Carla was able to quickly produce a beautiful arrangement for my recently deceased mother's grave monument. Her craftsmanship, attention to detail and great demeanor harken back to the old time service and value one expects from a long time Birmingham business. The new owners of Lackey Floral have a jewel on their hands who knows how to treat customers right. read more

I am extremely disappointed with Lackey Floral. I ordered a standing spray of flowers for a cousin's funeral and received an inferior product. Two close relatives of mine informed me that the spray was sad looking, drooping flowers, not very colorful with old palm fillers. I was out of the country and unable to attend the funeral, but I totally trust the opinions of the relatives who opined about this. I paid $183.00 for these flowers and expected a quality product. I complained to Lackey about this and was told I would receive a 50% credit on my credit card. When I got the credit, it was for only 25%. The woman I spoke with in Birmingham said her 50% agreement had been over-ridden by someone at the corporate office in Texas and reduced to 25%. They offered me a future discount of some sort, as if I would ever use this shop again for anything. This transaction is a symptom of the harm that can be done when local retailers are acquired by chains and then subjected to bureaucratic and rigid rules and price increases with lower quality. In the future, I will only use local florists that have local decision making and value their local reputations. I would never do another transaction with Lackey or any member of its chain. read more

I felt like I really got taken advantage of on an out of town Valentine phone in order. I specifically asked for 'a nice fresh flower arrangement with no roses and want to spend around $75'. They delivered 11 multi color roses in a very cheap and too small vase. They did not follow my request. read more

Some childrens toys, bottles of wine, cards, kitchy hand towels, candles. It's an awesome one-stop-shop for gifts. Everyone loves receiving flowers! I did think the website could have been a little bit easier to navigate, but it wasn't too bad. They also offer delivery which I believe is free of charge! The staff was very friendly when I picked up, and even helped me out to my car.
