Once upon a time zoomcare use to be the affordable option. The founding CEO talked to my grad school class about how he wanted to change healthcare and make it affordable and patient centric. I recently took my kid in for a sore throat, cut to me getting a bill of $949 for 15 minutes with a grouchy FNP. You heard me right $949 dollars. This is more money than I have ever been billed including highly trained specialists. In fact I think my surgeons fees were $1,500 for 30 minutes of surgery. This is absolute lunacy! read more

I had an appointment, and when I showed up the building was closed. Turns out the doctor called in sick. There was no phone call or attempt to contact me. By the time of my appointment there were no other same day appointments available. What's weird is that I was still able to check in virtually 10 minutes before the appointment. Had I been given notice I would have been able to find alternative care. This is unacceptable! I understand things happen and people get sick, but some common courtesy would be appreciated. read more

Normally I would do a video appointment, but due to switching their systems over those are unavailable at the moment and I had to schedule for an in-person (over the phone because the new website is a hot mess, but I don't feel it warrants removing a star here). The person scheduling me was really helpful and courteous, and I was going to be seen same day. Not long after however I got a phone call: due to my issues, they wanted to put me on the phone with the PA then! We went over things and they decided to have me go to a Zoomcare Super instead, and also stressed for me to go sooner or even the ER if things continued. There was no charge for this and honestly I truly appreciated their taking things seriously. Unfortunately I did have to reschedule my Super appt from Portland to Lake Oswego as I needed an ultrasound, but overall this was a positive experience and I am grateful for their professionalism and concern. read more

I had a video appointment today at 7:15pm with Geraldine Cabero, PA-C. I waited in the virtual room from 7:10pm - 7:25pm. However, the PA did not show up. No one contacted me either. With talking to the help team associate, it was brought to my attention that someone other than myself rescheduled my appt to 11:30pm instead. I also got a confirmation email saying it was rescheduled to 11:30pm. However, I did not do this. The help team associate tried to contact the clinic in order to have more clarity. However, the clinic did not respond. This is frustrating to me. I have set time after my work day to attend this appointment time to, to prepare, to have my id ready, all for someone to change my appt to a later time that did not agree with. I have unfortunately wasted my time and feel like the PA purposely rescheduled me to see another client or to do another responsibility instead. read more

I just had the worst experience with the most rude and disrespectful doctor that I've ever had. I showed up to my appointment on time but was asked to fill out consent forms that I filled out years ago. One of the pages I was asked to sign had absolutely no indication as to what I was signing. Once I got into the appointment, your doctor took the opportunity to lecture me on on the fact that I had used up my whole appointment time checking in and explaining how lucky I am that he didn't have an appointment 15 minutes after mine. He became argumentative from the start of the appointment and it only got worse. After I explained to him my symptoms and discomfort, he asked if the was anything thing else. I then asked if he could feel an ongoing prescription and I got another lecture but this time with a raised voice so that others down the hall could hear. He was letting me know that I only have one issue per appointment. At point it was very clear to me that he was looking for a way to bill me without helping me at all and he did just that. He put a scope to my chest, asked for a deep breath and said the appointment was over. When I asked if he could swab my throat for what sounds like a bronchitis, he refused because a week to 10 days and coughing up green phlegm isn't worthy of testing for that. I'm contacting my insurance company because that felt like theft of services. I don't know where your company finds clowns like Dr. Micheal Oschald but I can see a malpractice lawsuit in your future. Because I'm have to schedule another appointment with Providence Healthcare, I've come to the conclusion that I won't be using Zoom Care anymore... read more

I had a Saturday morning blood draw appointment that had to happen at 8am to test cortisol levels. With my work I can only make this happen on weekends and I was told that Alberta was the only place open at this time so I drove 30 minutes to the appointment to make it happen. Despite the fact that the appointment was made days ago and I had a text confirmation the night before, when I arrived the clinic was closed with no explanation other than a sticky note on the door saying they won't be opening until 3pm that day. I later received a text letting me know my appointment was canceled 1 hour after the appointment time. read more

