Check in is electronic and if you need help the lab worker at the front desk will stand next to you and assist you. You walk into the room and go to the electronic touch screen kiosk. Place your license/ID on the card holder and it scans it and brings up your info. Press the yes or no on the prompts onscreen and in a minute, you're checked in. After that, the woman at the front desk calls your name and you hand in the lab order. If you get here early, just before they open, you're the first up and the first to leave within the hour. It can be anywhere from 20 min to an hour. Not bad. read more

Sure, they get you in and out. Sometimes. I checked in at the desk and the woman who looked at my insurance card asked me 2 questions about my card. The answer to both questions she asked me were ON THE CARD in her hand. I thought, well, she's having a rough day but she's just the front desk. NOPE, she ended up being the person who drew my blood. Want to know how that went? If you get faint or squeamish stop reading now. She punctured my vein straight through. It hurt, badly. I bruised up and down my entire arm and have had the bruising on my arm from this broken vein for 2+ weeks. I've had to wear a compression sleeve and ice my arm every day. I also cannot work out because the circulation is broken. My arm goes freezing cold if I try to work out. I don't know her name. She worked at the front desk on Wednesday 9/18. Aichmophobia: the fear of pointed objects including but not limited to knives, scissors, and of course needles. This is NOT a fear I suffer from which is pointedly displayed (no pun intended) by my many tattoos on my body canvas. Yet, even I cringe when finding out I need blood work performed due to the many nurses in my time of existence who have declared that I have "tiny, thin veins" and poked and prodded me like I was a voodoo doll. So, to say the least, I wasn't pleased when my doctor referred me to Labcorp for blood work due to my veins coupled with very-negative Yelp reviews for each and every Labcorp location. Yet, I had no choice and had to strengthen my resolve for the Burbank location. Labcorp is a chain of lab testing clinics performing urine drug screenings, HIV tests, and blood work for general practitioners. The Burbank location is housed in a multi-floor building on the corner of Alameda/Naomi in the medical hub section of Burbank adjacent to the Burbank Studios. The immediate downfall of Labcorp is that although the building has underground parking; it isn't free (not overly expensive, though). So if you aren't down with playing for parking (which I am not); give yourself ample time to find street parking in the area which does get tricky because there aren't many side streets. Once inside the lobby, elevators are available to take patients to the second floor where Labcorp is located at the end of the hallway on the left (past bathrooms and janitorial offices in suite 203). Photos on Yelp of the Labcorp lobby is outdated as the carpeting is gone and actually replaced with some nice flooring but the waiting room is still the bare minimum with just chairs and no TVs, reading materials, or anything of visual appeal. Several posters glaringly declare no cell phone usage of any kind in the waiting room but you can sure as heck bet EVERY single individual in the waiting area was on their cell phones and some even engaged in voice calls! I recommend bringing reading material, however. Upon arrival, Labcorp requires a sign-in which asks whether you had an appointment or not. Now, here is the nitty-gritty: One can make online appointments for Labcorp for each type of testing. This is easy-peasy (it took me about 3 minutes, tops) and I DEFINITELY recommend this. The wait time with or without an appointment can be long (although that wasn't the case for me, which we will get to) and especially for the drug testing where people around me were complaining about having waited over an hour. Now, I don't know if it is because less people are at Labcorp for blood work and this was matched with my having made an appointment but I waited about 10 minutes to be seen. Not only that, but I have NO clue what everyone else in these Yelp reviews is talking about in terms of filth and poor facilities because I saw none of this! The clinic and room I was taken to were just fine. Yes, everything continues with the 'bare-minimum' theme and there WERE needle caps on the floor (okay, that's probably not 100% kosher); but it wasn't at all like what I prepared myself for. Granted, I was never in the bathrooms for drug testing which is what people complain the most about. Another Yelp complaint I didn't experience? I was ready to deal with disgruntled staff and rude, grouchy vampire-phlebotomists. Well, nope! The front desk girl was kind and the phlebotomist taking three test tubes full of my blood was physically well-presented and a super sweet gal even asking which arm I prefer to be drawn from and taking into account that I told her I have thin veins. She was personable and got my vein in one, painless poke! The frustrations from Yelpers saying they were bruised and injured from the needle? Again, no idea what they are talking about. I had no issue. It is the next day and I have no discoloration, scabbing, or issues and just a teeny-tiny poke-mark. In fact, this was one of my EASIEST blood-taking experiences! Sorry, Yelpers! Did I go someplace else?! Or am I just REALLY lucky? I was in and out in minutes with no need to re-visit the front desk and no issues with insurance/billing. Easy as cake (except for the fact that I was starving for said cake because I had to fast for 9 hours for my blood tests!). At the end of the day, I don't really have any complaints against Labcorp except for no validation for parking. Now, perhaps if I ever have to come here for drug testing, then suddenly I will hate life and wish death on Labcorp. However, in terms of blood work for my doctor; this was a solid location and not at all the hell that others experienced. I suppose Labcorp is hit-or-miss but luckily it was a solid hit down the baseline for me. So until next time my thin veins need poked; Labcorp remains an-okay clinic in my book. read more

