Seasonal shoes and classic shoes and flat shoes and sandal shoes and shoes that are totally not practical and shoes that I would most certainly ruin with a day's wear. Zomp has everything. It's just wall-to-wall of shoes in the latest styles like wedges and chunky heels, but also classic black pumps, cute work-appropriate flats, and summery sandals. Zomp is a shoe lover's DREAM. There is literally a style to cater for every girl (sorry guys) and for every occasion. For a store along James Street, prices are also quite reasonable. The pumps and wedges that I kept picking up ranged between $130 to about $180, which is what you would pay at regular quality shoe stores like Wittner and Zu. Plus the styles are to die for, so I would gladly make that investment. The girls are also friendly and engage you in conversation, but you can also freely meander around the store to gaze at these wondrous shoes. If you're stuck for shoes for a particular occasion, visit Zomp and I almost guarantee you'll find the very thing you need or, at the very least, walk out with something you don't need, but absolutely love.

The shelves are stacked with skyscraper heels, wedges and flats just waiting to be paired with all of your outfits. The staff are super friendly and (seemingly) don't seem to mind traipsing upstairs to find shoes for your every whim. These guys have saved me from a sad shoe-less fate on numerous occasions. (Most recently, sending shoes from sydney just in time for christmas.) This attractive store coupled with an relaxed environment make shoe shopping a (very enjoyable) breeze. Good lookin' and affordable to boot I would definitely recommend sussing this place out.

It is mostly just clothes and shoes, with a few knick knacks, but no furniture or kitchenware. They have a section dedicated to formal dresses and costumes up the back, behind the counter.

I thought it was great that the store wasn't crammed full of shoes. Don't get me wrong, there was plenty to look at, but it seemed like in this case they believe in quality over quantity which is a philosophy some shops could certainly learn from. The design was simple, so that nothing distracted from the shoes, although I suppose most women don't have trouble staying focused when shoe shopping.

You wouldn't guess that Cinderella's Closet was a second hand store unless they advertised it. The store is prim and proper, everything in it's right place. The displays of accessories are simply charming, darling. The clothes are well categorised and the store is easy to browse through. If you'd like help looking for a particular item, ask the staff, or as they like to refer to themselves- 'fashion consultants'. They'll find you the right shoes for that dress, and the perfect accessories to wear with that bag, sweetie puff. They have clothes for all seasons here. Shoes, accessories and jewellery are all taken care of too. The clothes seem fairly priced- most of the items I picked up were around the $60 mark. A Maiocchi dress for $55? Snap. You won't pay less for such good quality. This is a great place to come if you're looking for something special but don't have the big bucks to go spending in town at the real stores. Cindarella's Closet has quite the collection and I'm sure you'd find something to your liking. You'll probably have a ball being fussed over too. It's all part of the service, peach.

I've never seen so many Doc Martens anywhere else (my mum does not wear Doc Martens). They have plenty of other big brands like Birkenstock, Florsheim and Sketchers. There's heaps of stuff for men as well, with the place seeming to be equally popular between the sexes.

My friend's Mum was telling me about how…read morewhen she used to work in West End in the early 70s, she'd go to Shays Shoes after work and gaze longingly at their range of shoes and wait until she'd earned enough money to go and blow some of her paycheck there. I love that Shays Shoes has been around for so long and is still selling many of the brands that they sold back in the 70s. They still sell a big range range of Dr. Martens, Birkenstocks, and Hush Puppies. Maybe one of the reasons that Shays Shoes has been around for so long is that they manage to cater for everyone. Whether you're a youth wanting a pair of floral-patterned docs, a Mum wanting some Birkenstocks, or a Grandma after some comfy Hush Puppies, Shays has always been the place to find a treat for your feet. I bought Docs here a few years back and they were so helpful and lovely and I still enjoy browsing their new stock when I'm in the area. Some things are built to last and Shays Shoes is one of them.

They have two racks you have to check out - the "everything $2" wrack (which has some cool stuff and some of your laughable awfuls) and my personal favourite - the" fill a bag got $5!) it's always full and always has some cool stuff! I got a super cute cue skirt in there once! They are great for books too, there is a wall bookshelf that has got good quality books on it, some even brand new, and cheap as chips, only a few dollars a book for a new perfect new condition one. shoes and jewellery too, their stock is always rotating so even if you are a regular like I am there is something new for you. Not too good for furniture because of its size but there is a superstore just a few minutes drive away if you are looking for that. (lifeline superstore on sandgate Rd, also yelpable) Five stars for this little northside gem!

The other racks were crammed full of op shopping gold! It was a pleasure to stroll around the store filled to the brim with trinkets, gadgets, and other miscellaneous bits and bobs. It brought back the joys of op shopping days of old. The prices are more than reasonable, and I daresay this is the kind of place you want to bring an oversized garbage bag to. You'll need it. This here is a trove of untold treasures.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this Thrift Shop, full of pre-loved items at very reasonable prices. They sell men's and women's clothing, shoes, bags, books, jewellery, belts and other odds and ends. Upon entry there is a rack dedicated entirely to items that are only one dollar. Obviously those particularly pieces are not the highest quality or brand new in appearance, but still, one dollar! I didn't spend much time browsing the men's selection, but I was fairly delayed in my shopping trip thanks to my intense rifling through the ladies' items. They had a huge selection of tops and blouses, dresses and pants, most of which were under $10. There was also a surprising amount of shoes, most of which were in great shape. I returned to the store at the end of my shopping trip intent on buying something only to discover that they closed at 4pm, rather earlier than I'm used to, so keep that in mind if you choose to pay them a visit.

One of The best parts of this place is the fact they put bulk prices as well as individual and most times buying the whole box is slightly cheaper than individual price. Today I snagged a 'Marvellous Creations' block of Cadbury chocolate for $2.. usually you'd pay $6-8 per slab!! How great. You can get deli style meats, cake mix, drinks, pasta, rice, frozen foods, house cleaning products and i literally mean hundreds more items. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE A MISS FOR THAT REASON THOUGH. I am yelling because it is SO GOOD. If you want to save $$ (Students i'm talking to you) it is so worth the drive. NB. you need some gold coinage for a trolley and you need to spend over $10 to use eftpos. Also. A man with muscles should come with you to carry the slabs of ridiculously cheap drinks.
