Let me tell you, this place has set the standard. Kim was the one who did my nails and they are BETTER than how I wanted them. Called in on a Friday night and ask if they had time to do a fill, they said "no problem, come on in!" I walked in and showed Kim a picture that I wanted and she NAILED it! I didn't even need to pick a color. Plus she added the little rhinestones. She took her time and The price was great! Definitely come in and ask for KIM!

I only wanted my tips painted...and this is what I got...

I asked for the to give me a full set of acrylics and then I wanted just the tips painted to match my toe nails.well they didn't listen and then painted my entire nail on all my nails...and I still ended up paying $150.00...thats ridiculous to be paying that much for a pedicure and a full set of acrylics.which they messed up on anyways....they don't listen to what you ask for and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone...if I could give less than one star I would.....bad buisness...

After trying numerous nail bars in the Portland-Meteo area, I am convinced Lace Beauty is among the best. Lynn and Jenna are both great - very friendly and do fantastic work. My gel nails lasted 3 weeks!

Nice people who work here. But I spent a lot more $ than I have spent at other nail salons- and my nails looked pretty bad within 4 days. No cuticle trim- costs $5 extra.

I love my nails! I use to work downtown and I never knew this salon did Acrylic nails but today I went in and they do. They are a little pricy with $5 more For different shaping and $10 for the kind of paint I wanted. I ended up spending more than double Of what I expected but my nails look amazing & the service was great too. I will definitely ask for Angela again, she took her time and when a nail didn't look right to her she kept at until it was beautiful and I appreciate that! One of the best salons I have been to in the northwest.

Rough edge, uneven trim, and you can see places that only got one layer of polish

Update: the nail technician that messed up my daughter's nails responded on Facebook, and I updated my review to 1 Star. See the screenshots of her comments. I have no words for how unprofessional and rude this person was! My daughter and I have been coming here since she was little, for special mother/daughter time. We decided it would be a great idea to go for her 13th birthday! We scheduled our appointments for 3:00, and were 10 minutes early. They had my daughter sit at one of the manicure stations, and I told them she wanted the little miss mani/pedi. They sat me in one of the pedicure chairs, and started trimming my nails. My daughter sat, unhelped, for 15 minutes, until I asked if someone was going to start on her nails. They moved her to the pedicure chair by me, and started trimming her nails. I received a mediocre leg massage by a second person, while the first person worked on my daughter's nails. Her nails were trimmed and painted before my massage was even done, then they moved her back to the manicure chairs. The same girl trimmed and painted her fingers, left rough spots, and unpainted sides on her pinkies. Everything felt very rushed, and the people that did our nails didn't even try and talk. The girl helping my daughter overheard us talking about how it was her 13th birthday, then when I went to pay, she told me that she was charging me full price for her mani/pedi, because the "little miss" mani/pedi is for under 12 (which isn't noted anywhere on their services brochure in the shop). I mentioned that my daughter didn't receive the full mani/pedi experience (the little miss is shorter, no leg massage) and the girl told me she did! I was sitting right next to my daughter and watched the whole thing, and she most definitely did not! TERRIBLE customer service, and mediocre nails. Not worth the money!

Came here for the first time ever yesterday, and I'll never be back. So many issues and I was annoyed the whole time I was getting my full set done, honestly didn't even want them to finish it anymore. No communication, I kept trying to tell her what I wanted and NEVER got what I asked because she just didn't listen. Wanted long coffin nails and this is what I left with? The nails look fine but that's not what I asked for. $65 for these when I usually pay $50 for dramatically long coffin nails WHICH I WANTED.

24-hours later–Guessing they don't get a lot of male clients? Why so much lunula (white part)? Who do they think I need to scratch? ;)

Man, I really don't like leaving low-star reviews... But if I'm a guy paying to get my nails done, I'd hope they would do a better job than I can do. Got my nails done yesterday and they look marginal, at best. And when the girl was done, she just got up, said "you're done" and booked it. I was going to say something but just then the head honcho told me to move my butt to the front of the store. I normally would try to resolve this in-person but honestly, I don't feel that this business really cares.

Gave this place another chance & so glad I did! I'm walking away with a wonderful shellac pedicure for my trip to California. First off, I must mention that they have the BEST range of colors from long-lasting brands (such as OPI and CND) that I've seen in a salon & I've been to plenty. They also recently remodeled their space & I'm in love. It's spacious, clean, and there's classical background music. The staff was welcoming as soon as I walked in & my technician did her best to fulfill my requests. She went out of her way to make sure I was pleased with the nail shape and color. So pleased that I decided to come here again! Thank you Lace Beauty!