Just got a wellness check with Mark Tyrell PAC at this location and was very impressed. First, it's great to be able to do a Sunday morning visit & to get in quickly for some deferred concerns. Secondly, the staff was great. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the woman who checked me in & out as well as performing the blood draw but she was as kind, efficient & helpful as the PAC. Besides cholesterol check & such, a got a referral for a specialist & an appointment for regular female maintenance check at another location on the way out the door. In general, my family has received excellent care from Zoomcare and this location is no exception. I am so happy our insurance covers Zoom, after about a year gap. Zoomcare is just so EASY . My son had a non urgent issue, and ped appointments were going to require his missing school and my missing work. We were able to pop into Zoom on Sat morning, see the doctor within a few minutes and have the rest of our day to enjoy. read more

I often don't write reviews but this is a time to share. I mentioned right away I don't have insurance so they were cost concerned rather than trying to sell me for tests and such. I called around 8pm sharing I got an awful animal bite and needed it looked at. The front desk said immediately we have an opening at 10pm. I got there 15 mins early to fill out paperwork and got seen sooner than before my appointment. The dr. Andrea, was so personable it felt comforting. I got my antibiotics in the same clinic and now couple days later, i am healing!! i also appreciate that she shared If symptoms got worse to go the the ER, everything was explained so clearly. I'm back to my normal routine. I'm so thankful :) felt like a company that was trying to help not just make money. read more

I've been into this place twice. I love that Zoom care exists. My experience, other than the guy working at the front desk has always been stellar. It's quick, it's easy, my doctor is always great. That said, someone needs to provide some training to CJ who works at the front desk. This young man has been quite rude on both of my visits and he has really rubbed me the wrong way. While in just now I mentioned that I was walking in, as I saw that they do walk ins on the website. Before I even finished my sentence he cut me off and began to argue with me and tell me I'm wrong. He's super rude, argumentative, corrects people, talks over them, lectures them and worst of all included irrelevant anecdotes about his personal life. The poor customer service is pretty shocking and unacceptable in an environment where people are coming in to get "urgent care". No one has time or patience for this young mans attitude when they're in the middle of a health crisis. I'd love to talk to the manager. read more

Their extremely poor service caused me real anguish on top of the pain of the wound I came in to get stitches for. I told the receptionist collecting my information that I have a cat bite that is a 1-inch long deep gaping gash that will require stitches. I also told her I need the care provider I will be seeing to know that I have medical trauma and PTSD in medical settings, and that I was currently dealing with panic just being there. She went back and told the Physicians Assistant named Hannah. That gave me hope that there would be *some* accommodations during this appointment. Then I waited 15+ minutes experiencing stress and fear and panic that was making me shake and cry and hard to breathe. The receptionist did NOT tell me that their urgent care would NOT be able to administer the stitches that my wound obviously needs. That is crucial information to communicate to a patient who is 1) in pain, 2) knows the wound requires stitches, and 3) has told you that being in medical situations causes panic and PTSD episodes because they have medical trauma. I could have been informed of this and sent to another location at the point of intake, but the receptionist FAILED to convey the limitations of their location and provide the address of another Zoom Care location that could provide the procedure I needed. So fuck her for the unnecessary trauma of my whole experience there. Sadly, the PA Hannah, who had been personally told by the receptionist there was a patient coming next who has medical trauma and PTSD in medical situations, didn't give a fuck and behaved just like the rest of the self-centered providers in healthcare who give you attitude if you ask for what you need. As Hannah was leading me to the exam room, I asked if it would be possible for her to tell me everything that is about to happen in the exam room before starting anything. She said of course, I understand, no problem. Then she proceeded to tell me I could sit on the table or in a chair, went to her computer, and started asking me for information, all of which I provided. Then she started putting on nitrile gloves. My panic started rising, so I said "I am still waiting for you to tell me what is going on here, which you have not done yet." Hannah replied "All I did was ask you questions and put in your information, and I need to put on gloves to examine your wound, that's just standard." CLEARLY she had already started her routine without telling me first what to expect to occur in the exam room before anything got started. So she flat out lied about being willing to make a simple accommodation for a patient with medical trauma. Hanna the PA then explained that she needed to see the wound to determine if it needs sutures. I had already told her, as well as the receptionist, that my husband had the same deep gash from our same cat and it required 7 stitches. She said she needed to determine that herself, and that after she examines the wound, she would be rinsing it with saline and prescribing antibiotics, but that this urgent care did not have the capacity to perform the sutures so I would then be referred to another Zoom Care that can. That is how far into the care process I had to endure in order to learn that they could not suture the wound. I asked why, and Hanna said because they have two appointments booked before they closed and that they were "squeezing me in." I said in that case it sounds like I should just go to that other Zoom Care. Hannah replied with attitude "Well but you came here." What a bullshit snapback attempt to put me at fault. She then insisted that she needed to do an examination first before sending to me another Zoom location. I said "Why?" And Hannah the PA replied "so that I can determine if sutures are needed." I said but they are needed, that's why I came to your Urgent Care. I started standing up, and expressed that I was sorry, and opened the door to hobble down the hall. PA Hannah came out behind me and in a really irritated voice told the receptionist in the hallway "go ahead and bill this as [something] because she is walking out. Over my shoulder I said "I thought this was an urgent care." And she snapped back "you need an appointment!" I was too psychologically exhausted after this NON-CARE to withstand another medical visit afterward. They wasted my opportunity to get actual care, and they caused me harm. I went home with no care, no antibiotics, and I will try again tomorrow to interface with the medical industry so that my foot does not become infected. FUCK ZOOM CARE and fuck medical providers for not giving a fuck about anyone but themselves. Avoid this place, and probably all outlets. They zoom right past your needs, but they don't care one bit. read more

