Being a man who loves to hit the ground running with his flyest street wears on, there is no better place to gear up than from one of the Brisbane's successful purveyor of urban freshness.
It's been a while since I've been to Laced and currently they're in a temporary store downstairs while the new store, located on street level, has its final pimp work slapped together.
They still have a select range of shoes, clothing and toys, which to some may seem a little extravagantly priced, but rest assured the guys at Laced look for unique items to sell. This is not mass produced consumerism.
If you like hard to get, individualised sneakers imported from Japan, the USA and Europe, Laced should definitely be on your shopping route while in the city. Make sure you take the time to leaf through some of the most visually interesting shirts and quirky toys anyone can buy.
Talking to one of the owners, Phil, he informed me that Laced will take up the whole three levels of the building they are in. On street level, the new store and café and upstairs they have plans to do some more street art gallery work.
