I'm sure every one of the negative reviews here are accurate, but I want to provide a different experience. My appointment was at 9am on a Wednesday. By 9:18 I was in my car heading home, all done! The actual blood draw was the best draw I've ever had. No pain with the needle going in, no pain with the 4 vials going out. That phlebotomist was amazing!! A 5-star experience all around. As I was heading in for my draw, a man in the lobby was complaining he'd been waiting there for 25 minutes with no help. As I left the office, he was leaving in front of me with stretch-tape around his arm. He got seen as well. I was expecting the worst (based on these reviews) and got the best. (Note: That parking garage is always packed. I parked out on the street on Glisan, where it's free 2-hour parking) read more

My husband had a lung transplant and is on medication that needs to be monitored through blood tests. The woman at LabCorp at Willamette Falls Hospital has messed up his orders and is VERY rude!!! She needs to be fired! read more

If you have a choice, go to a different LabCorp location. But if you must come here, set up an appointment online. It's super easy, just go to their website, pick a day, see what times are available, then follow the steps. Even with an appointment time, the wait can be long, but it will be faster than the 30, 40 or 1 hour wait for walk-ins. Because they are located on the first floor of the medical center filled with doctors offices, they get the foot traffic, so even if you are already in this building, use your phone to set up appointment. The new kiosk system is far better than the previous which required calling a number and never getting through to a live person to set up appointment. You would end up playing phone tag for days, sometimes weeks, and it never resulted in a positive experience. I'm giving two stars, rather than one, because one out of two reps I dealt with was helpful and patient as we tried to track down the labs requested by a doctor from OHSU. If it wasn't for her helpfulness, I'd probably give a one star. That being said, I give other locations 4 or 5 stars. Give yourself plenty of time to park. The garage is a nightmare, lots of one ways and loops and takes quite a bit of time to actually find a parking spot. They do offer valet if you pull up in front of the entrance. read more

I've had my blood drawn several times at their Good Samaritan site. After check in, I'm always told, "we'll be with you shortly." It's never been a short wait. The last time I waited an hour after check in, and I left without the blood draw, with the condition of the waiting room nearly intolerable. I hope Legacy finally does something about this. I made an appointment online, I showed up a little bit before my appointment and check in to all done and out the door was a little more than 10 minutes. I know early in the morning it's probably easier than later in the day when I'm sure things get backed up. Checking it at the kiosk was really no problem, I don't know why so many people are upset about it, just follow the directions it's very easy. It's not like they were overly friendly, everybody there seems to sort of not want to be there but I don't need them to be friendly. read more

No one answers the phone. Ever. Can't find out if your orders have been forwarded from the physcian to the lab. Ever. Dreadful, automated, cumbersome check-in system. Always. Long waits, even with an "appointment". Always. Longer waits, if that's possible, if you don't have one. The lab techs are now burdened with doing paperwork and filling out forms, which makes patient appointments longer and distracts them from what they are there to do. Providence blew it on this one. And the people who pay for it are the lab techs and the patients. Everything that is wrong with the way our current healthcare system works is captured here. Labcorp has taken over all laboratory services at Providence and Legacy, so now there is very little choice. The lab at Legacy Emmanuel at least lets you make an appt. At Portland Providence Medical Center, you must sign in on a germy iPad and wait for an hour before you even talk to a human. If there is something amiss with your lab form, or other issue, they will boot you out and make you wait another hour to be seen. My printer was broken and so I came prepared with the order on my phone. I've always been able to send it to an email address or have them scan it in. But that was when it was run by Providence and not some cut-rate capitalist racket. The supervisor was rude and condescending, acting like the patients were all burdens and not the customers. I will not go back there again despite it being very close to where I live. I'll be trekking across town to Legacy where they let you make appts, at least. It's still LabCorp though, so I guess the whole "having a choice" of privatized is another lie the billionaire insurance companies tell us so they can make money while we all deal with substandard healthcare. Vote for politicians who will enact true Universal Healthcare ASAP. Until then, avoid crappy places like Providence Portland LabCorp lab. read more

Alex is the best! Make an appointment well ahead of time and request him. I've always been nervous bc I've gotten poked 2-3 times multiple different times. So far Alex has been the best getting it on the first try and is so nice. He's personable and distracts me with conversation which I appreciate! Very friendly and seems to always be in a good mood, which is a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much Alex!! I will continue to see him as long as he's there!! read more

Labcorp took over the testing for my retired physician's office, then my new physician's office. I haven't had a problem with their services or their technicians at all, it's their billing. I have never missed a payment for anything, ever...and I'm not young--so their billing really ticks me off. They don't start with a bill. They start with a collection notice. For amounts like $4.12 or $5.41, or that sort of amount--that might or might not buy a slice of pizza. Then, they send a more threatening notice before the payment for their first threatening notice can even make it there. Then, invariably, they end up sending back a check. If they think their customers/patients are all going to be deadbeats over a $5 bill, why are they in this business? read more