Trash place and the woman, a heavy set black women (don't get mad, I'm a black man) at the front was loud and was not helpful. My wife had an appointment. It was on the paperwork. Doctors name was on the paperwork but because she couldn't do the slightest bit of legwork to find out why SHE struggled to figure out what was needed, she put it on my wife who's suffering with stage 4 cancer. We got there 15 minutes early, checked in on the kiosk and then sat and sat... 25 minutes later my wife gets called to the desk. Insurance card and paperwork. Wife is always prepared... this is our life right now. My wife sits down. All of a sudden woman in front would not get out of her seat to speak to a coworker and instead yelled for the other lady to come to her. Realize that she's not remotely bombarded with people in her face since there are kiosks to check in. BTW by the time she got to us, there were only two people there. Not a full office. She says we don't have the right paperwork. It's the ONLY paperwork and it was mailed. Had ALL the info needed and THEY gave us the appointment. Most people who's job it is to work with the customer/client would be to follow up. NOPE. She put the onus on my wife to follow up and we're not even sure what she wants since nothing is missing We never got my wife's lab work though (because of their speciality) because of her not even TRYING to be helpful. Her help was and I quote "Let me know what you're going to do" as my wife perplexed was blown away since we had an appointment. I chose not to get loud, because I really was in that mental mode but we left. My wife could tell this is a low budget version of Labcorp (she's gone to other ones) and the staff is overwhelmed by the basics and/or rude. DO NOT EVER GO THERE unless it's a simple drug screening or whatnot. If they have to think, it's useless. They need to fire that woman up front. Too lazy and in the wrong business. read more

I experienced an extremely long wait time- I was told it would be roughly 15 minutes, but it took over 45 minutes. I ended up leaving and choosing another, better facility. Although the receptionist was friendly, the phlebotomist and lab technicians were very rude. They were more concerned about going to lunch than helping patients. They told me I was "next" but assisted 3 patients before helping me. The lack of professionalism shows that they need to learn how to communicate better with their guests. Additionally, the trash cans were overflowing, making me question their sanitation methods. I'm glad I didn't stay. read more

Yes, I went in during covid. Just because we have to deal with covid doesn't mean common decency goes out the window. The receptionist was extremely rude to the woman in front of me who promptly left. Then she was rude when she barked at me to make an appointment. When I inquired about making the appointment she was very condescending and said, "uh, go to the website?" I'll never go back to that location again. If I ever have to go to lab corp, I am going to chose the Burbank location, I was a walk in, the lady at the front was kind enough to tell me how much I will be waiting, I didn't mind at all because I took a day off to take care of my business, and nowadays it is hard to get an appointment everywhere. I guess never trust the reviews on yelp because they might be wrong, and yes for me non of the bad reviews were true. I had to go here for a drug test for my new job. I didn't have an appointment but they only have a small window for drug testing. This place isn't very clean, quite filthy I must add. It smelled a bit funky. They also don't have enough help. People were kept waiting for a while in the waiting room. It's $.85 per 20 minutes of parking in the garage. You'll have to leave your keys in your car in case the attendant has to move it. Cars are parked one behind the other. read more

