With her help, my eczema has cleared up so much and I've been very happy with my care! Prescription refills are fulfilled quickly and all of the assistants are always super sweet during my appointments. It's also great that I can get my botox done here as well! When I first started, I was super nervous, but having a doctor do my injections makes me feel so much better. I later learned they billed my insurance $289 for a separate office visit from that same appointment, which hit my deductible. My records show two notes for that one appointment: the milium procedure, signed the day of my visit, and a second note for facial acne, signed the following morning. The claim was for treating acne vulgaris on my face, a condition I did not come in for, was never told I had, and was never diagnosed with out loud. Tretinoin was raised by the doctor as an option for the single milium, and it appears in that first note. My asking her to prescribe it apparently became a second, billable visit. When I called to ask why a self-pay cosmetic visit had been processed through insurance, the billing manager told me this is simply how they do things and asked how I could not know that. He agreed to waive the balance but said he could not void the claim, so the charge and diagnosis stay on my insurance record. He then told me I was no longer welcome at the practice. Get it in writing, before your appointment, what will and will not be billed to insurance, and check your EOB afterward against what you were quoted.

(Aside from the fact that I absolutely love Dr. kormeili and I can write more after I finished my treatment) but I was telling her how good the glutathione shots have been for me and she requested I post something about it. I just took my third weekly shot. I started after a friend of mine who is a Singer told me about having her glutathione is good for vocal cords, and Hee bought a series of 10 and ended up resorbing assist he had in his knee. he was slated to remove surgically . I used to take glycine orally because it's great for chelation in particularly useful for people who are neurodivergent (which I am) then I read about what it does for skin at Dr. Kormeili's and decided to try the shots. Within 10 minutes of the first shot, I felt my whole nervous system relax and felt very grounded. It took away my sugar cravings, which I'm not claiming as one of the benefits. It's just what it did to me and on day six I usually feel that I'm ready for my next shot. It would be too lengthy for me to get into all the reasons, but I would encourage you to do a deep dive into the benefits of glutathione and I don't know if they are all created equal but what I get from Dr. kormeili makes an almost immediate and noticeable difference in my life. And I feel when I need more. And plus I get to see Dr. kormeili weekly which always makes my day The other thing I will say about the office is that everybody that I have seen there does not look like they've had anything done. And I really appreciate her discouraging me from services. She feels I do not need in case I haven't been clear: I absolutely love Dr. Kormeili. Also forgot to mention what she did with one syringe of filler was nothing short of miraculous in terms of restoring my face to where I recognize myself and felt like myself again and what I can tell you is it's not what I think I needed. I've now been seeing Dr. Meinhardt for well over 4 years, and I just had an experience that…read morewarrants an update to my review. I decided to get some Juvaderm injections to help with acne scarring. Juvaderm itself is a very safe substance, it's Hyaluronic Acid which occurs naturally in the body/skin. But, there are still risks to the procedure, which is why it's so important to get it done by experts. There are blood vessels in the face, and if any HA filler gets injected into one of those (or compresses it from the outside), it can cut off blood supply to portions of the skin and cause necrosis (cell death) which can be very very serious. No matter how skilled the doctor, there is still always a small chance that this will happen. But part of the expertise is in knowing what to do if and when it does happen. Right after my injections, everything seemed fine. But that evening I started noticing an unusual darkening of the skin in a specific area. I emailed Dr. Meinhardt a picture and he asked me to come back in immediately. He began injecting the area with a medication which dissolves the HA filler. This is what doctors are supposed to do if they suspect that filler may be blocking blood vessels. My case was very unusual in its presentation, but he was determined to prevent damage to my skin. He spent the next 3 or 4 hours monitoring me, checking my capillary refill time, re-injecting the area with the dissolving enzyme, massaging the skin, putting heat packs on the area and periodically sending photos of the area to a colleague of his (with my consent of course) to make sure he got a second opinion and was taking the right course of action. He did all this without an appointment, and he has a very busy schedule. He didn't charge me (or bill my insurance even though this was now an emergency procedure), and I can't be sure - but I'm almost certain that the dissolving medication costs a LOT of money. And he used a great deal of it on me without charging me a dime. Now the area seemed to be somewhat bruised by the dissolving injections (which is okay) but it still left open the possibility that some of the purplish color wasn't a bruise, but was vessel blockage. He wanted to be absolutely sure in the most complete sense that he was doing everything he possibly could for me to prevent cell death and/or scarring. So, he sent me home with his cell phone number. Not his Google Voice number, but the actual number to his iPhone. He wanted me to send him regular pictures, he called me at regular intervals and even FaceTimed me to have me show him how quickly my capillaries refilled when I pressed on it, the color, etc. This was on a Friday evening, and I could hear young kids in the background so I'm pretty sure he was at home with his family. If at any point he thought my skin was worsening, he was prepared to come into his office on a weekend and treat me. I understand that doctors have an incentive to try and limit their liability, but Dr. Meinhardt had only one goal - save my skin and make sure I was okay. I already signed the standard legal release before the procedure, and he knows that since I come from a family of doctors, I am not a patient who's likely to sue him, no matter what happens. He didn't care about any of that. His efforts were purely in the interest of my safety and well-being. Rare adverse events can happen to anyone. But only skilled doctors know how to address those events when they occur. My skin is still in the process of healing and I'm still in constant communication with Dr. Meinhardt. It looks like I'm probably going to make a full recovery. This was such an exceptional level of care and expertise that I felt morally obligated to share this with any prospective patients. Everything I said in my first review 4 years ago still stands. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say Dr. Meinhardt is probably one of the best doctors in the country. Not just in his dermatology expertise, but in his devotion to taking care of his patients.

Turns out, Bob Marley died at a very young age from a similar mole that turned out to be cancerous. In February, I decided to get a biopsy for a mole that was growing. The staff promptly took a sample for testing, which I appreciated. However, I was left without any follow-up regarding the results. I had to reach out myself to get the information, which I initially brushed off as understandable due to their busy schedule. Fast forward to my follow-up appointment on July 7th for another mole they had initially flagged. Again, they took a biopsy, but here we are over six weeks later, and I still haven't received any updates. I've tried calling, but unfortunately, I've reached out on days when the office was closed. It's disheartening that patients have to chase down their doctors for updates, especially when it comes to something as critical as skin cancer testing. The communication process needs significant improvement. While I really like the office's location and have had positive interactions with the staff, including Amber, who is always sweet and attentive, the lack of follow-through on biopsy results is concerning. In cases like these, timely updates should be standard practice to provide patients with peace of mind. I hope they can address these issues because I would like to continue my care here.