Absolute worst! Must enter all details in computer to make an appointment. Get a scan code for checkin... then must enter all personal details again! Then get called so a live person can ask for the same personal details again. read more

Very convenient location. They have a horrible check in system. I ordered some labs as part of a package from the Levels App. I had an email with my results in just a few hours. Check in through the Labcorp app. That was much smoother than the wonky kiosk. But, even with a appointment the wait time is unacceptably long. read more

If this location services Emanuel should be company policy to hire English speakers as well people that know what they are doing. I have never had an issue getting my blood drawn but this technician poked me 3 times bruised me almost like her first day on the job. Definitely shouldn't be a phlebotomist. read more

The check in is atrocious. More confusing than it should be. Employees at the registration hate their jobs, rightfully so because after waiting forever to be checking for a second time they tell you the wait will be an additional 3 hours. If you have any sort of impairment the check in process would be impossible. Do better. I would give it zero stars but the lab techs are the only redeeming factor. read more

LabCorp has made the lab experience 1000x worse. There is no longer a human check-in experience but use a glitchy electronic kiosk. They understaff the medical personnel, don't integrate with the hospital/medical system, test turnaround (if even accurate) is on the order of days/week+ vs previously minutes/hours. Due to understaffing, care is lacking and sloppy at best. Wait times can be hours (I waited 2.5 hours for a fasted blood draw with only 1 person working in the lab and 40+ patients angrily waiting). Run far away. Complain to doctors, office managers, hospital directors, congressperson. read more

I will never go back to this location if I can help it. I have to get labs drawn quite often and this my was first time dealing w LabCorp. My complaint is with the staff actually drawing the labs. Without getting too personal they did not listen to my particular medical needs and botched the first attempt at a draw which caused unnecessary pain and me almost passing out. Another tech had to come in, again not listening to my medical needs and history so I kept trying to inform him. After they both himmed and hawed and some audable sighs they finally did and the draw how I had initially requested and it was successful. They were short with me, didn't listen over and over, and were unprofessional. I get better treatment taking my car for an oil change. read more

Simply AWFUL! Spent 3.5 hours there this morning. Long line to check in when they opened (all the fasting people like me). That was 30 min. Bring your license and insurance card, as you will need to scan those. Then waited an hour to be called up by the ONE person staffing the desk, only to be told that the Providence Epic system and LabCorp's system do not connect (even though they can connect to the DMV data from your license). So you pretty much have to have your doctor print the full lab orders. Whatever you have in MyChart is not acceptable. So I called my doc office (on a Saturday) and got the on-call person to fax over the orders. This short-circuited the poor angry LabCorp lady's brain, and she said they sent all my medical records, which--according to her--contained just one of the four lab orders. So I called again, and expressly asked for them to send ONLY the 4 recent lab orders. Again, short circuit. I asked poor angry lady to control+F to search the faxed file for the key words of the labs I needed. This made smoke come out of her ears. She printed the whole thing, and WOW! She found them! I was there for over 3 hours--hangry and dehydrated. The poor elderly folks and those who don't speak English were effed. People in the PACKED waiting room kept jumping up to help the elderly. And they NEVER ONCE announced that if people didn't have paper printouts of their labs, they were effed. Like it took 90 minutes just to learn whether or not you were really eligible for the blood draw. AVOID LABCORP AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

Yet another appointment made and needed to leave because of the long wait time. Providence blew it when they contracted with this lab that has one front desk person and gazillion people waiting EVEN WITH appointments. One person was called back in the 40 minutes I was waiting. The people next to me had the same appointment time as I did and they were told they were number five on the list. If front desk coverage is example of staffing there is probably only one lab tech drawing blood these days. Not a good experience. read more

Worst lab experience I have ever had.Providence outsourced there labs to this company. Was a walk-in so waited almost 2 hrs & then another 45 min for the lab tech to take blood. Just. terrible. Providence sold their lab services to this cut-rate company and it's just been a disaster on the inpatient side as well as the outpatient side. My own personal experience at the LabCorp at Prov Portland Med Ctr (outpatient): the check-in process was confusing for many and the employee at the front desk was incredibly unfriendly and not helpful at all- it was obvious he hated his job and was almost robotic in all of his answers. The wait time was ridiculous and you can't make an appt. The actual lab draw was fine though at least. read more

Just unbelievably horrible at every turn and in every way. Where to even begin? Hours of waiting, no appointments, packed waiting rooms-- even first thing Saturday morning!
