My 20 daughter went in for her annual physical and vacinations that she set up the previous year in advance. They took her card ran it and gave her great service until the bills started coming in the mail. No! i went right there. They said that is odd. Well, after the run arround they finely just decided to say well Dr. doesn't accept Priorty Health Spectrum and said the patient should of researched before her appointment. Well returning client? So before you go to the Doctor you better make sure they still take your insurance because they apparently do not know in house what they accept day to day. So, back at college no Doctor to call while sick They want to know how she wants to pay. Well what part of 0 income college student. Well she can make payments. Super, she will graduate in 2021 and then hopefully be employed right away then she can start paying you for your clerical error nobody will own up to. So sad all about your account number and money$$$ forgot she was a patient and is a human and does have insurance that is paid a high montly premium on. Sad sad sad love the doctors but obviously all about $$& and not the person. In the mean time, her twin sister is holding off seeing her Doctor there in fear of same issue. So, I hate to say after a great Doctor patient relationship we have to start all over Doctor shopping. So before returning for each and every appointment make sure you havent had an error done on your account and slapped with a bill that never should of occurrd. Very very disappointed

Unfortunately my 13 year old and I walked away very disappointed with Dr Veenema. We did not feel listened to or cared about. If you are looking for a caring pediatrician that treats with compassion look elsewhere.

We have been taking our children to Alger Pediatrics since birth in 1999. Sadly Dr. Daining…read moreretired. We had a good rapport with our pediatrician, Daining, who respected us as parents, and did not force us to vaccinate our child with vaccines we didn't feel were right for our children. We aren't anti-vax, we just do not agree with all of them on the market. Tonight, we saw his replacement, Dr. Jeremy Veenema. Our daughter has some serious health issues we needed to discuss. We knew she'd needs a specialist and we knew she need additional bloodwork. And Dr. Jeremy agreed. We sat with him for over an hour discussing a game plan, getting labs wrote up and a specialist ordered; and at the end of the appointment he brings up the fact that our child doesn't have an MMR vaccination. (Our child is 14, mind you.) He proceeds to tell us that he made a vow when he started at Alger Pediatrics in May 2021 that all of his patients will be vaccinated or they will have to find another doctor. So after wasting over an hour of our time, and of course billing insurance for this doctors appointment, we now need to find a new pediatrician. The fact that he wasted our time, pretended to care about our child, yet KNEW she does not have one vaccination, is outrageous!!! He did this all so he could get paid by insurance for this Dr visit - how disgusting!! If Dr. Jeremy Veenema already decided going into our appointment he no longer wanted to be our child's pediatrician because she's lacking ONE vaccination, we could've been told this over the phone and saved ourselves all of this wasted time and energy. Because now, there's no point in continuing on with Alger Pediatrics despite his trying to gloss this dismissal over by saying he is "still willing to help us get to the root of these issues right now, but afterwards we need to find a new doctor". Alger pediatrics is not the same since good doctors like Dr. Daining retired! If you don't intend to have your child fully vaccinated, do NOT waste your time coming here! If you believe, as parents, you should have a say in your child's medical care, do NOT go to Alger Pediatrics. Over 22 years of loyalty tossed aside like a snotty Kleenex. Alger Pediatrics should be ashamed of themselves!!

After getting bite on the face by a large dog, my six-year-old daughter and I were dropped off by a good friend on a Sunday morning around 9:15 a.m. Right away, the security guard greeted us empathetically and led us inside. After checking in at the front desk, we were in the back getting treated. After an hour, we were discharged and picked up medicine at the pharmacy at the hospital. Every person we encountered was kind and had good bedside manners. Their demeanor put my daughter at ease. What a great experience!

I'm so grateful to all of the doctors and nurses that cared for my little girl. Of course you get some nurses that are more chatty or ones that don't care to interact quite as much - but overall, they were all courteous and caring. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my daughter to be cared for in her first weeks of life. Thank you to all- especially Dr Dejonge for keeping it real with us from day 1. We thought it was cute how the nurses posted up her name on crafty art paper and let us take home her name "banner" -- we hung it above her changing table at home. We will never forget her experience at HDV :)