My most recent visit to ZOOM+Care on Alberta was helpful and efficient. I was initially running late due to construction, and was able to call in and change my appointment on the phone with no charge. I ended up getting to Alberta still well before my new appointment time. CJ got me checked in, and then went to see if they could fit me in earlier. This whole process took maybe 2 minutes, and CJ was able to get me in earlier than I had expected. I met with Dr. Klunk, who had me diagnosed and out the door within roughly 10 minutes. Again, CJ was able to get me checked out, with the prescriptions I needed, in super short time. No problems with my insurance processing, and everyone was really nice, professional, and helpful. So I went here with all the symptoms of an ear infection and a swollen lymph node in my neck. Strangely, the right side of my face wasn't working properly either. The doctor told me it was allergies. I've never had allergies, I said. No, it sounds like allergies. So off I went to pay $50 for allergy meds that I ended up not needing, because... The next day I went to the hospital emergency and they told me I have Bell's Palsey. I needed a cat scan to make sure I wasn't having a stroke. They started me on some steroids to try to decrease the swelling in my inner ear and save the nerve that could help me get the movement back on the right side of my face, and also an anti viral medication. Zoom totally let me down. read more

Medical "industry", you're doing it wrong. Because you're not doing it like ZoomCare. 8:30 Sunday morning I suddenly become concerned I have strep (my boss came on Friday after being diagnosed. WT*F*?). Since I have surgery in a few weeks this is a problem. I call ZoomCare and SOMEONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. At 8:30 on a Sunday. They can see me first thing. At 9am. On a Sunday. At 9:18 (I checked) I'm negative for strep and have 2 prescriptions. Fsck, who needs doctors? When ZoomCare hires surgeons everything else medical will wither and die. I sincerely appreciate how kind and considerate this entire Zoom Care team was. I felt very cared for at the end of a chaotic day and that was all thanks to Zoom Care's excellent staff. I can't speak to other Zoom Care facilities but the one off of NE Alberta and 14th made sure to make me feel welcomed, prioritized, and sorted before I walked out the door. I had a crisis of faith in the medical profession last year. I had been to an unnamed doctor three times for multiple symptoms over the course of two weeks. During that time, I discovered several ways in which I am at least as qualified, if not more so, to diagnose an illness as this physician. 1. I have a computer with an internet connection, and hands, and therefore can easily navigate to webmd, mayoclinic.com, or, if all else fails, wikipedia. 2. I have a memory of my various ailments over the past several weeks, and can therefore draw connections among the various stages of my illness, whatever that may be. 3. I am literate and would probably be able to read a medical chart, which would have notes I had written during previous appointments. 4. I have the sense to review all the information I have before undertaking the diagnosis process. Those last two were the most glaring failures on the part of this doctor. The third time I waited in her waiting room (next to the guy coughing up a lung and the other guy who just smells bad -- if I wasn't sick before I definitely am now), got weighed and measured by her nursing staff (these numbers can't have changed much over two weeks), and then waited in her smaller waiting room, before having the honor of sharing the same room with her, she had no recollection of my ever having been there before, nor had she reviewed her notes from our previous meetings. This is basic stuff, doc. You just wasted an hour of my time, and your "educated" opinion is no more sophisticated than what I can come up with after 15 minutes on my computer. And speaking of computers, I noticed there isn't one in this room, which means you're almost certainly employing a dozen people in this building to keep track of all your records. This experience has led me to a startling conclusion: primary physicians have no more information about my potential affliction than is readily available on the interwebs; therefore, the only reason to see a primary physician is to get a prescription. A primary care doctor's office is nothing more than a prescription shop. Now, subtract all the waiting, all the smelly people, all the feigned respect for Dr. Prescription Salesperson, and all the paper records that nobody will ever read. Add tea. That's Zoomcare. It's a prescription shop, stripped of the bullshit. Make an appointment online, show up five minutes early, get in, chat with a friendly person about symptoms, get out, head to the pharmacy. It's not an ideal situation. It has not freed me of my cynicism. But if I have a pretty good idea of what's wrong, and I need antibiotics to fix it, Zoomcare is where I'm going. read more