Ignore my fat hands, but Jenny made my dream nails come true!

My review is based on my favorite nail tech Jenny! I moved to Portland six months ago & quickly found this place. I was hoping for a decent nail place close by and this place exceeds my standards! I had a shellac mani/pedi that lasted a month! Jenny is really awesome and patient with working with me to figure out exactly what color/style/design I want. I literally show her my pinterest with nail ideas and she makes it happen. Today marks the 6th mani/pedi (I think) with her and it's by far my favorite! Thanks for spending those hours with me! See you soon!

You can see that the area close to cuticle has less coverage. Coverage is not even.

I came in to get a pedicure and manicure done for my wedding. I had about 4 shades that I wanted to try on for my pedicure since they were all light pinks and it is hard to tell what color they will look like once painted on a nail. When I brought the colors over, she said "Oh my god", as in, wow, that's a lot of colors you want to try. During the pedicure, she was seated next to another manicurist who is giving my friend a pedicure. My aunts all speak Vietnamese so I can tell when they are gossiping and these two ladies were definitely gossiping (not about me and my friend though). Afterwards, I told the lady that I needed to get my nails done for my wedding and that I wanted nail art for my hands. I showed her pics of what I wanted. We settled on a shade for gel and I definitely wanted a light pink that was opaque and not see through. The color on my nails ended up being way lighter than it was on the sample where they have all the colors painted on fake nails. I asked for as second layer and the lady said, "one layer is enough" which definitely was not. Even after the second layer, my nails were still see through. I had also asked her to cut my nails since I didn't like them long. She only cut them on one of my hands. And then when I realized the nails were not cut on the other hand, she just filed them but they were still too long. I didn't say anything else at this point since she seemed to be inconvenienced by the request the first time. I wanted mainly glitter and then for one nail, have several jewels in a circle and then in the center, wanted a white circle .25 inch in diameter. She put on the jewels to create the circle and then I asked her about the white circle inside like we had discussed and like the picture that I showed her several times. She takes her brush, dips it in white and then dabs a dot in the center and says "there!". The dab was not even filled in, it just looked like a lazy brush stroke with little gaps/holes. The glitter did not look like the pictures either. I think in the pics, they used real glitter versus at the salon, they used gel glitter polish. Overall, I was very unhappy with the experience. The manicurist did not listen to me, felt annoyed when I tried telling her what I wanted, and forced me to like things that I didn't like versus trying to make me happy. At one point, I almost got up and left and also considered getting all my nails redone at another salon. This was the shorter older lady with glasses sitting right by the entrance. I am definitely never coming back and was not impressed with their nail art skills.

    Michelle B.

Recently had my nails done at lace beauty, I showed her what I wanted and as you will see in the picture they turned out horrible. After contacting the manager she was able to give me a refund and I store credit to bring me back to the salon. Here's the hard part I love 40 minutes from the salon and the next day was my brothers wedding. So I had to go to another nail salon spend another 2 hrs to take them off and get them redone. On a happy note the gal that did my pedicure gets 5 stars she was amazing! In the picture you will see my nails right after I left the salon and the second picture what I asked for.

    Shellac Mani
    Melissa U.

I went here when I was visiting Portland for the day. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go. I actually called a few places and this was the cheapest place to get a shellac mani for $27, but if you check in to Yelp they give you 10% off. I was immediately greeted and was half an hour early to my appointment, but they took me early. They had a lot of nail polish to chose from, which I loved and made my choices harder to decide. The process was fast, the place seemed a little dirty meaning it needed a little extra cleaning. I like my nails, everyone was friendly and nice. The music needs something else besides elevator music. Like someone else said. The real test would be to see if my nails last. I've gone to someone places and my shellac doesn't last more than a week.

This nail salon came up in my search for "Black owned nail salon," and I think that I'm not getting accurate results. Is this establishment Black owned?

Not that I'm aware of. I believe it is Asian owned.

I went in for a consultation where I got to share all my aesthetic insecurities. Despite the vulnerability, I felt empowered to make the right decision for me. Further, my decision was treated with respect which made me feel more confident about moving forward. I ended up getting masseter Botox for my TMJ. My injector made me feel comfortable and even provided me with anxiety relief tools. She was precise, patient, and provided wonderful patient care. Unfortunately, my injector is no longer at this business but I'd be willing to see others who are also qualified and experienced. I also appreciate the complementary 2 week follow up because it alleviates any concerns about possible complications.

I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.