I've been sick most of my life and have visited a large number of labs for blood work etc. This location is by far the most unprofessional I have ever seen. Frankly I'm surprised they can operate with a license. The wait time was minimal and the staff were willing to verify my insurance and answer my requests. However, the cleanliness was abysmal! The bathroom I was told to leave my urine sample in had not been cleaned and there was urine around the seat, the toilet handle was broken and had yellow caution on it, there was no soap at the sink, and a large cleaning cart was placed there with paper towels. How are they supposed to collect good samples in such an unsanitary environment? On my way in I passed boxes of trash in the hallway and two huge beat up and half opened biohazard trash cans were in the lab room where they ran my blood work. The phlebotomist was nice but put several pieces of tape on her gloves as if covering holes. The whole place makes me nervous about sanitation, and is left feeling concerned about whether the needles used to draw my blood will leave me with something more than I came with. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I came to this location as I was assigned here through my new employment to have a drug screening. I checked in, and waited my turn. I didn't complain, nor did I ask how long the process would take. The man who came out from the back called the other man in the waiting room ahead of me who had an appointment, and then proceeded to give me a lecture about patience, and lying. He said, "I know when I spoke with you yesterday..." and I interrupted him and said, "I didn't speak with you yesterday, I didn't even see you here." He then said, "ok fine but let me finish. I look at people and a big part of drug and background checks is patience. Some people try to come in and bring in their urine sample and rush out of here..." I said, "what is happening right now?!" And started laughing at how preposterous this entire situation was. I had not brought in a urine sample, neither was I trying to "rush out" of the place. He kept saying he would take me in, but that I needed to be patient. I didn't once say anything or ask what was taking so long, I was completely mortified. He was speaking with a raised voice, and talking down to me like he was trying to control me or the situation he had conjured up in his head. I have never seen such erratic behavior from a medical establishment toward a patient before. Once I was in for my test, the guy tried to explain how he gets all sorts of people in there, perhaps as a way of apologizing for how he acted. The two women at the front desk were not friendly at all, nor were they apologetic about the guy's behavior. The whole situation was just very uncomfortable. I was happy with the service I received at Labcorp in Burbank on 6/14/21. The waiting room was clean and bright and still practicing Covid safety protocols. I came as a walk-in and asked if I could be taken, that I wouldn't mind waiting, not realizing it was close to closing time. Barbara was very nice and said they could take me and asked me to register on their system. I had a brief wait and was then taken in and had blood drawn by Jameelah, who was also very nice and very competent. Both Barbara and Jameelah were courteous and professional and friendly. I walked in today with my mom to this Lab Corp in Burbank.This was my first time at this location.As we walked in to the lobby, I noticed a sign stating"Appointments Only". Unfortunately, my mom did not have an appointment and she needed to get some lab work before seen her primary doctor next week. We walked up to the reception area and the young lady named Barbara informed us that they would be able to see my mom. I was very content that they were able to take my mom without an appointment. My mom had to submit a urine sample as well as having her blood withdrawn. My mom was seen with a very short wait time and Barbara also was the person who drew my mother's blood sample. My mother is 75 years old and her veins are extremely thin.My mother informed me that Barbara did a fantastic job on Withdrawing my mother's blood.My mother said that she barely could feel the needle.We will be returning to this locatiin.Thank you Barbara! read more

