Instead of listening to my concerns or communicating respectfully, I felt like I was treated as an inconvenience from the beginning. Even more concerning, important information was not accurately communicated to my healthcare providers. When I attempted to clarify the facts and correct the misinformation, I was met with hostility rather than a willingness to resolve the issue. Instead of addressing my concerns or taking responsibility for the communication breakdown, I was dismissed from the practice. Being removed as a patient simply for trying to ensure my medical information was accurate is deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about how patient concerns are handled. Every patient deserves to be treated with respect, to have accurate information communicated to their provider, and to be able to advocate for themselves without fear of retaliation. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Even more important to us is his genuine care and concern for his patients. He takes the time to fully examine, explain, and answer questions. He is able to talk openly and listen to his patients. He explains in terms that I, as a patient, can understand. His office is easy to locate and is well kept. The staff has been friendly and helpful as well. We came to him for a second opnion from our podiatrist. He has been a tremendous help in our complicated foot journey and has gone above and beyond. He looks out for his patients. We have been very impressed! We highly recommend him and his staff!

This location is super convenient because they also have an Urgent Care center and a lab (Although it gets a little confusing because it's easy to assume the lab is actually run by the doctors but it's slightly different billing/administration).

Dr. Cheek was so informative and took the time to tell me what I did to my shoulder and what it would take to get it back to mobility with no pain. It has been 4 months and I have no pain! The office staff were always friendly and the medical staff were 99% on time! I won't think twice about going to Shoreline Orthopaedics if I have to have surgery in the future. Then I had something happen while vacationing that confirmed that I had the access to the best care in West Michigan through this office. After falling on a rock and doing serious tissue and muscle damage as well as exposure to unknown pathogens I had to fly 17 hours back to GR arriving on a Sunday and waited to call Dr McCorry's office Monday morning. He asked me to come in immediately and gave me the medical attention my situation required to head off infections and further damage due to potential blood clots. They began a comprehensive treatment plan that found me seeing the specialists that could diagnose and treat my wounds and carefully monitored my progress over several weeks. It is my belief that without that continued support and immediate care my situation could have easily resulted in nerve damage and serious infections. Dr. Bowes was my original provider here and he is great, but a little quick and often out delivering babies. I recently switched to Jamie, a PA at this office, and she's amazing. She provides great care, listens to all of my concerns and questions, and is open, warm, and nonjudgmental. I highly recommend Jamie and hope she sticks around at Grand Rapids Women's Health for a long time so I can continue to have her as my provider. I've never had any issues with billing, appointments, or anything else. Plus they have a parking lot that they validate, and it's close to my house. Definitely will continue to seek care here as long as I can!