I have a job with healthcare benefits. GF lost her job a few months ago and does not currently have health insurance. Her two young adult children are also not covered. Yeah, I have a decent job, but I don't make anywhere CLOSE to enough bank to provide insurance for all the folks under my roof. Hell, I barely have the scratch to feed 'em all. (Here's where I could go on and on and on about the sorry state of the country's healthcare system, but I'll spare my fellow Yelpers the diatribe.) So, when the boy got a nasty case of bronchitis recently, who we gonna call? ZoomCare. The prices at ZoomCare are fairly reasonable. We were able to get the kid examined and doctored up with some antibiotics without breaking the bank. I must say, the service was certainly better than I get from my PPO MD. There was barely a wait--easy in, easy out. The kid is all better and back at his MMA training. Gulp. I'm glad this place is right down the street. Hopefully we won't need to visit again anytime soon. read more

Oh, MLK Day. A day set aside to celebrate the life of a great man, a life celebrated through a day off from school/work, a declared day of service, a day where it was absolutely impossible for me to get an appointment with a doctor who acknowledges my insurance provider. I called all the doctors listed on my, "it's cool, you're insured" list and not a single one was able to have me. Being more stressed out than any day from when I didn't have insurance and growing sicker by the second, I finally decided to call this ZoomCare place. I guess I was expecting the slightly rundown clinics from Chicago, the quick prescription factory that I was accustomed to. Alas, this was no Sudafed feed bag but a nice place where I was offered tea while I waited for my appointment to start. I had a nice herbal blend and then, shockingly, my appointment started right at the time it was supposed to. The PA who saw me was awesome. She was great at listening to my laundry list of symptoms and was totally patient when I started discussing my weird Web MD self-diagnosis (the plague) and asking arbitrary questions (seriously, how much calcium DO I need?). I left feeling confident that I had been listened to and that I had been diagnosed correctly. Upside: Excellent service, prompt service, nice tea selection. Downside: No matter what happens, I need to pay you a minimum of $99? That's uninsured highway robbery. read more

I used to sing ZoomCare's praises until today. I was diagnosed with strep throat and told I needed antibiotics. Upon checking out I was told I had to pay the remainder of what my insurance won't cover, right there on the spot when every other time I came in I had been billed. I didn't have the money to pay them and when I told the assistant that she said they wouldn't give me my Rx for antibiotics... um, are you freaking kidding me? Withholding medication for something that can lead to complications if left untreated because you couldn't wait a effing week for your precious money?!?!?! That's just inhumane!!! You're better off waiting an hour or more at a hospital urgent care where at least they won't leave you to suffer! read more

