Easiest and fastest appointment ever!!! I'll be coming back soon. I didn't feel a thing when they drawn my blood.

Words of caution: depending on the day, it can get busy. Actually, every time I went it has been…read morebusy. I had trouble with the self check in kiosk when I tried to do a walk-in on the weekend, but the staff was very nice and updated the waiting room that they only had two phlebotomist working that day so there would be a wait. As I couldn't even check in, and there was no other staff present except the overworked phlebotomists, I ultimately scheduled an appointment online with conveniently placed handouts with the QR codes listed, see photo. I was able to get an appointment for Monday, late morning. Luckily, my schedule was flexible enough to allow for this appointment time. There are two main parking options; if it's your first time going to this location, you can try either. The lot parking off 139th St can be full, but it does seem like I can usually find a spot, likely due to quick turnover at the lab; or the parking structure on the other side where you are guaranteed to get some sort of parking. I would suggest budgeting your time to account for parking, as the phlebotomist called several names with nobody present; I do wonder if the people were running a behind due to parking issues but had otherwise checked in? Not sure if they ultimately were able to be seen. The actual blood draw was very seamless. The phlebotomist I had (I'm only now realizing I didn't catch his name, but he was rocking a red Next Generation Star Trek shirt) was fantastic. I cautioned him that in the past, my veins have been difficult to locate (a "hard stick") but he had no problem whatsoever both locating the vein on my preferred arm (the harder to stick side) and getting it on the first try. Admittedly, I did try to chug water beforehand, but I've done so before and it's still been somewhat difficult. It feels like they see a huge volume of patients, and it's clear the phlebotomists have to be competent and efficient. I was quite impressed. This was one of the most seamless lab draws I've had in quite a while, if ever. I'm not a fan of the self-checking kiosk, and it feels redundant to still confirm with a physical person regarding the same information (and it doesn't look like this is done on weekends anyway)--the actual blood draw itself was great (well, as good getting blood drawn can be, anyway).

The kiosk system sucks. It should be illegal to not have a receptionist on site to answer…read morequestions, verify orders, and take drop off samples in a timely matter. Quest diagnostic labs also does this kiosk garbage. When dealing with an elderly person in one's care, having these non human barriers makes it unnecessarily difficult to reschedule if there is an issue. These labs also need to be a part of the medical group for whom they service so that things like POA documents and HIPPA permissions transfer over seemlessly. I'm sick and tired of companies trying to save a few pennies so the CEO's can buy more hookers and blow.

Locked, Loaded, and Radiated: My Recon at Legacy Salmon Creek…read more Marching into a hospital through a metal detector wasn't on my bingo card for the day, but apparently one lunatic with a gun years ago ratcheted security up to DEFCON 2. I get it--force protection--but it slows the mission down a bit. Once inside the wire, the front-desk crew were solid troops: friendly, efficient, and squared away. The radiology techs carried the same energy--professional, competent, and quick to execute. When my number came up, the procedure moved fast. The only real enemy contact was that cup of radioactive chalk they made me chug. Let's just say it hit like a flashbang to the gut ... RALPH! As a first-timer in this AO, I'll say this: the hospital is clean, organized, and staffed with pros. The security gauntlet? Maybe a little overkill--but I've seen worse, and if it keeps another incident off the blotter, I can live with the inconvenience. 1 Star - 13+ HOUR ORDEAL | DANGEROUS NEGLECT & ABUSE…read more My sister arrived coughing up blood at 12:30 AM. Her X-ray was finished at 3:55 AM, yet we were left in the waiting room with zero consultation or answers until 9:00 AM. Overall, we were stuck there for nearly 14 hours just to get a diagnosis. We didn't need a bed; we needed a doctor to review her results and tell us if she was safe. The front desk conduct was appalling. A receptionist named Marella told me she "DID NOT CARE" my sister was coughing up blood and intentionally flipped her ID badge to hide her name (a violation of WA law). Another staff member earlier that morning refused to provide a grievance form. While the clinical staff was kind and attentive once they finally saw us at 9:00 AM, the 13+ hour total time spent for a respiratory emergency is a massive safety risk. Formal reports have been filed with the WA Department of Health and Legacy Leadership. Avoid this ER.

A simple visit to get a DOT form signed turned into her suggesting a variety of medications that I didn't ask for, and accusing me of "forcing" her to sign the form. She also claimed she needed to collect "data" on my medications that I have been taking over a year without incident in order to proceed filling my medications, while actively trying to change my prescriptions. If you want a medical provider who will waste your fucking time, and talk to you like you're an idiot, go see her. I've never walked out of a doctor's office mid-appointment. This was a first.

So I called them back and said: "Do you usually charge when relaying test results?" They said: "No we don't charge for that" So I asked why did I get charged and they said they didn't know and would call me back and remove it. They never called back and when I called them they acted like they didn't know anything. This place has horrible service and will over charge you. DO NOT GO HERE! Beware!!

There weren't any female doctors at the 87th location, so I decided to start coming to the Salmon Creek location. This location is very similar to the 87th location I'd been going to for years. Same spa-like feel when you walk in with water fountains and a real calming vibe. There's plenty of plush chairs and benches in the long lobby area with plenty of gender neutral restrooms and hand sanitizing stations. They also have a pharmacy and lab for bloodwork. I appreciate not having to go to different locations to get things done. They use the MyChart app, making it easy to schedule appointments, pay bills, and ask your doctor's team medical questions. It's very easy to use and I usually get responses within 24-48 hours. Overall I am happy with this Vancouver Clinic location. I will continue to come here for as long as my PCP is available.

I absolutely LOATH TVC's disrespectful scheduling system. As a prospective or current patient you…read morecan only contact a call center and wait on hold until an agent takes your call. While you wait, the recorded message implores you to go to the website or patient portal to DIY your own care, apparently. If the schedulers cannot answer your question (I doubt that they are medical professionals), you have to schedule a call back from the doctor's office. Even if you are current patient, you are NOT allowed to call the doctor's office directly, because they are "too busy with other patients" and "cannot be bothered answering questions." If you were having medical issues, can you imagine how inhumane this system would be? Here's an idea, shut down your scheduling center and hire more staff at the medical offices. We are not cattle, being herded in and out of the abysmal, corporate, healthcare system. And these services are not free....we are paying dearly and yet treated with such a profound lack of respect. Can they make it more apparent that they want no contact with their patients other than getting paid? As for me, my doctor gave me three names of specialists, at different facilities. Of course, I will not be scheduling at TVC....for any reason. It is too soulless, conveyor-belt, Soviet "medicine" for my taste.