I give this location FIVE stars due to the compassion, and patience of the employees working there. I had an appointment using their website for a pre-employment drug screening in Glendale, which apparently is NOT possible. The Glendale Labcorp employees should immediately all be trained on common courtesy or fired and replaced. They told me I made a mistake and read the appointment fill out sheet wrong, I'm a straight A student, I know very well how to read in multiple languages and can stand to tutor them instead of being talked down to. There is no point in arguing with an idiot who wont listen, so I politely exited that disgrace of a Lab in Glendale. I flew over to Burbank to see if there was ANY possible way i could get some answers from people who werent neanderthals saying I made a mistake by not reading correctly. I was greeted by Andy, who told me he could not find my appointment, confirmation, or test type. Of course this made me angry, but not at him, but at the corporation for having such an inept system. Instead of brushing me off and rushing me out of the door, he was VERY polite, patient, and allowed me ample time and space to accommodate to my needs. When I finally got all of the information, he was very kind and happy that I finally found out the information, and completely walked me through the process patiently again. I would like to commend him for his extremely courteous nature, he was able to uphold the professional standards of the company to the utmost highest regards, I just wish that any other Labcorp I went to had a fraction of his attitude. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Let's start off with the fact that NO ONE picks up the phone at this location! I have been trying to confirm my mother's appointment for days now (as I think I may have written it down incorrectly) and have tried pressing multiple options to see if I can find a LIVE human. As such, she's going to have to go in twice to see if it's her appointment day or not. Second, this location only takes appointments (no walk-ins anymore). Guess what? It takes weeks to get an appointment so you have to schedule it so far out in advance. Unbelievable. If it wasn't for the easy location (near where we live), we'd go somewhere else. read more

I came to this location to get lab work done. Everything seemed ok until I got my labs reported to my doctor. There was weird readings in my urine and blood work. And my doctor decided to re-test my labs but only at UCLA, not Labcorp. So after I got my urine test back from UCLA lab, my test was nite and day to LAbcorp. My readings were accurate and matched my symptoms. So in all LabCorp botched all my lab work!!! Don't use them if possible. read more

Labcorp Burbank @ 2701 West Alameda is OK, not great. I've gone both as a walk-in and with an appointment with no issues, or long wait. What does bother me is that they don't use phones, but I'm assuming that's a corporate decision. Makes for a quieter reception area, I suppose. I agree with other yelpers that the place could be cleaner. The phlebotomists were fine, nothing outstanding. The nicest one had a hard time getting my rolling vein to cooperate - she stuck me three times! But we bonded over Game of Thrones, so I was having fun. The parking garage is not good - I do not use it anymore. My gyno is in this building, too, so I am here every few months for bloodwork or an appt. The man who runs/works/owns(?) it is unpleasant, and even rude sometimes. I now park on the street if I'm lucky, or use the building next door. read more

Not the best, not the worst. Cons: It isn't fancy, it's always crowded (walk-in and appointments), they don't validate parking, and there's little privacy at check in. Pros: they take my insurance (way cheaper in network), you can make appointments online, and both times I went, and the place was packed, the staff were nice and blood was drawn quickly. This place is pretty bad in terms of customer service and very very slow. We needed a drug screen and walked into a room of very unhappy people waiting for their turn to pee in a cup. Shouldn't take that long honestly. One person said they had been waiting an hour even though they had an appointment and really needed to use the restroom. He was very rudely addressed and told to have a seat after they ignored him for a solid 5 minutes. I've been to other drug screening sites and they don't usually take more than 5-10 minutes per person. This place took about 30-40 minutes per person. I should've read the reviews before going in as they clearly don't have a good reputation. I do not recommend this place. I'm sure other Lab Corps are better but this one is a bust. read more

K I am not sure why this place has a bad rating, and I am glad I ignored that. The staff were all so friendly, helpful, and prompt. I hate needles; they made me feel comfortable. The nurse/tech found my vein on the first go. I came at the end of the day and late to my appt. They were still able to see me in a timely manner. I will say as a critique--It was a slower day. I could tell that if there were more patients, they would have been short-staffed and there would have been a delay. Key points: 1) make an appointment online. 2) get there with a few minutes to spare, the office is hard to find (2nd floor above the pharmacy) 3) don't bookend your appointment with other appointments. This way if they are running behind you will not be in a rush. read more