I'm a pretty impatient person, and I must not be the only one because these ZoomCares are popping up all over town. They are the place to go for basic healthcare when you don't want to wait 6 weeks to see your over booked regular doc, or waste a small fortune in the emergency room at the hospital (especially if it isn't really an emergency). They offer a basic menu of basic healthcare, for average people who do or don't have insurance, at reasonable prices (reasonable = still expensive, but less than some places and especially less than the emergency room). No frills, sort of like urgent cares used to be only they have more appointments available so the "Zoom" part is more applicable. I like that you can visit their website and get a same day appointment and be in and out of there with minimum hassle. I saw a physician's assistant who spent plenty of time with me. They called several times to see how I was doing afterwards, which was a nice touch. My own usual doc never does that, so the bonus service was kind of notable. I wouldn't go here for true emergencies, but if you just need some help with an injury or allergies, or something straight forward, go for it! read more

Just what I have ALWAYS wanted! A doctor I can go to when I ACTUALLY need it. 80% of the time when I need to see a doctor I need them immediately, like for Pneumonia or an infection. Where waiting a few days just isn't a option, but going to the emergency room is not necessary. And the thought of going to urgent care frightens me. Whenever I have gone there I have had to wait 4+ hours sick and tortured in the waiting room (not exactly 'urgent' care) and then it costs an arm and a leg for their service which isn't always covered by insurance since it's not a 'routine' doctors appointment. Zoomcare is the best of all worlds. Came down with pneumonia sick as a dog and called them 1pm on a Sunday afternoon they gave me an appointment for 1:45pm! Wow! Got there filled out NO paper work sat down for 5 mins and at 1:45 on the dot the PA came out and brought me into the exam room. The PA asked me all the necessary questions, she was a bit cold and robotic, but very fast and efficient. And honestly I didn't come for flowers and smiles I just want to get better, so her efficiency didn't bother me one bit. She determined it was pneumonia wrote me three prescriptions and an hour later I had the medicine in my hand and was feeling better within 24 hours. Without them I would of had to WAIT 24 hours just to get IN to SEE a doctor! Or paid and arm and a leg at an Urgent care. They take insurance to and are on the BCBS network! I'm going to go to Zoomcare from now on for probably just about everything unless it's something very specialized. read more

Had my second experience with a Zoomcare clinic visit today, and they are two for two in impressing me. The online appointment scheduler has gotten me in within two hours of my initial website visit. No more, "The doctor has an appointment available in 4-6 weeks..." phone calls. Coming off many years of Kaiser insurance I've come to expect long waits to get an appointment, appointment that take up half your day, and usually multiple visits to address one issue. Needless to say, Zoomcare has shocked me with their efficiency and processes. Both visits I have been in and out in less than 30 minutes. The exams were professional and thorough. They are able to perform basic lab testing on-site. Their follow-up instructions are detailed and they will make appointments for you at referred facilities for follow-up care. The healthcare system could certainly take a few lessons from these efficiency experts! I even like the IKEA-esque sparse décor of the offices. For basic healthcare needs I am going to be visiting ZoomCare more often - even if the co-pay is slightly higher than seeing a "regular" doctor. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about zoomcare and the amazing way they handle health care in this day and age. They have amazing service, are prompt, and thourough. I actually work at a local hospital and sometimes prefer to go to zoomcare instead of my normal doctor. They have often tested me for things and even caught certain illnesses overlooked by my regular doctor. You can use the online website or call to make appointments and i always seem to get in within a few hours. The doctors are always very friendly and extremelly thourough looking at all the possible options for your ailments. All of the test results come through to you via an easy to use online webiste where you sign in with a user name and password to have secure access to your results. The doctor also always follows up with their opinions and advice about the test results. I have been nothing but happy with zoomcare and will continue to use them in the future. read more

You should know when you subscribe to the ZoomCare world you have to accept and rejoice in a few things. Rejoice in the fact that you can generally get same day effective care for issues that may arise. There are many doctors and locations to chose from so if you have a few favorites you can always return during their available hours. Care is modern and simple. Accept that even though they may take your insurance you will still need to pay up front usually and bill your insurance yourself. The level of professionalism sometimes feels less, I personally find this a bonus typically as stuffy doctors office protocol feels too clinical and impersonal to me. You may have to pay for a second or third visit to resolve one thing since you generally go into an appointment first to explain the issue, this could ad up fast. There's many more pros and cons but it's a step towards normalizing health care that I support. Waiting months for a physical from my PCP can be frustrating so it's nice to know there are options and affordable emergency care. I use them typically for routine physicals and tests for contract work requirements that I don't want to ad to my insurance claims every year. The spaces are always clean and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. read more

