partners in my journey. Just when I have lost hope because my body's falling apart too fast, he comes in the room and shows me what he's doing with stem cell research and tells me to hold on, insurance has to cover it sooner or later! He gave me just what I needed that day, Hope. He offers me new and different treatments as they become available and are appropriate. He works with me when I present him with issues I have to find solutions. The nurses are also very kind and helpful too. You actually get to know certain nurses pretty well because you deal with the same ones all the time, so they know you which is incredibly helpful- especially if your having a painful day and are having a hard time putting words together. Really everyone is nice. It must be a good place to work because there are a lot of people that have been there longer than I have. Some things that they have done for me that were not requested by me, but I truly was touched and appreciate are: When A surgery I had ended up leaving me with mobility issues Dr Gostine was concerned and sent me for a second opinion. When one of the other doctors heard of a trial for a new sleep medicine, he presented it to me and got me in it. He remembered that I get very little if any R.E.M. Sleep and have other sleep issues as well. I have seen other doctors in the practice and mid levels. I have been to physical therapy and behavioral therapy there, too. So yes, I would highly recommend Michigan Pain Consultants to anyone who is looking to find a place to help you in your search to find balance with your pain.

I never knew that there is a difference between regular chiropractors and chiropractors that deal with the nervous system. I had no idea that chiropractic care could help children with ADHD and ear infections (wish I knew that sooner). During my tour a parent let me watch their child get adjusted, which was much different than what I expected. The little boy was excited and it was almost a game where he said "bonk" every time he was adjusted. After the tour they went over all of my health concerns and - one of the things that I appreciate the most- they set my expectation. I had always thought that if you see a chiropractor a couple of times it will get rid of neck and back pain. They let me know this wasn't going to be a quick fix and that it will take some time and religion for the cause of my pain to be corrected. The coolest thing about this office- the doctor's report- I've never had a doctor take time out of their schedule to teach me about my health and how I can stay as healthy as possible! I can't recommend this office highly enough! This is one of the best decisions I've ever made for my health!