Not thrilled in my experiences with this labcorp. I have to get blood taken every couple weeks for a medical condition, so I've come here a few times now. First let me say, MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. You can do it easily right on their website. The first time I came I got lucky and there were only 2 people there, so I thought that would be the case every time. The second time I came, in the morning, the office was so crammed with people there wasn't even a seat for me. Apparently they are the most crowded in the morning. After waiting an hour and only hearing them call 3 names, I left and made an appointment for later in the day. It was much faster with an appointment, I only had to wait 10 minutes or so. My biggest problem with this office, though, is: 1) nobody is very friendly. I don't know, they all seem tired and sad and underpaid. When you're getting your blood drawn, it's always nice if they at least TRY to put you at ease. 2) I've had 2 different people draw my blood here, and neither were particularly gentle on my arm. I have a nice, fat vein on my right arm, and so most of the time if someone takes blood and they aren't in a rush, I can't even feel it, but here both times it's been pretty uncomfortable during and after. Not a huge deal, but they could try to be a little more careful. 2) this may seem silly, but the waiting room doesn't even have ONE magazine to read. with wait times like they have, you'd think they'd throw out a couple Time magazines or something. Parking here is pretty rough. They have their own lot that only takes CASH, and you pay every 20 minutes ($0.85 every 20). So if you get lucky and it's pretty fast it won't cost too much, but if they happen to have a wait (which sometimes happens even with an appointment) that can add up fast. You can try to look for street parking (most streets around here are 2 hour) - but since this is right across from the hospital street parking is hard to find. If you don't mind walking 10 minutes or more you'd probably find a spot on the street, but it's a hassle. read more

This is the WORST place. I do NOT recommend it. They lost my specimen & had my husband dig in the trash to give them more. Then I go & take another specimen. I knew they had the doctor's order but since they "lost" the previous ones, I had the doctor's office print out the order & I wrapped it around his specimen container in the bag they provided. They said they didn't receive it & I handed to the lady in their lab! So he takes another specimen to our dr & they refuse to take it because it wasn't in their container! It's stool. All 4 stool containers the lab gave us had nothing in them but our stool. This is RIDICULOUS! I would go somewhere else! read more

Firstly, I have to tell James T. he can stuff it. I was there with two coworkers (nurses) on our lunch hour for our temp to perm employee blood test and we had the worst experience that had us leaving the office seeing red! Firstly, their drug screening hours are listed incorrectly in the our e-mail. If they have changed them, they need to notify their contracting companies. We arrived at 11:45am for a supposed drug screening window of 11am - 2pm. We were met rudely by Kathleen at the front desk who told us that testing is betwee 12:30pm and 2:30pm. We notified her that the office listing on the first floor says LabCorp is at lunch from 12:30pm - 1:30pm. Instead of apologizing for the error, she just brushed it aside. We grabbed lunch and came back promptly at 12:30pm. She only started taking paperwork at 12:30pm instead of being proactive and doing it earlier as people were already waiting to be seen. Now, there had to be at least 15 people in that tiny waiting room and we were all commiserating about how long we had been waiting and the complete inefficiency of this location and poor customer service. When I was finally called in for the actual test, Kathleen attempted to threaten by saying that she "could report us to our employers for our behavior". I'm sorry, but what?! You are poorly running an office and you have the audacity to threaten me for MY behavior? I took the test and got the heck out of dodge at 1:45pm. I have taken plenty of employement drug screening tests and this has to be the worst experience I have ever had. Please! avoid this location at all costs! read more