I've had hit or miss encounters with zoomcare. I've gone several times over the course of the last year for various things from allergic reactions to strep throat. The first 2 times I went to zoom I almost felt like getting blood work done was invasive and almost excessive (I just had a ton of bug bites that weren't healing) and all of my test were clean and negative. Just excess tests when you aren't feeling 100% are kind of a bummer. Recently I've been having pain for 2 weeks and saw a practitioner who requested some imaging done after doing a very quick and not so thorough exam and when that was completed told me to lie low and see what happens. (Everything looked healthyI wasn't having it and came back in 2 days later, met with a new doctor who finally did all of the lab work, exam work, etc that should have been done the first day I walked in! She gave me antibiotics and I'm already so relieved I could cry. It finally felt like a doctor was on my side and really wanted me to get better as quickly as possible. I'm writing her a thank you note as soon as I finish this review (it had been that long of a medical week of no relief) read more

Just got back from a last minute visit to ZoomCare. A friend of mine had taken his son there a few times and recommended it. Was able to make an online appointment for the same afternoon. I see that another reviewer compared ZoomCare to Trader Joe's: I first thought of a combination of an Apple Store and Umpqua Bank. The customer service was great and everything was computerized (I even got notes about my visit). The thing I loved the most though was the feel - no stuffy doctors office, no sick patients, just a nice, clean, airy space. I was pretty skeptical before entering this place. It seems too fancy to be an urgent care. Shouldn't there be hoards of people waiting in uncomfortable chairs for hours? Maybe even a 70s television playing fuzzy PBS? This place exceeded my expectations. First, you can make your appointment online so there is no major waiting. The next available appointment was within 30 minutes! It's like medicine on demand! When I arrived, I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. There was no paperwork, no signatures needed on 100 forms. I just handed over my insurance card, my photo ID, and that was it. I met with a PA, which I don't have any problems with vs an MD in these kinds of situations. She spent a thorough 30 minutes getting my history and doing a quick assessment. Everything was done electronically and in the end, she wrote my prescription on her computer which was sent directly over to my pharmacy. By the time I checked out and got to my pharmacy, my medications were already ready! As a health professional myself, I have to say I thought it was strange that she A) didn't take my vital signs and B) didn't ask if I was pregnant or trying to get pregnant. I feel these items can provide some pretty pertinent information that could influence care. Nonetheless, I left satisfied and would definitely come back. read more

I just recently moved up to Portland, but was having a bit of an emergency and needed to see someone ASAP. I Yelped health care providers and found ZoomCare. I would like to note I have never had a good experience with any hospital or health care provider. Therefor, I was very timid about setting this appointment, because I figured it would be a waste of time and money. It wasn't at all! I called in at 10:30am and got an appointment for 11:30am. That same day! I also didn't have to wait on hold for hours on end! I got there about fifteen minutes early just in case I needed to fill anything out. Knowing I would have to do a urine sample I drank some water so I would be able to do the deed. I usually end up doing the pee pee dance when I go to other providers because they don't get to me until fifteen minutes to a half hour after my scheduled appointment, but not at ZoomCare! While I was waiting to see the doctor they had me provide my urine sample, I was thrilled. No pee pee dance for me. ZoomCare cares about your bladder. The doctor than came and got me at the time of my appointment. She listened to what I had to say, spent time examining me, diagnosed me, and provided me with medication on the spot (no waiting for a half hour at Safeway). The best part of this whole experience is that it all happened within a half hour! They saved me from having to make a costly ER trip! I have never been so pleased after a doctors appointment. I went in recently to the Alberta location to get a sore throat looked at. The NP who helped was fantastic and the receptionist was quick and friendly. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes and on my way to the pharmacy. ZoomCare was what I needed that day- a quick diagnosis of strep and a scrip for meds. Clearly, this place isn't supposed to replace your PCP or a Specialist office. But if you were like me that day- sick, on your lunch break and in need of a quick fix for a minor problem- zoomcare is the place. read more

I thought I was having a very bad case of allergies, until a coworker called in sick with "pink eye." I made a b-line for Zoomcare. The positives: They saw me without an appointment (I got a bit lucky), they were very friendly and the visit was quick & easy. The cons: I didn't have pink eye. Actually, that's a pro. The con is that they diagnosed me as having a bad case of the allergies, and prescribed some eyedrops for good measure. IT WAS A $400 PRESCRIPTION. No mention of the cost by the NP, or even the suggestion to try something off the shelf before going all in on a $400 bottle of eyedrops. (Can you imagine the price per gallon? Honestly?) I'm sure they're super eyedrops and everything, I'm just saying the proposed cure was excessive for a guy complaining of seasonal allergies. Don't be afraid to ask about the prescription you're being offered. There are often many similar alternatives at profoundly different price-points based on whatever condition you may have. I love the convenient location and know they'll be here for me when I need them. The only problem I found was that the website was super confusing. It wasn't clear how to set up a primary care physician. So, while I technically ended up at the wrong clinic, it was a wonderful experience. I filled out all of the information on the app requested, and when I hit the submit button, the app froze. Having an urgent need, I called the number listed instead. I told the person on the other end of the line that I hadn't been able to make an appointment on the app, and called the number to do so. The person on the other end of the line started talking about how sometimes the app glitches, how sometimes if the web browser is out of date it won't work, and what happens on his own device when he tries to make an appointment. He then started asking me questions about my device, and I realized we weren't on the same page. So I said "I called to make an appointment because the app wasn't working for me - can I do that on the phone?". Rather than answer my question, he kept talking about tech issues and how to solve them. Finally I interrupted him again and said "I have an urgent need. This is an urgent care clinic, is it not? I did not call you for tech support, I called you because I have a broken toe and need to be seen." He then started explaining that the phone number listed for Zoomcare isn't only for Zoomcare, and he doesn't work for them, he works for a larger company that contracts with Zoomcare. I said "Can I make an appointment through you or not?" and he STILL did not answer with the simple "No" that would suffice. He launched into a suggestion of going to the ER if I had an emergency and I said "thank you very much" and hung up. Holy smokes dude, just say yes or no. It's URGENT. Literally, WTF. I really hope your supervisor hears the recording of that phone call. P.S. I ended up at Providence. They made an appointment over the phone with no issues or run around. read more

I had an overall positive experience at this ZOOM+Care location. I was able to make a very last minute (20 minutes prior) mid-week appointment for a well visit with a NP here. I was almost late but made it just before their cutoff. If you're later than five minutes past your appointment time you'll be asked to reschedule. As long as you actually reschedule for some time in the future there's no fee. Even though I was a few minutes late I didn't feel rushed at all during the appointment. The NP completed multiple screening questions with me and even spent the time to discover that I had two charts and had them merged. She was professional and friendly. I was a little confused about some comments she made concerning blood pressure not increasing during exercise, since I know that systolic can raise some when you work out, but overall what she said seemed to be accurate. I had entered my insurance and payment information online, so checkout was fast, which I appreciated. Lab results came back very quickly as well, along with explanations of these results by providers at the clinic. I would gladly return. read more

Three weeks into a nasty cold I realized I needed to face facts; I probably had a sinus infection. My third one in the last year. Only difference is, now I had insurance! Instead of suffering through, I could be like all the fancy people who see doctors when they feel bad. At 10:45 this morning I called the Alberta location to see if they could get me in this weekend. The lady on the phone asked if 11:00am would work. "11:00am TODAY?!" I squeaked. She confirmed that I was hearing correctly, and I was out the door. Ten minutes later I arrived, checked in, and was offered a cup of tea. As I took my first sip the doctor walked in and called my name. I followed her to an exam room where she talked to me for a for a bit about my symptoms and then examined my ears nose and throat. She confirmed that I did indeed have a sinus infection and wrote me a prescription. She then informed me that it would be filled AT THE FRONT COUNTER. She answered a few of my questions and told me I was free to go. From the time I called until I left the office with prescription in hand, exactly THIRTY MINUTES had elapsed. True story. read more