Dude at the window was helpful, but seriously if I already have to pay to park for EVERY 20 minutes that passes - you'd think they'd want to have this go as fast and smooth as possible for the customer. Just left their office and wow. I arrived at 3pm and tried to hand my form from the Drs office to the woman at the desk, I asked if she needed to see the form she said she would look at it when she called me up. After one hour of waiting they call my name but it turns out there was someone else there with the same name and they were calling her, except she had just walked in and mind you there are about 15 people waiting. I asked if she was calling me and she looked at my name confused since nearly everyone after me was crossed off. I showed her my form which was for a prenatal screen test and she said we can't do that test after 4pm you're going to have to come back and next time you need to be here before 3pm. You can imagine my frustration. I told her I had been waiting for an hour. She said "you should've shown us that form when you came in" after saying that she didn't want to deal with me she said she would call the other employee to come talk to me. I was very calm throughout the entire hour I waited and I didn't raise my voice or get angry with them. But all they had to do was simply apologize, not try to get me to come in the next day because they didn't want to take my blood that day, and try to make it my fault. If they just said sorry for the misunderstanding I'm sure most of these bad reviews wouldn't be here and after all that the woman who drew my blood was very harsh and it hurt bad. This seriously needs to be an Undercover Boss episode! As a person who works in Healthcare, shame on Labcorp being a representative of the Healthcare Profession. I go with no appointment, which was fine. Look for the "confidential" signup sheet. Had to ask. I think primarily this is a place where people get employment drug screenings and they need to treat their "normal" patient not like that. There were two people behind the counter, one loud mouthed obnoxious dude, and an African American gal. Dude must have been really insecure about him self because was talking really loud, about someone and all around unprofessional. Too much yakking and not enough customer service. Ok so my bad that I didn't realize I had to do a urine sample. He pulls out a paper cup with a lid on (no gloves mind you) write my name on it, and tells me the bathroom is around the corner. There was no sanitizing wipe to go with it, no record number label and just ewww. Well I had just come from a Mammo with fabulous patient care and I had just emptied my bladder. But I try, but I'm sorry you can't make nature call when it doesn't. So tell them this, they keep insisting that maybe I drink some water, but I'd been hold it so long that a couple cups of H20 wasn't going to do it. So I asked if we could just do the blood work and I'll come back for the urine sample later, or just cancel it. I asked them if was inconvenient OR what would work better for THEM!. Dude gave me an attitude, and bitched and complained the MD doesn't like this separate, etc. I girl actually entering the computer stuff didn't seems to mind and I'm pretty sure there is a delete record button that takes all of 3 secs to hit. Like others said, Biohazard containers out on the floor (OSHA??) I'm sure HIPPA violations, as I could see the computer screen a list of other patients name and numbers. Then they tell me to come to the room where they blood suck, and I quickly realize this guys was going to probably take my sample... OH H -TO the NO. TG that when I went over my paper work, he had made a mistake, I my bday (again running his mouth and not paying attention) then another professional phlebotomist comes into verify his mistake that he had corrected, but then found another mistake. She didn't look to thrilled that he was making these errors. She drew my blood using a standard needle, not the butterfly that I'm used to ( I have small child like arms), and the next day I looked like a junkie. She least apologized for the delay and fkup. Here is what got me the most. I have worked with the ordering (not as a patient) MD for many years and I told the guy that I'd just let the MD know, and he replied with the most rudest and I don't think I've ever been insulted like this EVER. "I don't know if you were a pencil pushing person or what for him but ... " Oh I don't pull the degree card ever because I respect people for what they do not who they are, but I had to tell this guy that I have a Masters, and I did research. I couldn't believe that. I would rather go to Quest and pay out of pocket than to ever go this location again. LabCorp, puts Corporate before Customer Services, that's for damn sure. ***UPDATE** 2/23/15 After being extremely disturbed about this, I wrote to the CMO at their corporate headquarters. 3rd time in my life that I've written a complaint directly to a corporate management member. The response was favorable, and prompt.. so we shall see. "First I would like to apologize for your poor experience at our Patient Service Center.
